I'm on COS12 and my proximity sensor isn't working
When answering a call the screen doesn't turn off when the phone is near my ear and doesn't turn back on when the call is ended.
I'm using multirom, if this should make a difference.
What should i do

The only thing I can really suggest is flashing a Lollipop modem.

You won't lose data when you update via kies.....
Sent from my GT-I9103
Yeah you are right. Data willnt be loose. bt I think Rooting will be lost in that case( as i have updated via kies it always did that).
But I dont think so you need to create a whole thread as we are already discussing this thing in MJ's thread which is Here.
So please close this one & we shall move to above mentioned Thread.
Reporting to MOD. Please pulley buddy dont mind this.:highfive:

If you use the stock messaging app you probably won't have that issue.

Hello XDA,
2 days ago I installed CyanogenMod via their new installer everything went great. After a 2 days of testing I decided that the Nexus 5 is a great phone and doesn't need any custom rom (atleast not for me). So I followed this guide to unrooting the device and setting it back to the stock rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
I selected recovery and after that I'm supposed to see a dead android. But I'm not seeing anything my screen is black. I can some light so it is still turned on.
I'm kinda freaking out over here so I really could use some help on restoring this ( if its possible ).
Greetings,
Liquidfood.
I'm dutch so my English might not be perfect.
Can you get into the bootloader? Our is your screen black too? I would try to flash the factory image again

That's not a good sign. Look for the LG flash tool, I believe it's in the general forum and try that. I think it's your only hope at this point.

How you should I go about this. I still have warranty in the store that I bought it form ( probably not because bootloader is unlocked. ). But I wanna try it anyways should I tell them the truth or not? And can I send it directly to google/lg?
Ok so a miracle happend. I got it to work again, I let the battery drain and hooked it up to my computer and got in the bootloader. So I flashed the rom again and now it worked!
Greetings,
I found my OPO not able to wake up during call using CM11S, is it just me or a common problem?
Cheers.
It isn't a common problem that I've seen. Did u make any recent changes or flash anything recently?

I've had sane problem. Solved it by flashing completely stock ROM, then rooting again. It seems to be usual occurrence if you are coming from ColorOS.

I have been on an early version of CM 11 forever and never had any problems until a few days ago my screen rotation stopped. I tried toggling auto rotate on and off with no luck. I rebooted the phone many times with no luck. I even updated to 11.0-XNPH05Q with no luck. Any body have any suggestions on what to try here? Thanks
Anything?
What if I clear the device cache?
Your best bet is to update to COS 1.3.1.1 with lastest firmware.

Would that erase any of my data and settings? I am quite content with my OS as it is now but I will update if I know it will fix it.

I wont lose anything by upgrading that much right? That's like 2 whole versions of Cyanogen ahead of where I am at now.
You should not, just by updating, if you are completely stock.

Last question. What would be the reason the update would fix the issue?

Not sure why screen rotation issues started, but I guarantee it is a firmware issue. I remember CM11S had screen rotation issues but then. But updating to COS 13.1.1 will also update you to lastest firmware and should fix your issues.

The update did fix my issues. I just am new having a few other issues with the new OS like my LTE isn't working and my BG Tube app is glitchy in background playback. But thank you for helping me solve the screen rotation issue.

Yeah. Signal was better on KK and LP. Old firmware did better with signal. I still get LTE, but it was better on older firmwares. As far as YouTube app, not sure. But glad you screen rotation is working ?
