Yes, this will cause third-party software.. You can check the settings/ battery section..

I installed Go launcher and go weather about 2 weeks ago. On and off I realized that the battery would drain faster and looking into CPUSpy would show that the phone is not going to Deep sleep.
So when this happened yesterday, I started uninstalling widgets one by one to check. The culprit - Go weather.
My assumption is that when I connect to 3G or WiFi, Go weather tries to update the weather automatically (Oh yeah, I had enabled that function) and when I disconnect before it updates it keeps on trying to update and prevents the phone going to deep sleep.
When I disabled auto update, the phone went to Deep Sleep and no more excessive battery drain.
Hope this helps someone !
Cheers.

Revert to Stock with Chaos kernel, over the night - airplane mode, battery went to 84% for 9hrs. What can I try to fix this?

this morning again, drain is back, transparent weather widget. Is there a fix for this? GPS was turned off (it was ON but not as image is showing)
same issue was on DroidKang ROM. This is from Stock ROM with Chaos kernel
Turn location off for that app on the bottom. Your GPS is stuck on. Or turn your location setting from device only to one of the other settings.

rebooting solves it, butI have noticed behavior like this with some other apps, for example foursquare. Is this normal for GPS to stuck like that? It was on 2 different ROM's
Hi. I would like to discuss regarding my Z5 dual battery life. I am a regular user. I already removed Facebook. All apps are greenified, no sync settings, just FB messenger and Viber. I never leave my bluetooth open, or location, nfc.
I noticed my phone doesnt sleep, it's always awake. Android System consumes most of the battery. With just 2-3 hrs screen time. Can someone give me an idea or solution to this?
I am on stock, rooted, locked bootloader Marshmallow. With Xperia X system UI. I already miss my Z2 amazing battery life.
Wi-Fi is always on, what setting is it on in the Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep?
Keep awake 15h 03m 36s (with only ~2h or screen on time) = Something is preventing your phone from going into deep sleep.
I've had a similar problem in the past and, in my case, the culprit was "Google Backup & restore" under "Backup & reset" in Settings. I disabled it, rebooter and re-enabled it. Problem gone.
It could be totally different in your case (I don't know what you're using) but if you're rooted, I'd suggest you to install BetterBatteryStats to determine what is keeping your device awake

Yes I keep wifi on during sleep, but i never had this kind of drain in my previous Z2. I recently got this Z5, like 3 weeks ago. Im starting to miss Stamina Modr, that was way better than doze.

Is there a way to have Power saving mode automatically turn on when battery level reaches a certain %?
Or, have a shortcut created on notification tray instead of the Ultra Battery mode?
Guess there is no way?
Automatically I don't think so. Maybe if you're rooted and using something like Tasker or Trigger.

Add Widget - Settings Shortcut - Battery Saver - Open Widget and Set - Delete Widget.
Available Settings: Never; 5%; 15%.
They seem to have forgotten to put this in settings. Couldn't find it anywhere else.

Superb find!
Yeah, was using the z launcher from Nokia. So there were no setting shortcuts.
Found it in default launcher.
Thanks
This seems to be separate from the battery saving in Phone Manager. When it auto activates, the one in Phone Manager is still not activated.
No way to turn this off without the widget either once the battery is below the set %
Sorry but with stock launcher I don't find that widget. I am a bit confused
Short howto for stock launcher

Hi, I've enable battery saver with widget shotrcutut but apparently when battery reaches 15 precent saver doesn't start.
Any clue how it works on the P10? Because Battery Saver is not an option within the widget.
Yes unfortunately this widget is not present on the P10
Even with the latestest B162 firmware.... I am also looking for such a way to enable battery Saver
In the quick shortcut menu, there is one but for the Ultra Economy mode which is so pointless.....
There definitely is some sort of automatic power saver as when I bought my p10 it used to automatically turn on power saver when the battery dropped below 50%. The main bar at the top would turn orange to indicate that power saver mode was on. At the time it drove me crazy and I spent ages trying to figure out how to turn it off. Now I can't remember how I did it or how to turn that function back on. It was on Android 7.0 though and now I'm on 8.0a so perhaps it was a Google OS setting somewhere....
I installed QuickShortcutMaker (it's all one word, I think) and then went to add a shortcut.
On my Mate 10 Pro I searched for saver, and it offered the screen where auto battery saving would kick in at 15%, or 5% or never.
Battery's not low enough yet to test if it actually works, though.
That app is really good for revealing hard to find settings.
Since today I'm on Open Beta 5, and I have the isse that apps like Snapchat/Instagram and Gmail aren't sending any notifications until I open the app and manually refresh them.
WhatsApp is working as it should.
I already checked the notification settings in these apps, but everything is set up as it should. I also tried "not optimizing" the apps in the battery settings, no help.
Any other idea?
Pin them in recents and it may help. Also make sure you have turned off sleep stanby optimisation under battery optimisation
