Hi,
I noticed that the S5 specs are wrong on the front homepage. It should say that the latest version of android is 5.0, but it does not say this. I am requesting to get this changed.
Thank you!

I don't think XDA lists the most current specs on the homepage for each device. I believe they list which android version the phone came with when it was first released.

You've posted this before but this is explained better.
NO
That's a ROM.
I'm running android l and in the Android Version, it does not say Android L.
It just says "L".
Also build number is different.
Mine is LPV79, yours is words.
Cambodroid.
They just changed the android version themselves. Or who knows you probably did.

Its okay. And correct. Its not official, and it won't mess up your phone
I dont know y they install me this. I had them repair my softbrick phone. Maybe they wanna test?
I think they repaired your device by flashing a new firmware. Which in most cases fixs a device.
So which is the real version of android i have here? Is it like a custom rom?
Its not real mate, its fake.

Hey guys
My friend just bought a new Huawei Mate 7 Gold yesterday and I checked the Android version and it says 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. He'd like to update it to Lollipop and since I have been doing such things for years on Samsung and HTC devices I thought I should help him out by checking the forum first. I found a helpful article about updating it to Lollipop OTA, however it is in German and the translation is terrible, so can anyone point me in the right direction?
As I said, the device is brand new and still has 4.4.2 unmodified Kit-Kat on it.
This is the article I am talking about: http://www.huaweiblog.de/huawei/huawei-mate-7-lollipop-update-download/
Thanks guys!
There's a thread dedicated to this in the general section
Thanks for you reply and for pointing me out to the right thread. From what I've read, it seems as though the Lollipop update is quite unstable nowadays and I should hold off till it's official, correct? I don't want my friend to go through a hassle because of it since he is not very tech-savvy.

I have installed lollipop 5.1.1 beta and its quite good but there's still many bugs. Maybe it is better to wait the official release.
I agree. If your friend is not tech savvy, hold first and wait for official release
It's usable as a daily driver, but no, not as stable as 4.4.2.
Generic overview:
-random reboots, not extremely frequent but they happen.
-some memory issues compared to 4.4.2
-a bit less battery
-some options not present
Hi, someone knows when will be release the official version of lollipop? No betas

Nope, and tbh i'm not extremely eager to run lollipop on most phones right now... Google screwed up pretty bad on this major version.

I second that. While material design is nice to look at, the memory leak and battery drain are causing issues in some lollipop phones
hi,I tried alot roms but can not install them, device is mate 7 2gb ,MT7-L09 and rom is B137SP11,I think this rom is developed from any rom,by the way official huawei site in which rom avaible this one did not install too.I have another problem when I use ussd codes not change tr expression in area codes, may be it will occur from tr expression,I buy it from TURKEY I think it will not give permission to set new rom on it?thanks

I did a live chat with Samsung online, and I asked about the lollipop update for the SM-T230NU, and they had confirmed that it is out. But you may not have it at the moment.

Same! I hope it is also true! Call Samsung in within of your country, if you live in the U.S.A, call them at: 1 (800) 726-7864
And ask them how to get the lollipop update for SM-T230NU.

I think that means it isn't coming and that the person (or bot) you were chatting with is expecting questions that are more like "How do I turn on wifi?" or "How can I update my phone?".

Yes, you are right, they are for very simple questions, not for something as technical as an update, just wait for a miracle

Samsung has confirmed that it is out. Many devices are still getting it.
Yes... devices like SM-T237, SM-T235, all LTE models. But SM-T230 or SM-T231...
Nice job being a troll samsung hasn't released an update for about a year now for the SM-T230NU and they are never going to update it to lollipop. Samsung is a very ****ty company and they only care about money unfortunately and new devices as they keep making way too many of them. Why would you even want 5.0.1 if anything i would want them to give us 5.1.1 lollipop that would make much more sense but best buy is not installing any lollipop update on your tab and im sorry if you think they are but they aren't. There just pulling your leg. You can even look on sammobile there is no update on there which is lollipop
Moderators please close this thread as it's against xda rules
Did this ever come out? Or an alternative OS?

Here i am in March 2018, Samsung did not released Lollipop upgrade for Tab 4 SM-T230NU, and will never do. The latest official firmware from sammobile for this device is 4.4.2.
Alternative rom? Check this link for Acheron Rom 4.4.2 by @g_ding84. Works pretty well: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/rom-stock-t230-nu-acheron-rom-v1-0-2015-t3000107
Good day to everyone.
I've been using FYT 6025 for about a (1) year, but nothing is done.
Can't get Android update. I cannot control anything on the device. I can't even change the interface. I would like all your help and support regarding this matter.
I bought my device from a company called Ava (https://www.arabaniakillandir.com/) in Turkey. I've always had a problem since the day I bought it. This AVA system made my car stupid instead of smarter.
. Please help.
a bit vague there. Are you just looking to upgrade android?
Android updates would have to come from the vendor via firmware upgrades.
Just android upgrade is enough. I looked at https://www.joyingauto.com/blog/ but couldn't find it. I would be very happy if you help.

is this the firmware you're looking for?
I also have this FYT6025 HU however cannot find any information about it. Appreciate if someone can send the link to download firmware for it.
Thanks
The SC8830 and SC7731 are really low-cost units. They might be made by FYT but I do not know any firmwares for it.
The SC7731 should be almost 100% compatible with the sc9853i. I have no idea about the SC8830.
Sorry, above statement is incorrect.

Please check software update notes before posting.
One UI 5 has not yet been released for that model, so is there no "slow update" happening. You are already updated to the newest current version. When a new update is released, I'm sure you'll get it

When I said "please check notes", checking does not mean posting here in the thread every single day. It means use Google or other means to find the information on the internet yourself.
The update will likely not be released until next year
