I got this update from a phone repair service. But samsung touchwhiz sill bothering. Really bad skin and UI; i wonder y it is different between Samsung and Nexus.Nexus look really clean.
You've posted this before but this is explained better.
NO
That's a ROM.
I'm running android l and in the Android Version, it does not say Android L.
It just says "L".
Also build number is different.
Mine is LPV79, yours is words.
Cambodroid.
They just changed the android version themselves. Or who knows you probably did.

sorry am new. So it is not official, will i mess up my lphone?
Its okay. And correct. Its not official, and it won't mess up your phone
I dont know y they install me this. I had them repair my softbrick phone. Maybe they wanna test?
I think they repaired your device by flashing a new firmware. Which in most cases fixs a device.
So which is the real version of android i have here? Is it like a custom rom?
Its not real mate, its fake.

Well, the title basically explains it all. I love Android L, but I can't get it onto any of my devices as CM12 is only available on the popular devices, like the S4 and S5. When will it be ported to the A2? Thanks!

Officially I doubt it, despite Motorola recently been into updating their older phone line-ups. The dual core phones are showing their age. To be honest, the custom CM12 roms for this device would be more beneficial than an official update. I've got it on my LG G2 and it's very good, it'll be interesting to see if the speed improvements translate over to this model of phone as good as it has for this device.

Yeah, custom ROMs would be the way for this device. But yeah, I doubt anyone's gonna port CM12 to this device. It's old already..
Bump.
No android L for me then.

Hi,
I noticed that the S5 specs are wrong on the front homepage. It should say that the latest version of android is 5.0, but it does not say this. I am requesting to get this changed.
Thank you!

I don't think XDA lists the most current specs on the homepage for each device. I believe they list which android version the phone came with when it was first released.

Hey guys
My friend just bought a new Huawei Mate 7 Gold yesterday and I checked the Android version and it says 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. He'd like to update it to Lollipop and since I have been doing such things for years on Samsung and HTC devices I thought I should help him out by checking the forum first. I found a helpful article about updating it to Lollipop OTA, however it is in German and the translation is terrible, so can anyone point me in the right direction?
As I said, the device is brand new and still has 4.4.2 unmodified Kit-Kat on it.
This is the article I am talking about: http://www.huaweiblog.de/huawei/huawei-mate-7-lollipop-update-download/
Thanks guys!
There's a thread dedicated to this in the general section
Thanks for you reply and for pointing me out to the right thread. From what I've read, it seems as though the Lollipop update is quite unstable nowadays and I should hold off till it's official, correct? I don't want my friend to go through a hassle because of it since he is not very tech-savvy.

I have installed lollipop 5.1.1 beta and its quite good but there's still many bugs. Maybe it is better to wait the official release.
I agree. If your friend is not tech savvy, hold first and wait for official release
It's usable as a daily driver, but no, not as stable as 4.4.2.
Generic overview:
-random reboots, not extremely frequent but they happen.
-some memory issues compared to 4.4.2
-a bit less battery
-some options not present
Hi, someone knows when will be release the official version of lollipop? No betas

Nope, and tbh i'm not extremely eager to run lollipop on most phones right now... Google screwed up pretty bad on this major version.

I second that. While material design is nice to look at, the memory leak and battery drain are causing issues in some lollipop phones

This "rom" is absolutely FAKE!
http://www.lollipopupdate.xyz/tag/lg-optimus-l7-ii-p710-lollipop-rom
If it were legit it would have atleast one screenshot of "About Device" page with rom and device info.
Buy a new phone. This device is way underspecced to have Lollipop at all.

So it is Xperia U and it's getting even Marshmallow thanks to @AGONTUK.
Well, almost everyone that has got this phone seems not to have been interested in modding its ROM, that's why it's not getting any Android newer than 4.4.2 KitKat, I guess.
Is you can upload device tree to github I can make cm12,also I have CWM.I broked this phone, but i will still try to make cm12

Sorry For Bad English
Hey everyone,
As stated in the title, I'm a real noob when it comes to rooting/flashing phones. Please bear with me through the stupid questions.
I've started to get sick/bored of my phone running version 4.4.2 with emui 3.0. I bought this phone off Amazon when it came out because I wanted something new. Sammy, LG, etc weren't producing phones I liked.
when the Mate 8 came out with newer software, I wondered what would happen with my phone, and boy did I get some bad news.
I own the MT7-TL10V100R001C00B130 version, which seems to get none of the updates that the Malaysia area phones get.
http://imgur.com/78imLxd
I messaged Huawei Support, and they confirmed the bad news.
http://imgur.com/XtQpgoW
I even tried contacting the UAE support like they suggested, but I haven't gotten a reply back.
I've looked at threads like:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/help/help-please-impossible-to-update-mt7-t3286615
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784
but in the end, they don't help me very much.
I've given up on any hope of my phone being updated OTA, so I've decided to sign up and post here to ask question(s):
1. Is there a firmware I can download/install to update my phone to something newer even if the builds don't match?
2. If I must result to rooting, I'm willing to give it a try, but then I'd like to have Nougat on the phone. Are there stable builds for this yet? or must I wait longer?
Thanks very much for reading and any help you can provide.

Hi,
To answer your questions:
1) You can download B324 Malaysia from https://mega.nz/#!h1JDnQaB!En6LMDE6hbm22m0xFX2fbWZWwoGX2urEXrPRJaFlRxc, unzip it and put UPDATE.app file in SDCARD/dload folder in root of SDCARD. Then try to update it from the Updater in Settings. You will then have lollipop. Back up your apps/settings etc before, just in case.
2) Not necessary to root, but there are lots of posts in the Mate7 forum that can assist if you do want to root. Nobody knows yet if Nougat will be released for the Mate 7 (I'm thinking unlikely, as we already got Lollipop and Marshmallow, and the phone is two years old, but you never know)
thanks for much for the info.
for option #1, is there any other precaution i need to take? do i simply just copy paste into the sd card?
