Cans someone help me out here? I spent an abnormal amount of time figuring out how to do it to no avail.. I flashed CROMI 3.2.1 and then flashed the Data2SD patch in sbdag's thread. I also tried the _that kernel patch he had given.. Again to no avail. I used MiniTool to partition. First partition was FAT32 second was ext4. Both primary. I also set the ext4 partition as active.
For everything all I get is a boot loop.
Thanks in advance.

The issue is Minitool, you need to use Gparted(linux tool) to format your card. MiniTool will never work right and possible brick your card.

Sorry but i asked the person i quoted above. But i am sure the partition type is ext4. If it isn't ext4, u can't install INT2EXT4+ script as it works only with ext4 partition.

You asked this: "How do you know that it converts to ext3? I had this discussion in some thread and they said the same,"
I answered on your question.
When it comes to INT2EXT4 + script, it is logical.
No matter which way did SD Card partition for ext4, I later got ext3.

Both? Neither? One or the other?
Going to reload my TF700, probably with CROMBi-kk to try it out. Looking to optimize web browsing/facebook/gmail etc performance. Currently on CROMi-X 5.4.

Both = very fast
Very Fast would be good!! Format the internal memory as F2FS also, or just the sdcard?

If you use data2sd then internal /data is not used.
You only need to format mmcblk1p2 to f2fs on the card for data2sd.

faster than rom2sd? ive found it to be quick at times, then mighty slow at others. thanks!
if f2fs+data2sd is the faster option, how should i go about getting rid of the sd installation, just take it out and install like normal on the tablet?

I've noticed no difference between data2sd and rom2sd but f2fs allows better use of the tablet when things are downloading in the background for example.

Easiest way is install the latest TWRP 2.7.1.1 which has format options now for both ext4 (takes 90 mins) and f2fs (takes seconds).
You'll obviously lose everything if you format /data as f2fs so have a backup if you want to go back.
If you are using data2sd or rom2sd just remember to use the data2sd1.zip or rom2sd1.zip first to switch TWRP over to your external partitions otherwise you will be formatting internal.

If you use data2sd (or rom2sd for that matter) you are not using the internal data partition for daily operations other than storage maybe. So you can leave it alone.
First step is to backup any data from the rom2sd data partition you want to keep.
Then you have to repartition the card. For data2sd you have to have 2 partitions (not 3 as in rom2sd): one fat32, one ext4 or f2fs. Do that in Gparted and while you're at it, you can format the future data partition to f2fs.
Then flash the rom with the data2sd option and _that v10 kernel.
I would also recommend getting TWRP 2.7.1
gparted?
so do i need to use gparted to partition my sd card or can it all be done with twrp and your crombi rom?

You must use gparted There is no other way.
Thank you. I'm doing my best to read through the last 100 pages of the q&a and the Rom page.

Go to the crombi-kk thread in the dev section and see post 2 - the instructions are there on how to do it
Once you partition it the installer will then do everything else for you

Can you see the contents of your "SD Card" (Internal Storage) in any file manager?
If not, try changing your SELinux policy to "Permissive" - use the app "SELinux Mode Changer" from the Play Store (requires root). This fixed the issue for me.

Thanks for replying.. I flashed the file system back to F2FS and everything is fine now.
Has this same thing happened to you or just something similar? I still would like to be able to flash back to EXT4 if need be.

I found myself unable to access the Internal Storage from any app after clean flashing the 7/12 build, after previously having no issues on the 2/12 build.
This caused the same sort of errors as you got - couldn't save photos, couldn't download languages for Swiftkey etc.

Firstly you need to have a kernel installed which supports f2fs, I think only arters kernel supports it right now. The process involves converting the different partitions from ext4 to f2fs within twrp, so like data and system, if you look at benchmarks f2fs is better than ext4 but I've never done it personally so cannot give too much info, but the above is a quick rundown in what's involved

It is safe to do, but as with all mods there maybe instances where you might get hiccups. Just be aware that you are formatting the partitions so you will lose data, so make sure you do a full back up
