[Q] LG F180L (Optimus G Korean) STUCK - General Questions and Answers

HI devs
I am new here. I am facing a problem maybe I am the only one facing it. I was trying to install a custom rom on my LG F180L . I was using freegee, flashify method to install custom recovery that I successfully installed (Philz recovery or something like that) well it didn't work so never installed the ROM so I changed my recovery to sk8s CWMRTouch 14.4.7 and now I can't mount my sd card, external sdcard neither I can mount usb storage(phone attached to PC while in recovery mode) I cac't copy any ROM files to try Flash them. I tried to go back to stock ROM but after successfully downloading file (>1gb) and using LG R&D tool it didn't work either. When the R&D tool decrypts the kdz file I have a file extract error and all tests fail it says. I can't do anything. I know my device is soft bricked but I want to get it back. I've read several posts on xdas on same issue nothing helped me. Please help me I'll be highly grateful to you guys. Thanks for reading this long thing.
Hope you guys will help me out because that's what you do
Thank you .

[SOLVED]Rom Manager Boot Loop after selecting Backup current rom

Hi.. I installed Rom Manager onto my friends p500,it was rooted earlier.. but it did not have a custom recovery ..so i flashed the latest cmw through the rom manager app.
After which i selected to create a back up.. The mobile restarted (to enter the cmw recovery for backup operation).. but soon after the restart the mobile got stuck at the LG Logo.. I waited for about 10mins and it did not respond. Then i removed the battery and then power it on.. but it is stuck at the LG logo.. I am unable to get into custom recovery.. (power+home+volumeup).
Also, Mobile is not detected when connected to pc.
How to resolve this issue?? Please help
(I am able to get into emergency mode)

Even though the the P500 is "supported" by ROM Manager, ROM manager is extremely wonky with that device. ROM Manager is not the only way to install a recovery and IMHO is the worst way to manage that device. ADB, Fastboot, and FlashImageGUI are much safer alternatives. FlashImageGUI requires the 'flash_image' binary to be installed on the device. I've never seen it on a stock ROM for any device but it is usually included with custom ROMs. 'flash_image' can be extracted from /system/bin of any custom ROM and pushed to the device. FlashImageGUI can be downloaded from Play Store. The other two alternatives are a little more cumbersome, but just as effective.
I have written a Windows front-end for the fastboot executable called Android Flash Recovery. Assuming that your device drivers are correctly installed and the device can be booted in to fastboot mode, Android Flash Recovery can make recovery installation much easier. The link for AFR is in my signature.

[Q] [CWM] Selfbuilt CWM-problems with recovery.img

Hey guys,
Since there arent much recoveries and ROMs available for the ZTE U950 (only a chinese CWM which works fine), ive decided to make my own (english) CWM. Yesterday i finally got the first reasonable result. First i flashed the FakeFlash update.zip to see if it's basically working (this file is 2,1Mb) after the flashing of the update.zip was successful ive decided to write the new recovery.img (Size:6,5MB) in the block. After this i tried to get into recovery mode and the only thing i saw was a white screen, so I googled the problem but found nothing that can solve my problem so i hope that with your help i can fix the problem
P.S.: If anyone is interested i can upload this recovery ,when it works, for other users , if youre interested just write it below
Thanks in advantage,
cmoegele
Could try my guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935162
Gues you have to go to the links about unpacking you're recovery image.. Compair original recovery files with you're build recovery. Check if there are *.ko files missing

[ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S II Plus - GT-I9105P

I've tried multiple tutorials to root my phone but whenever I flash the CWM and restart my phone in recovery mode I still get the default Android recovery screen... What should I do?
If you are using 4.2.2 Use this recovery http://d-h.st/y0b just put it to ODIN on PDA don't extract it. And if you are using 4.1.2 Use k2wl recovery which you can find in this forum this should work.
.
It's working now, but now it says E: Can't mount /sdcard/ .......
Hello, i have same problem and i dont know what iam doing wrong. Btw before i haev rooted many phones and with all was easy, but not with this one. Help me guys. Iam using 4.2.2
Read the forum and use search !!!
When after flashing CWM and restarting your you are getting standard recovery not CWM the when flashing the CWM uncheck Restart in ODIN and let the phone flash the CWM, when it will show succesfull the unplug the phone and restart it, simple as that.
I need a link to root my phone. The above links a dead or virusscanner/firewall go crazy.
Any chance of a working root file for GT-I9105P?

[STABLE][CWM][RECOVERY]Alcatel_OneTouch_Flash_6042D_BY_PIJUSH_SEN

Installing Clockworkmod Recovery on your Alcatel Onetouch Flash 6042D means that you will be able to flash new custom ROMs on it. Without custom recovery you cannot flash new ROMs. Also, it should be installed on rooted devices. Clockworkmod Recovery can also be used to backup your entire ROM.
WARNING: Installing a recovery may brick your phone...Don't Blame Me.. Do at your Own Risk...
Note:- Alcatel OneTouch Flash Recovery Uses a secured boot.img,so a custom recovery will cause boot loop..Please Download and Flash The unsecured boot.img from below link. And flash it with recovery..
You need:
1. A Windows PC
2. CWM recovery (Download)
3. Unsecured Boot.img (Download)
4. SP Flash tools (Download)
5. Driver (Download)
6. Scatter file (Download)
7.Alcatel Onetouch Flash 6042D
Follow these steps to flash custom recovery using sp flash tools:
Step 1: Extract/unzip all downloaded files.
Step 2: Open SP flash tool and load scatter file.
Step 3: Unselect all blocks and select only RECOVERY and BOOT.
Step 4: Click the location column of RECOVERY and BOOT and select downloaded
recovery and boot.
Step 5: Press and Volume Down + Power to Enter in CWM Recovery Mode.

connecting in sp flash & mtk droid tools.
hai there
I have a peculiar problem here. I am not a programmer or some thing like that. But an avid fan of android.
I am not able to get my rooted 6042d detected in SP FT & MTK droid tools to take a back up. My system is Win.XP [SP3]. I even formatted the system twice to remove left overs. Even, I am clue less how to get it done. I installed the drivers provided by you. I think my ignorance of windows is the main hurdle here. Can you please guide me - how to? Sorry for the bother.
I wish to flash the secure CWM made by you and the LP style rom followed by it.
1. spft says 'the application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect....reinstall..'
2.mtk droid tools says 'the device is not revealed.. connect or reconnect...' - on the right side -' in system already available android debug bridge 1.0.26'
thanks
PS: I know how to use both the tools, I did it with my previous device, also of MTK-zte.
Solution of your problem....

SPFT problem solved as you suggested. But the problem with DT persists.
I do not have the stock rom of onetouch flash 6042d. [ my device is wrongly showing idol3!]
I want to have a SPFT back up in Droid Tools to be on safe side with imie etc. [being able to run Droid tools.]
I highly appreciate what ever the hints/advice I need in this regard, if extended.
When your LP themed rom for our device will be out?
