[Q] Is it safe to use VMware Workstation to connect to Zune and update to Mango?

Hello, I'm running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. I found out that Zune Software doesn't run on this OS. Since I am sick of repartitioning, formatting and installing OSes, I don't want to make new partition and install new OS. So it looks like the only way to connect my phone to Zune and update to Mango is to use a VMware Workstation Virtual machine with compatible OS (WinXP 32bit for example).
Is it safe to update to Mango using a VMware Virtual machine?

[Q] How to install Windows Phone SDK 8 on Windows 7?

I have VS2012 on Windows 7, and I don't like Windows 8 because of all the weird features.
Windows Phone SDK 7.1 installs on Win7 but doesn't support VS2012.
Windows Phone SDK 8 supports VS2012 but only installs on Win8.
Is there any workaround for this? Can I somehow make VS2012 support WP SDK 7.1 or install WP SDK 8.0 on Win 7?
*bump
Screw it I installed VS2010...
The Windows Phone SDK provides a stand-alone Visual Studio Express 2012 edition for Windows Phone or works as an add-in to Visual Studio 2012 Professional, Premium or Ultimate editions.

[Q] Which version of windows is easiest to use android sdk on?

I would like to say that I am not a developer or anything. I am having problems using adb commands on my computer (windows 8). It is a problem with drivers and such that the computer doesn't recognize the phone when in recovery. The same setup works on my windows vista desktop. I know many people have problems with drivers working on windows 8 and i was just wondering what version of windows is the easiest to work with?

Click to collapse
Windows 7 is the best option for me. But there is still a problem, the driver never work with the driver for windows phone 8.
