i have stock rooted nexus 5, i get the notification to update it to 5.1, when i update it, halfway through the update, it stops updating, and i have to reboot. after reboot i still get notification to update to 5.1 please help. i rooted it with chainfire.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The ota does not work because you're rooted. You have to be 100% stock system, kernel, and recovery. Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I've found this with someone with the same problem and a solution, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/help/failing-ota-update-unroot-108-t2801833. Since Android 5.x you have to be 100% stock system, recovery, and kernel for the OTA to work.

So a while ago my phone was in the workshop, after that i've noticed that it has a MDF v1.0 release 2 in it as a security software...
The problem is that it wont update to Lollipop 5.0.1 now, I've tried to install it Over The Phone(you know the message you get when it is a new firmware update) at first, but it fails when it comes to the update screen.
I've tried via Kies, and i don't get it. It doesn't work...
Also my phone restarts itself automaticly sometimes...

Can i install the OTA updates in my rooted nexus without doing unroot? I have android 5.1 ruining in my phone and yesterday I got the OTA update for 5.1.1..... Plz do help me and please do tell me the process if possible....

I am using moto g2. I didn't wait for the ota update by motorola and downloaded the update which is 5.0.2 from this site. Now it is time for the new 5.1.1 update to be released so i just wanted to know if i'll get the ota update from motorola? Kindly help.
