5.0.2 Brightness/Volume Slider Disappeared ? - AT&T LG G2

Updated to 5.0.2 yesterday and rooted using G3 one click root. However, I noticed that the brightness / volume slider in the notifications menu has disappeared and the option for it in the notification bar setting is gone as well. I am 100% certain this was there after the first boot last night but it disappeared this morning (before rooting which is the only mod I made to it so far apart from adaway). I was going to bring it back using Xposed but it is still in alpha state for LP so do not want to mess with that. Any ideas on how to bring it back? Everything else seems super stable and smooth apart from this annoyance.

Same happened with me. And I noticed after reading your post.

Yup no sliders in the At&t Lollipop update. I never saw them. I had them on KitKat and once it rebooted and updated 168 apps they were gone. I guess At&t heard all the complaints about the crowded notification panel and removed everything. I'll use exposed once I root and install twrp again. With the KitKat tot, I'm not sure we can really ruin anything, just reflash and start over.

I can also confirm to you that this has nothing to do with the root process itself because the said sliders were not present even before root. I am on Lollipop now on D800. ATT removed it.

After installing gummy Rom my notification bar is not showing up. Is there a setting I am missing?

reboot the phone, I get notification bar force closes occasionally... it'll either restart itself and come back or you'll have to restart the phone
I have rebooted phone a couple times and still does not come back.

using a different launcher by any chance? I know ADW and Go both have options to hide status bar which may be checked by default, also you could look at the Gummy launcher2 options and see if anything's in there
I've been getting this too since I flashed the latest gummy GBE. I'm sure it happens more than I notice. When it doesn't restart itself, I gotta reboot the phone. Also, I'm getting tons of lag. I've flashed twice already, but I think I might give it another go. Anyone have any ideas?

Lots of problems with the latest Gummy GBE. The status bar issue is minor compared to the hot boot issue. My advice is to go back to the RC until they have the problems worked out.

[Q] Music starts playing on phone start up and won't stop... ***W/ VIDEO***

Alright so here's some background info first:
Verizon Galaxy S3, OTA'd to VRBLK3, rooted/unlocked using this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439), phone is pretty much stock other than TWRP recovery and the phone is rooted. I also froze only a few Verizon/Touchwiz apps. I've had the phone only for a few weeks now and rooted/unlocked since the OTA to VRBLK3. I've had zero issues after root.
Now onto the problem at hand:
I went to reboot my phone today after a browser freeze up and noticed a song playing when the phone booted up. It didn't go away... as I was going through App Processes looking for something that stood out as to what and why this song was playing and found nothing. Pulled down the notification bar and it stopped. Questioning what it was I went into ringtones and found out it was playing "Over the Horizon" ringtone... Rebooted again to see if it was just a fluke and again it played the song when the phone started up... This time the pull down of the notification bar didn't stop the music like I had thought. Pulled the battery and turned on the phone again to only hear the music start up again... The notification pull down stopped the music again and I've just left it alone and it hasn't started again.
I'm just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue or if anyone has any insight as to how this happened. Mind you, I've been running my current setup of installed apps/settings for weeks with no issue on reboots. Now I've got a song that plays non stop whenever I reboot my phone... Other than a full wipe and starting all over any suggestions???
Here is a quick video I just made with the issue:
*** Please excuse the desktop/lockscreen wallpapers lol they are SFW btw ***
** Also, if you hear crickets in the background... its my lizards food lol **
* Finally, sorry for sidways view... first time youtuber lol *
Wipe Dalvic and cache in recovery and reboot.
Wiped delvik and cache ... no dice. After the apps optimized the music started right up again... rebooted again just to be sure and it still plays the music

Hmm tried deleting the audio file and it still plays on system start up ... I have no idea where the file is and why it plays

I am having this exact same issue today. It is playing the stock boot up sound but it doesn't stop. I can use the phone fine but this music just keeps playing.
Any luck on solving the issue? I suddenly started to have the same problem.
Me too, on a verizon s5.
Same here. Tmobile s5
For me, it seems to be the battery full notification sound.
I can also confirm that it is linked to the notification volume.

Ok, so I noticed that it started after I updated some xposed framework modules. I uninstalled xposed and rebooted. It's now stopped.
Anyone else?

Sometimes Xposed and Wanam modules don't play well even when they aren't installed together. A lot of times its just a rogue module that interacts with another app or process.

If you go into the thread for gravitybox kk, this issue is actually addressed. They posted an apk that should fix that bug

[Q] Pressing the back button too fast bring back recent apps on 4.4.3

Anyone noticed how when you press the back button to exit and application too fast, the screen for you recent apps also display before you are taken back to the home screen?
This issues started after 4.4.3
Anybody have any solutions?
It's always been a weird KitKat bug, for me it brings up a random app from somewhere in the recents list that's not even been used for a while. Lol

Yes, not a 4.4.3 specific issue sadly. Was hoping this would have been resolved in the latest update but clearly not. D'oh. I'm completely stock everything, unrooted and it's happened since I bought the phone in February.
Ref: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/random-app-pops-button-exit-t2680148
I am completely stock too. I only started noticing it since 4.4.3 - or maybe it was always there.
Its quite irritating. Is google looking at this?
I've seen a dramatic increase since 4.3.3. Doesn't do it all the time but once it starts it seems to keep doing it for a while.
I cleared Cache and Dalvik but didn't make any difference.
Think this happened to me once recently, opened Google Chrome on its own.
Maybe it's not a bug. Returning to a previously used app could be seen as a convenience. Just a thought.

I've never experienced this issue. Why not just press the home button to exit the app?

Lol. No it returns to any random app ib the recents list, not the last opened

I can confirm this starting from 4.4.3. It's quite simple to reproduce it for me:
Open Chrome and press the home button.
Open WhatsApp and enter a conversation. Press the back button two times quickly.
This should bring you back to your home screen. Instead it immediately will pop up Chrome for a moment, just to close it automatically afterwards. I press the back button two times in a lot of apps, so this is starting to be really annoying. I'm running everything stock. Has anyone experiencing the issue tried to hard-reset the phone to see if it goes away?
I used to face this on stock rom as well... Ever since I've started using a custom rom (AICP) , the bug has disappeared.

I can confirm it only started coming up since 4.4.3. It did not happen on 4.4.2.
I'm using stock Nexus 5, with Nova launcher.

I've tested it myself and I can confirm that a factory reset does not solve this issue.
Confirm, but true only for stock 4.4.3. Fast pressing back button to exit an app will cause opening last active app (f.e. open dialer with messaging app in background, twice-triple tap back and it will close dialer but bring messaging app right from home screen and close it (wut?)). Running custom and there is no such bug.

AOSP Lockscreen randomly appeared?

Alright so, I haven't the slightest clue what caused this problem. I just happened to have rebooted my phone into bootloader mode as a way to ensure something I did didn't get transmitted when I re-enabled my Wifi which I happened to have disabled before rebooting and then re-enabled afterwards.
Anyways after I press reboot from the HBOOT menu, when my phone booted up the motion gestures would not work and I had an AOSP lockscreen...(take note im running ViperROM 1.8.0 on 4.4.3 firmware) oddly enough this isn't even enabled in the Viper Tweaks or any other tweaking apps I have. Soo why do I all of a sudden have these? It's as if I'm on an AOSP ROM but with Sense and a non Sense kernel? Even though NOTHING has changed today?? I haven't even been on my phone hardly at all besides that...
Why and how would I fix it?
Edit: Ok the tap to wake and swipe to wake actually work but double tap to turn screen back off is blocked because of the way the AOSP lockscreen functions. Swipe to shut screen off still works too. I just can't figure out how to remove this lockscreen

The thing is..I already have that for some odd reason? It's right here and I never had this before either, it just randomly appeared and wanted me to update it a few days back. Strangely enough it was right after I downgraded back from 2.4.0 Viper ROM to 1.8.0 with a Nandroid. Should I just restore the Nandroid again*? it's literally exactly the same as this, I was gonna do it last night but it was far too late and I was tired.

Try uninstalling that app via titabackup then go to play store an redownload it an reboot. If that don't work yeah I would definitely restore back up. But this solved my issue an it sounds like same as yours. Crazy tho huh?

I did just what I told you to do an it came back an stayed. You would think if it worked for me it work for you u know. Hope your backup is alright. I like the fact HTC is dropping apps in play store so the don't have to wait on carrier to push ota to update a few things. But they should male sure it works rt..if you read all the reviews in playsotre bout this app. Not good at all some stock an locked users r in a bootloop from this updating an their only choice was factory reset. Not good

Well I figured out the problem. When I restored it it was indeed solved or so I thought but I noticed the update was still available in the Play Store so I decided to back the original HTC LS in Titanium Backup and update to it. After having updated and rebooting I ended up with the AOSP lockscreen again, restoring the app in Titanium and rebooting again resulted in getting the original back.
Perhaps they intended this? Maybe it's their new lockscreen just with some faults, one being double tap to sleep doesn't work?

T-Mobile minutes notification display

My phone is a nexus 5 running stock 4.4.4. with a T-Mobile simcard. I also have the T-Mobile app installed.
It used to be that when I dragged down the phone's status bar, among the notifications was a convenient display that showed how many minutes I used and the renewal date.
For some reason this notification has now disappeared and I can find no setting in the app to change to bring it back. Anyone know what to do. Is it from a recent app update? Is there a way to restore that display?
Thanks.
SOLVED
It's a bug in the latest version of the T-Mobile app. I installed a backup of the previous version of the app, and things are back to normal.
