Hello everybody, Why if I set the wallpaper that takes random pictures by the gallery native, the display set me crop of the picture and not the whole image?

flip up with finger from bottom while in lock screen and u can pause it ..

No, I mean the wallpaper not lockscreen.. If you set the wallpaper with random pics taken from the native folder (folder with green leaf and sea wave, sax, desert...) the pic on wallpaper become cropped and zoomed grainy, in short, bad!

You know when you choosing wallpaper for home screen it will give you option fixable or scrollable .. and if u choose scrollable u can adjust your picture..
Try play with that..

Thank you Simona, but the problem still remain, I think is the randomic presentation of the pics..

Hi. I have the same issue. It's from the EMUI firmware and unfortunately you can't fix it. We should send them a message to fix this problem.
But until then I found an solution. I tried many wallpaper changing apps and all beside one, have the same problem because of the settings from the EMUI - shows crop & zoomed images.
So the only app that I found and it's working corectly is SB Wallpaper Changer

It has a lot of cool settings that you can play with. Try it to see if it's working for you also.

Am I the only one who wants to turn off the screen scrolling and go back to the wallpaper that moves?
The scrolling wheel is annoying as hell and pretty dam pointless. HTC must have thought this one through really hard.....

Press personalize button (bottom right of home screen) then wallpaper then live wallpapers then streak. Or install a different launcher.
How can it be done?
Currently my problem is this cropping thing. I have downloaded 1280x800 resolution picture which looks great when I just open up the picture itself. But if I try to set it as a wallpaper, this cropping thing will popup. Even if I stretch it as big as it goes its still just a small part of the picture which will be streched to a full screen that looks awful.
Any help will be appreciated!
Use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. I wish they would fix this problem it is really really annoying.

im having a problem with my home wallpaper (lockscreen is fine) for some time.
No matter which app I use or which resolution i choose my home wallpapers look very pixeled.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace for which the resolution 320x480 should be perfect but if you take a look at the attachements you'll see how it ends after I set the picture as wallpaper.
Yes i've tried many apps and different resolutions and different launchers..nothing works for me..
I hope you have an idea how to fix it :-/.
oh and btw. this only happens when im choose to NOT have a scrollable picture.

This will come off as a total noob question, but how do you set a specific wallpaper?
I mean instead of a vertical rectangle crop box, I am getting a square crop box. On Gingerbread, I used to get the vertical rectangle crop box but sometime after, I keep getting the square crop box. At first I thought it was ADW Launcher's fault that keeps giving me the square crop box, uninstalled it and still didnt return to the vertical crop box..

That is just the way it is after GB.
if you have problem in crop then download set wallpaper app.there is an option for that

Thanks for both your time for the replies.
Although the set wallpaper app did not allow me to set my wallpaper vertically, the search led me to the app Wallpaper Wizardrii and that worked.

I could finally create a fantastic wallpaper using Tapet with vignette effect... so I used the app to set it as background... and it looks as great... I saved to the Gallery to set as lock screen wallpaper and in the gallery it looks as great... I set it as lock screen wallpaper and the ugly circles of image compression appear on the wallpaper... it doesnt appear with I use Tapet to set the wallpaper... only appears when I use the system to set the wallpaper... does anyone know if this can be fixed?

Since when I got the S6 I noticed this problem !
First time you set the picture there is no problem and the image is fine. At this point the system saves a copy in your history of wallpapers, If you set your wallpaper using this history the quality will get very bad.
Instead you should try re-selecting and re-cropping the picture even if the picture is already there start all over...
