How can it be done?
Currently my problem is this cropping thing. I have downloaded 1280x800 resolution picture which looks great when I just open up the picture itself. But if I try to set it as a wallpaper, this cropping thing will popup. Even if I stretch it as big as it goes its still just a small part of the picture which will be streched to a full screen that looks awful.
Any help will be appreciated!
Use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. I wish they would fix this problem it is really really annoying.

So, I'm not very happy with the wallpaper options in this phone. I understand that, it's more of HTC Sense setting, but it doesn't let me choose home or lock screen. Plus, when I choose a picture from my gallery to use as a wallpaper, the weird crop square shows up and doesn't let me use the whole picture. What's up with that? Am I missing something? What do other people think?
The wall paper is ok but, I went to the market and downloaded city at night wallpaper and its a lot better for my tastes.

You should use 960x800 sized wallpapers. You can't select the whole picture because your iPhone wallpapers or whatever are the wrong aspect. There are some good downloadable wallpapers in the HTC Hub and there are a million wallpaper apps in the market.
Your wallpaper is scrolling as you swipe left and right to different screens, that's why it's square. I just use 1920X1080 wallpapers and they look fine.
I have been using zedge to get my wallpapers for some time, every now and then I find a really nice wallpaper and when I install it it gets zoomed in as if it's the resolution is to big and the wallpaper gets cut off. Is there any way to make the wallpaper fit entirely on the screen? I have tried to resize the wallpaper with no luck, I am also using nova launcher even though that probably doesn't make a difference.

Supposedly, Wallpapyrus will keep the resolution of your images intact.
Install the app called 'Wallpaper Setter' to solve the issue.
I tried both, and they do keep the resolution intact without croping for the home screen wallpaper but not the lock screen.

flip up with finger from bottom while in lock screen and u can pause it ..

No, I mean the wallpaper not lockscreen.. If you set the wallpaper with random pics taken from the native folder (folder with green leaf and sea wave, sax, desert...) the pic on wallpaper become cropped and zoomed grainy, in short, bad!

You know when you choosing wallpaper for home screen it will give you option fixable or scrollable .. and if u choose scrollable u can adjust your picture..
Try play with that..

Hi. I have the same issue. It's from the EMUI firmware and unfortunately you can't fix it. We should send them a message to fix this problem.
But until then I found an solution. I tried many wallpaper changing apps and all beside one, have the same problem because of the settings from the EMUI - shows crop & zoomed images.
So the only app that I found and it's working corectly is SB Wallpaper Changer

It has a lot of cool settings that you can play with. Try it to see if it's working for you also.

First of all, I've tried applying a 1920x1080 wallpaper, a 4k wallpaper, and a 1440x2560 wallpaper. I've also looked on XDA and other websites and have NOT found a fix.
so, I'm using a 3rd party launcher (any has this issue) and whenever I apply a wallpaper, it zooms in the wallpaper and moves to the right. The only fix I've found so far is to have 3 pages and wallpaper scrolling on, but I want to have 1 page with wallpaper scrolling off.
Can anyone help me? My sister is also having this issue. I'm running OF1 (so is my sister) and don't think I have any OTAs. I'm also non-rooted.
I could finally create a fantastic wallpaper using Tapet with vignette effect... so I used the app to set it as background... and it looks as great... I saved to the Gallery to set as lock screen wallpaper and in the gallery it looks as great... I set it as lock screen wallpaper and the ugly circles of image compression appear on the wallpaper... it doesnt appear with I use Tapet to set the wallpaper... only appears when I use the system to set the wallpaper... does anyone know if this can be fixed?

Since when I got the S6 I noticed this problem !
First time you set the picture there is no problem and the image is fine. At this point the system saves a copy in your history of wallpapers, If you set your wallpaper using this history the quality will get very bad.
Instead you should try re-selecting and re-cropping the picture even if the picture is already there start all over...
