[Completed] [Q] Is there any way to find from which app the threat is coming from…? - XDA Assist

Hey guys,
I have an issue with my Xperia Z2 some months now and nothing that Xperia’s Care employee told me helped.
Issue: The device doesn’t ask me for the PIN code, something that should does, since I haven’t disable it. As a result I don’t have any signal.
(I have already try to change the SIM but nothing changed.)
(I have already repair my software by PC Companion, something that works, but when I restore my Back-up the same story begins.)
Is there any way to find from which app the threat is coming from…?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You could try using some anti-virus apps from the play store. But it's probably best to just flash the factory firmware and start over, don't restore your backup. For help see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934

[Q] general (?) problem with device

Hello Guys!
This weekend i had the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 of a friend cause he wanted me to try to simunlock his device.
In order to do that i had to flash a other modem version and since I had i there aldready, i flashed some custom roms to satisfy myself (I myself have a company (I)Phone and since then i hadn't used an android phone).
And here's the problem... the wifi didn't work (when i tried to activate it, it just said: activating wifi, please wait...). when I wanted to play a song it said: EQ could not be found. please close other music players(non installed) or restart phone (didn´t help). And when I wanted to switch from photos to videos in the camera app, it just threw out an error message (can't remember what it said). Maybe there were more errors but this are the ones I found in the short testing time.
Yesterday evening I somehow managed to fix it (still don't know how or why). But now I am curious about what happened.
Factory resets and stock rom didn't help. I restored the phone to stock as much as possible, but I think that this wasn't the solution.
Anybody here encountered the same problem(s) and can tell me what the reason was? I searched the forums and google (maybe wrong?) and couldn't find the reason.
I hope someone can tell me =)
thanks
Edit: Sorry, didn't read all stickies =/ (about no questions in general)
Hmmmmmmm Download orginal stock from sammobile an flash it but dont start the phone. Go to recovery and make a superwipe. try.

The problem might be related to modem.
It is reponsible for the wifi and you mobile network.
And when u flashed some else it breaked that function. ..
And after flashing the Stock one Your might have fixed the problem.
This is how I interpreted the problem.
Might be the Reason. ..

[Q] Software Issue, Help?

Hey fellow xda members! I've had my oneplus for probably a couple of weeks now and have loved it until this issue I'm having since the 4.4.4 update. So, it all started after the update the phone rebooted and I kept getting messages saying unfortunately cm logger has stopped. Same with the calender app which now force closes every time I go to open it. Upon the issues surfacing first thing I try is to uninstall and reinstall updates on the apps for the calendar which didn't resolve this issue so currently I just have it disabled. After that I decided well if I have to I will just do a factory reset. To my surprise I actually am unable to do a factory reset and just says it fails part way in. Hopefully some people around the forum with more cyanogen knowledge than myself can help me out! Ticket is already submitted to customer support but just want to attempt asking here as well in case it is something anyone can help me with. Feel free to leave suggestions to try I am willing to do anything to help it. Thanks a lot!
I found some information over at the OPO forum but no for sure answers. One idea was to unlock the bootloader because it causes an automatic reset since I can not do one from CM Recovery. Anyone feel free to comment on if this would work.
Sincerely,
Jackson
P.S. I am still pretty new to the whole modding of android devices and may not know common practices known by most people on the forum so feel free to add a little more description with a potential fix)

Unlock the bootloader, this will reset the phone like its new again
This will also make things easy if you ever decide to root, and you can also flash twrp recovery
One thing to note, this is important, your SD storage will also be erased, so move any data from it to a PC or Google drive etc.
Bootloader unlock is your best bet, this will help your situation in more ways than one.
There's plenty of guides in one plus forum.

[Completed] Binary backup to device of same type?

Is it possible to backup an android device (in my case gs4 variant) entirely as in system as binary.img file?
I'll explain more about what I mean by binary backup as follow up.
I have gs4, dropped it several times (I'm clumsy) now finally digitalizer and screen is completely dead. It used to be rooted and have CWM recovery.
I have another gs4 I got from my brother as he got new phone and we used same carrier both are sgh-i337m (should be internally same as i9505)
Now I want to keep all the settings and apps files etc. (Litterally everything)
Reason is because I don't like changes unless absolutly neccessary. (Heck I'm still using rotary as home phone)
So, only way (without costing me money) I can find possible was binary backup. Dump everything from the eMMC of my old phone to the other one.
Is this possible in anyway? If I use ADB or someway? By the way old one is completely blacked out and not recognizing any touch input.
I googled and searched for such information in XDA couldn't find one myself.
Please help. Thanks in advance

[Completed] How to fix the phone that can't login coz its system attributes has been changed?

Hi Everyone,
I have a phone, the Huawei Ascend P7 -L10.
Some weeks earlier I tried to install Spotify in my phone, but I didn't manage to install it. After several attempts I end up crocking my phone.
It happened when I found some app that had apparent solution to solve Spotify installation problem. I don't remember the name of the app. Anyway, I found it effective so I tried to follow the instructions given. I made it, then the changes were effective. What the app does is to change the phone model and respective carrier.
All the dilemmas started when I decided to restart the phone.
Here goes what I've done so far after the incident.
1. I tried by myself to restore/upgrade the system. I've experience doing this.
2. I took the phone to the 1st Repair Agency - they did not fix it
3. I took to the 2nd Repair Agency - the same thing, they fail to fix it
Note: When you try to restore the phone it gives the following information “update failed!"
and when you normally try to switch the phone on it stop on black screen and nothing else, I've also tried wipe cache, wipe data everything but nothing. Please help!!

Phone Locked with Pattern... Forgot the Pattern.

Hello!
Well, I changed my pattern today. It was so complicated that I ended up forgetting how it was.
So, the thing is, I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find a solution to this. I am very upset because itlooks like doing a Hard Reset is more complicated than it should. Samsung phones you just need to press some keys and that's it. You have your recovery mode all set and ready to factory reset. But Sony? Of course not. I couldn't find any simple solution. I saw stuff like, unlocking the bootloader, this and that, but guess what? I don't have the USB Debbugging ON. All the tutorials I read said that I should have. And I'm not that expert on Android stuff either.
I'm sorry for dragging this too much, but this is such a nuisance. It shouldn't be this hard to factory reset my phone.
I hope someone out there can help me. I just want to reset my phone. I don't want special roms or anything. Just my phone bacon.
I'm sorry for my English.
Thank you for your time!
Edit: Forgot to tell which version my phone is.
Sony Xperia Z5 Dual (E6683)
Marshmallow (fully updated)
You can use flashtool/xperifirm to download and flash a new firmware (remember to wipe userdata and all other partitions)
Once this is done your phone should act as if new
Sent from my E6653 using XDA-Developers mobile app
or u can use sony companion to repair ur device .
it will reset ur phone
I m sorry but you mentioned it like what Sony is doing wrong or either worse than what Samsung's solution is.
What if you are thief and trying to open up a phone that you have stolen.
What if you are a psycho who are trying to force control your little girl/wife's life by spying on her phone
Or maybe it is your phone that got stolen, would you want it to be accessed that easy by anyone?
It is good that, a secured phone stays secured irreversibly nowadays..
Can't you recover it by using your Google account login?

You can enter fastboot and clear cache and userdata... If You wasn't fix problem, please be free to let Us know if problem is there. Cheers
just recover it with google account simple as that, to do so just spam wrong pattern for 5-6 times and it will show you how to recover it.
The Fastboot didn't work. The phone is not rooted or have any recovery.
What I did to fix my problem was Flashing it with a software called XperFirm. It just installed a new firmware and that's it! Thanks!
