Anyone know where to find old nightlies? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been running CM12 for a while now, but today it just crashed and wouldn't boot. Sadly, all the nightlies available to download won't install due to my boot loader which I'm not currently willing or able to update, so I was wondering if anyone knew where to find old nightlies, or more specifically where the XT1032 2015 0314 ROM is (which Is the last one I understand which has neither the boot loader issues nor the annoying screen updating). Im not really too fussed about the newer, small improvements and will probably only update when there is an easy and (mostly) risk free way of updating the boot loader anyway, I just want a version of CM12 with features like the theme manager and custom notification bar icons which arnt available on the version i currently am forced to run.
Thanks in advance

The only places I know:
1. goo.im/devs/CM
2. oss.reflected.net/jenkins (you have to know the build sequence number for the specific nightly)
Updating the bootloader isn't hard - there are actually recovery-flashable zips that will do the trick. These are model-specific (e.g. XT1032's can be only used on XT1032), so you should search with your model number. If you have 1031 or 1033 I'll send you the files directly.
Also, there's a way of flashing these new nightlies on old BL which involves modifying updater-script, but even though you can flash it, the screen flicker problem will be there.
What solution you will take is totally up to you.

I had a look and didn't find anything, but thanks anyway! And thank you for the offers if the zips however I have an XT1032. I managed to find a stock motorola rom and am in the process of updating it it 5.0.2 via the official motorola update, would this also update the boot loader able to run the newest CM 12 updates?
EDIT: I can't actually install the update, it reboots into TWRP (2.8.5.0), skips the installation, and then when booted again it restarts and does the same? Does this mean I have to manually install the update, and if so where would i find this?

You can't install a stock ROM via twrp you will need the fastboot method or the moto flasher.. Below is a link to the moto flasher..

First of all applying a stock rom update requires already installed old firmware
And second it is possible only with a stock recovery
Don't you people read even the basics

Too rude, dude... Yes indeed that the links to the older nightlies are there, but if you click on one of them you'll get a "404 Not Found", and that's why we're talking about this.
Everyone has a time of noobishness. Turning new people away from the forum? I don't think you deserve the thanks.
@LSPandaaa Try using MotoFlasher to flash an official OS in the meantime (guides are abundant), but if you're stuck, I'll try finding the files for you and putting together a flashable zip. I've seen many people wanting it from me anyway, just that I'm lazy because I own a XT1031...

First of all I wasn't being rude its just that people here ask things that are already told many times before( like for example some are still asking if cm supports dual Sim) and still help them if I know about it and second I didn't know that CM link gave an error so he should have mentioned it
And for flashing stock firmware there are literally a lot of guides with link to the firmware and standard set of fastboot command
People should Google things first and then they can obviously ask

True. But see, people flashing *custom* ROMs rarely expect that they have to flash a *stock* ROM first in order for it to function as planned. Anyway, let's just tell similar people to go to General section for guides and alike, because (damn) Google isn't really doing me justice recently...

A direct (but time-consuming) way to upgrade his bootloader to 5.0's. Isn't this the whole reason why he's looking for an older nightly?
If I had the bootloader files for XT1032 I would've directly handed him the flashable zip though... Even faster than fastboot.

Great then. Here's my flashable zip for XT1033 that should do the same thing: http://d-h.st/rI1n
Keep in mind: the original creator of the package is not me - I only modified it to put in files specific to XT1033 and prevent flashing a few suspicious partitions. Because I manually updated mine using fastboot, I can't test out the package personally, but responses from my Chinese community is fairly positive. Be careful as anyone proceeds with this.

Thanks for the help, I ditched the plan of reverting to stock after finding a guide for flashing an updated boot loader with OS X, I only wish CM kept old nightlies for longer or at least remove links for ones they have taken down. If this thread has taught me anything though, it's to keep backups!

[CM ROM [hlte/universal] OFFICIAL CyanogenMod Builds (Nightlies)

New thread for CyanogenMod builds (currently nightlies) for hlte devices. Previously, Note 3 (qualcomm devices) builds were separate, but now they are unified. So, hltespr, hltetmo, hltevzw, htlexx are now all in one build: hlte.
Download page can be found here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hlte.
FAQs (please read before asking any questions):
AlecRobertson said:
Does this build work on the 4.4 bootloader? Yes! It works on the 4.4.2 NA6/NA7/NB3 bootloaders.
Is this build stable? No. There will be issues (see known issues below)
Where can I get the latest recovery that is compatible with this ROM? http://d-h.st/users/xiaolu/?fld_id=31963. You can also use the latest version of TWRP.
Can I update OTA from an hltexx, etc. build to an hlte build? No.
Is there any advantage to upgrading to the 4.4 bootloader? No, not really, unless you call not being able to downgrade an advantage .
Can I downgrade from a 4.4 bootloader to a 4.3 bootloader. No (you can thank Samsung for that)! The only exception to this is if you have a Canadian variant of the Note 3. Then, you can downgrade
Can I install this on an Eyxnos device? No!
Which GApps should I use? I would recommend the Paranoid Android GApps. You can them from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942. If you want the Nexus experience, get the GOOGLE STOCK PACKAGE.

Cannot set a preferred network type (com.android.phone crashes), unless using English (United States) as the system language.
Setting provider settings causes com.android.phone to crash, unless using English (United States) as the system language.
Sensors (e.g. humidity and temperature) stop working after the phone goes into a deep sleep (for some minutes)
Time settings are lost after every reboot.
MNVO network names are not shown correctly, e.g. Virgin is shown as Orange or T-Mobile UK,
Sometimes, after using the phone for a continued length of time, the screen becomes multi-coloured and the only fix is to reboot.

I know, today's changelog is not very useful. But "Tomorrow is another day"
Seems like date and time doesn't work on the 18/02/14 build except when synced with carrier, but it will lose the time data again after reboot.
Success on Rogers SM-N900W8 ...
Well, I took the plunge … once again … with surprising success.
Installation was quite simple on my Rogers (Canadian) SM-N900W8, so I would imagine that all Canadian variants will provide similar results.
Prior to installing the 20140218 unified (hlte) version of CM, I had stock Touchwiz installed, with TWRP 2.6.3.7 as my recovery.
I first performed a Nandroid (always suggested), and then simply flashed both CM and GAPPS through TWRP. Yes, you read the previous sentence correctly. I flashed right from my existing TWRP recovery.
Prior to flashing, I wiped System, Data, Dalvik and Cache, which I did twice (moderate OCD here); however, I did NOT touch Internal Storage.
So far, so good. The device booted very quickly, much more quickly than usual. I then entered all the initial set-up information, and arrived, quite smoothly, at the initial home screen. I then went into Settings and set-up virtually everything.
As I said above, so far, so good. Wifi works very well. LTE works, although, I had to manually go into the APN settings and select the pre-configured Rogers LTE APN. It took a few minutes, but LTE finally popped-up on the Notification Bar.
So, that's it. I'm now installing all my apps. I'll let you know how everything goes once they are all installed (about 100).
Good luck everyone.

Hey op just some advice. The main user page should be in general section for everyday talk of the builds.
The dev section should be problem solving and log cats.
Are you the maintainer as per cm or just another user making another thread here??

Can anybody tell me if this build will appear as an update to those of us already running CM11 for hltexx? Currently no Stable or Nightly update is showing since the 20140130-NIGHTLY-hltexx build.

Thanks. The blog post earlier (http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/unified-builds) mentioned they would add server-side checks to present the unified build via CM Updater, but I wasn't sure if that really meant upgrading from hltexx to hlte unified builds.

The KK bootloader doesn't offer any benefit/new feature over the JB one, SS just changed it to give us a hard time with custom ROMs and prevent us from downgrading. All the bootloader does is to allow the device to... boot (!)
I like this new version, I haven't gotten the black screen of death yet, and things seem to run smoother (probably placebo), and the battery seems better

lolipop rom for cdma verizon moto g 8gb?

anyone know one that works or maybe they like? Im having a hard time finding any rom at all.
uh I found some cm12 that kind of works. no text/calling/data but everything else works. I was only using it as a remote control so I guess thats fine. although It doesnt seem to be rooted. anyone know how I could root it?
EDIT: ah nevermind I found the file to root it.
Please provide links for the rom(s) your speaking of, along with screenshots of (root) file, also are you on an unlocked boot loader? As of this writing there isn't a known rooted CDMA verizon Moto G...
my bootloader is unlocked and I think its probably a gsm rom because in my last post remember I said texting/calling/data Doesn't work. also the file that rooted the rom im using is UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.37 and the rom was..meh i dunno. some nightly verision of cm12 thats stable enough to use hangouts and yatse. I was using that cdma test rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-t3036120 but i wasnt sure about it because some weird things on a post somewhere in there. Also I wasnt really looking for a rooted rom. I was looking for any rom. the person who sold me the phone wiped the os an left it with nothing on it. would you happen to know a stock verizon/boostmobile rom for it?
You don't have to flash anything to get root on CM12 - turn on Developer Options and go in there to enable built-in root access.
And isn't there already a CM12 build specifically for the XT1028(VZW)/1031(Boost) right in the Dev subforums? If you're unlocked then I think these should work for you.
FYI, I personally use a SIM-modded XT1031 so can't be of that much help.

Settings - About phone - click Build number 7 times - press Back - you can see Developer options. Get in there and an option for enabling root is right there.
XT1028 and XT1031, like many CDMA phones, don't natively have SIM slots (SIM info written onto chips), but here in China, many such phones are hardware modified to remove the chips and solder the SIM slot so that we can directly insert a local SIM card. These are sold online at a bargain which makes them a hot choice.

Physically soldering a SIM slot, or even 2 slots (because the phone's body has 2 reserved slots). Yes, both slots are (only) CDMA capable - I use it on China Telecom for tethering.
Similar mods can also be done on the 1028, but because of the locked bootloader, if you do sth to the system that messed up the signal, it's nearly impossible to recover. Hence the preference for 1031.

is there really no way to downgrade bootloader ?? even with "fastboot flash motoboot bootloader" ??
Can I restore my phone to full stock if I upgrade ? (the problem is that I don't know where to find lollipop really stock ROM, but I have kitkat)
You cannot downgrade the bootloader from 41.18.
If you don't want the flickering, you will need to install a stock lollipop ROM with stock recovery.
Same problem here, this new bootloader sux.
There must be a way do change it or? I mean like some hard bricker program or something than overwrites the new bootloader..
I've never seen a post from an XDA member that was able to downgrade the bootloader.
Can be, after using bricker tool i killed my phone xD cant unblick it cuz no files released so dont try that ._.
Damn, I was hoping I could downgrade too.
Installed .18 and a Lolipop rom, but I`ve tried pretty much all of them and they simply aren`t as quick as the KK ones on my phone. I was hoping I could downgrade
Can this bootloader cause calls to drop out ? I`ve had it keep cutting out on 3 different calls this morning.

Verizon Bootloader - Unlock after One Year? Update?

Good morning,
I have an XT1028 running on Verizon Prepaid; I've had it on continuous service for over a year now through VZW. Prior to updating it past 4.4.2, I unlocked my bootloader via SunShine and recently updated to the CDMA build of CM12.1 by Meticulus.
I'd love the option to take advantage of some Lollipop-based kernels like Attacked, but they appear to require the Lollipop bootloader to function correctly. Is it possible for me to update my bootloader and retain my unlock for an XT1028? Or, alternatively, given that my phone has been on VZW for a year, if my phone were re-locked by a bootloader update, has anyone had any luck or experience receiving a bootloader unlock directly through Verizon? I've heard anecdotes of Verizon's policy of unlocking after six months or one year, but never actually found anything where XT1028 users have successfully done this.
Thanks!
From what I've heard and experienced, upgrading bootloader will not relock it in the process - held true for my own RAZR M. The problem is whether you have the 5.0 bootloader files / OTA at hand...

Thanks for the quick reply. As far as I am aware, there is a flashable zip to update a CDMA bootloader to lollipop 41.19, although it is designed for Boost so it requires reflashing the radio to get it to work for Verizon. I may give it a shot after a bit more research, as the only thing left before I'm fully satisfied with 5.1 is potentially a more battery-efficient kernel.

I have the flashable zip and have the 5.0 BL on my own Boost G. It's hard to say whether the Boost one is compatible with Verizon's, because the BL upgrade process touches 5 partitions, and there is a possibility that one of them may be different between the 2 variants.
You should give it a shot. I have no desktop or I would

I've heard of people using the Brazil ota on the Asia retail. I'm really curious whether or not the boost its will work on Verizon. I don't care about the radio, I use it for WiFi. I hear they are the same exact phones tho. Let us know if you the

I went ahead and upgraded my bootloader to 41.19 using an updated flashable zip from SuperR here: http://androidforums.com/threads/cdma-get-ready-for-otas.897474/page-21
It is derived from a Boost update and changes the partitions without overwriting the existing radio, so I got the LP bootloader and retained my 4.4.4 VZW radio. Worked perfectly for me!
Thanks for the response but...

Even if it works for him it might not work for you since the stock recovery has a much harsher signature verification.

I'm wondering what the downside, other than the obvious(creating a paperweight), would be on flashing the Boost software on a XT1028 on 4.4.4. Would it just fail and remain the same, or if not could one back out by flashing the Verizon 4.4.4 firmware.
http://androidforums.com/threads/cdma-get-ready-for-otas.897474/page-21
I have a spare XT1028 and I'm tempted.

Like Andy says, signature verification on stock recovery is a lot tighter, so I'm inclined to guess that it would fail out of the gate.

That'd be my guess as well, I'm just trying to ascertain the probability of creating a paperweight(a nice one though). If it fails on the outset, the probability is low.
Bout to be in the same boat

I'm using them as mini-tablets(WiFi only, so the radio is not important), I got 2 of them at Best Buy for $40 each. One is in the kitchen and is a home automation switch/ip camera. I've not deployed the 2nd one, so I could try it on that one.

Thanks, I've been reading the thread over at Android Forums. It's downloaded and copied to the phone, but not installed.
Did you put it on the root of your SD. You need stock recovery

No, I just copied it over to the phone. I've been re-reading the Android Forums thread to make sure I'm not missing anything. These phones are my first non-Samsung devices(I don't count the ol' Vizio), and the Moto world's a bit different. I want to reduce the chance of making any unforced errors.
I understand ....better safe than sorry

It's an ota so I'm sure you put it on the root of your SD card go to stock recovery and hit install update and from my understanding it will just turn your phone into a boost Mobile. I won't be able to try for another week or two unless you can confirm. I know for sure they pit the Brazil ota on the Asia one with stock recovery.

What's holding me back right how is determining if there's a pathway back in case something goes badly. I see three outcomes(ordered good to bad): everything works and I'm on Boost mobile, it refuses to do anything, and it messes up. I want to be prepared for the last possibility. I seen horror stories about downgrading, and I want to minimize that possibility.
Added the Moto G into my sig. Hey, Mowned, no wearbles?

And... It's option 2. It fails on verifying the package and aborts. No harm, no foul. So we wait for a few weeks/months(I've heard as late as August) for Verizon to come out with their OTA.

[Q] XT1031 updated bootloader? (Boost Mobile edition)

I have the Moto G XT1031 and I have not found a way to update the bootloader. Can anyone direct me to the official XT1031 Lollipop stock rom which has the bootloader update, or a flashable zip I can use to update my bootloader? Thanks.
Don't do it. Just wait for lollipop.

I suppose that's the only choice I have. Since Xposed isn't working on my 5.1 rom I might as well downgrade to 4.4.4, and I have the screen flickers anyway
I have the bootloader flashable zip, and there is a tool in the dev subforum that upgrades bootloader for many variants of G.
However, you do have to consider the fact that once you upgrade there's no way back, i.e. 4.4 ROMs will also flicker under 5.0 BL. There's also the potential threat of permanent bricking if you downgrade to official 4.4 and take OTAs.
I personally only use CM, so whatever gets the latest CM working will do for me, but as for you... think about it.
