[Q] TF101 Can't connect to Win 7 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, title says it all really, I can't connect my tf101 to Windows 7, the PC beeps when I plug it in and that's it, no dialog saying usb device found or anything, I've Googled for hours and tried installing Asus official drivers as well as the recommended Naked ones but zilch works, adb doesn't list any devices and I'm at a loss as to what to try next - any help much appreciated

Would love a response on this as well...
Received the TF-101 as a gift yesterday and wanted to root it using OneClickRecoverV0.4.2 (run as admin) on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Device isn't showing up in "adb devices"
After researching extensively, I have tried:
- Naked drivers
- ASUS sync
- Latest SDK
I can confirm that the device is successfully entering APX mode by looking at the Safely Eject/Remove hardware taskbar, although I only see it in Device Manager when the TF-101 is fully booted up (non-APX mode). USB Debugging is checked off as well. I'm full charged and I've tried multiple USB ports.
What am I missing here? This is frustrating!

ADB won't find the device... can't root. Going insane.

I installed the Samsung USB drivers on my Win 7 64-bit laptop. I have ADB installed, and have used it for other devices, no problem. I can still use it to connect to my Color Nook.
I kill-server; start-server, and look for devices - nothing. But I can see the USB installer and those other few files on the phone, and I can see everything on the sdcard.
Any ideas? I'm going crazy here.
Do you have USB debugging on?

I had this problem as well.
First see if you have the "SAMSUNG usb driver" installed in control panel programs.
If not, take off usb debug and connect phone to computer. Then you should get a "install verizon software" option once you plug it in. Install software .. Then, enable "usb debuging" try it again, if that doesn't work .. remove verizon software, not usb drivers. This is basically what i did, and it started working

[Q] USB MTP mode not working in Bootcamp

Hi,
Has anyone tried connecting the Nexus 5 to a macbook air in bootcamp? I have MTP mode enabled but cant seem to get the phone to show up as a storage device in Computer. I was however able to connect the phone via MTP to a HP laptop no problem. Anyone have any idea what might be going on?
Thanks.
I also have this problem. MTP is selected and my computer doesn't see it as a storage device.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I had this problem with both my Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 5 in Windows 8 and it came back when I updated to 8.1 (on a Windows PC, not even through Bootcamp). The following fixed the problem each time:
1) Go to Device Manager (press WIN+R, probably CMD+R in Bootcamp, type devmgmt.msc and hit ENTER).
2) Find the phone under something like Android Devices.
3) Right-click and select Update Driver Software.
4) Select Browse my computer for driver software
5) Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6) Select USB Composite Device
Apologies if the text isn't exact, I'm actually on a Mac right now and don't have Bootcamp... and the PC I remoted into doesn't have an Android device plugged into it. But after doing all of that, Windows instantly recognized it and both MTP and USB debugging / ADB worked fine.
Hmm, so my phone is showing us as "MTP USB Device" under "Portable Devices" in device manager. And the " Update Driver Software" option is not available when I right click it.

I had the same problem!
None of the drivers works for me and the "Update driver" option is not available when my phone is plugged in.
Are you using a USB 3.0 port?
For some reason my phone works when I connect it through a USB 2.0 hub, but not when I connect it directly to the USB 3 port on my laptop.
Weird.
This solution worked for me. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512549 and see post #5. Be sure to thank n7of9 for the link and WugFresh for his toolkit solution. Enjoy.

[HELP!] Asus Sync & MTP Not Working On SL101

Holla Fellas,
Im facing a trouble regarding connection between my SL101 to My PC and others computer.
ASUS EE PAD SL101
Im trying to check every posibility regarding this thing to make sure that my SL101 are connecting properly to all my computer.
The step that i have done is :
1. Install & Re-Install Asus Sync
2. Install a driver - Universal Naked Driver FAILED : The INF File you selected does not support this method of installation
3. Changing the connection USB Cable ( 5 ORIGINAL CABLE Has tested but - No conection at all)
4. Change PC
5. Ticking USB DEBUGGING
6. Ticking Launch Asus Sync when connect to a computer
What happen now is -
STILL
1. There's no detection of connection in Laptop/PC OR my SL101.
2. No Sign.No Signal.
I think maybe the port has a problem, but theres no problem at all when charging at a Wall
ANYBODY , I HOPE Can get any suggestion that would help me to SOLVED this problem.
Thank You

Asus Ee Pad Slider
OS : Revolver 4.2.1
Laptop OS : Win 7 Ultimate 64 & 32 Bit
Universal Naked Drivers are not signed, so use Win 7 32bit, 64bit and Win 8.x need signed drivers - or hit safemode options at boot and disable driver signing
Then install the universal drivers by plugging in the TF, hitting device manager, finding the ! or TF entry, update drivers and manually direct it to the extracted universal drivers you downloaded
Still No Sign of SL101 or any USB detect from my pc and others PC..

I Already try to connect the SL101 to my PC and Others PC and laptop.
trying the same method that you gave. Its still didnt detect a connection between the Computer. and SL101 Also didnt popup/notify a
usb debugging/mtp/else connection to a computer.
In device manager, theres no connection/new device are detected.im refreshing a few times
If you've tried different genuine cables, and different 32bit Win 7 machines, then Im guessing that the port is damaged on the tablet, can't think of any other factors that would cause this

[Q] [CM11] Can't find my Moto G via USB, ADB, Fastboot

Hello there,
I'm running CM11 20141223 NIGHTLY on my XT1033, and everything is working fine so far, with the exeception of USB communication. I develop my stuff on my desktop, which is running W7. Consider the following scenarios:
1) If I plug it in MTP mode (debugging deactivated), it won't find. Windows tries to install a USB Composite Device driver and fails.
2) If I plug it in PTP mode (debugging still deactivated), Windows installs a Moto G driver and access the DCIM camera folder normally (that's what I've been using to "push" files into it, and then move it with file manager with temp su access).
3) In both MTP and PTP mode, but with debugging activated, Windows detects it as a USB Composite Device. On Device Manager it shows up with the yellow triangle warning icon, but I can't seem to update it (tried with the extra Android drivers that comes with ADT).
4) Neither adb nor fastboot can detect the device. Which is weird because on my notebook, running windows 8.1, I got the same situation but adb (only, fastboot still can't) can detect it.
5) I also installed Koush universal ADB Drivers on both machines.
Does anyone have some insight on the matter? Should I get rid of Koush?
I don't intend on upgrading to CM12 anytime soon. In fact, I did it some weeks ago, but I'm more confortable with CM11 so I rolled back to it.
Hoping it's okay to bump my thread after a month.
Does anyone know what to do in this situation?
Thanks!

Have you tried Motorola's drivers? It installs separate drivers for adb, fastboot, mtp. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_detail/a_id/97326/p/30,6720,9050

Can't connect to PC

Can't connect my 2 XL and 3 XL(both pie august update) to PC(Windows 10). They only charge. There is no notification. Nothing in Device Manager on Windows 10.
I've tried:
Different laptops
Different cables
Different ports
USB Debugging
USB Configuration(All of them and connecting)
USB 2.0 and 3.0
Can anyone please help.
Thank you!
Sometimes my Android phones would not be recognised if there were some old Android phone drivers installed. So I had to remove old drivers in the Windows settings and let Windows automatically reinstall drivers when plugging in my phone again.
Don't know if this is the right direction also for you, as in your case literally nothing is working, but you still could give it a shot.
Instructions on how to uninstall a driver In Windows can be found here:
https://www.pcworld.com/article/246041/how-to-uninstall-drivers-in-windows.html
Just look out for a device name that could match Android phones. For example 'MTP device' or 'ADB device' or something, and uninstall those drivers, and then plug in your phone in 'File Transfer Mode' again and see if something changes.
Hope this helps.
windows 10 and it's drivers and updates are too buggy! Please use linux live USB, doot from it on your PC and try connecting your phone to it. I am sure that will work and issue is in your OS and not in your phone
