Holla Fellas,
Im facing a trouble regarding connection between my SL101 to My PC and others computer.
ASUS EE PAD SL101
Im trying to check every posibility regarding this thing to make sure that my SL101 are connecting properly to all my computer.
The step that i have done is :
1. Install & Re-Install Asus Sync
2. Install a driver - Universal Naked Driver FAILED : The INF File you selected does not support this method of installation
3. Changing the connection USB Cable ( 5 ORIGINAL CABLE Has tested but - No conection at all)
4. Change PC
5. Ticking USB DEBUGGING
6. Ticking Launch Asus Sync when connect to a computer
What happen now is -
STILL
1. There's no detection of connection in Laptop/PC OR my SL101.
2. No Sign.No Signal.
I think maybe the port has a problem, but theres no problem at all when charging at a Wall
ANYBODY , I HOPE Can get any suggestion that would help me to SOLVED this problem.
Thank You

Asus Ee Pad Slider
OS : Revolver 4.2.1
Laptop OS : Win 7 Ultimate 64 & 32 Bit

Universal Naked Drivers are not signed, so use Win 7 32bit, 64bit and Win 8.x need signed drivers - or hit safemode options at boot and disable driver signing
Then install the universal drivers by plugging in the TF, hitting device manager, finding the ! or TF entry, update drivers and manually direct it to the extracted universal drivers you downloaded

Still No Sign of SL101 or any USB detect from my pc and others PC..

I Already try to connect the SL101 to my PC and Others PC and laptop.
trying the same method that you gave. Its still didnt detect a connection between the Computer. and SL101 Also didnt popup/notify a
usb debugging/mtp/else connection to a computer.
In device manager, theres no connection/new device are detected.im refreshing a few times

If you've tried different genuine cables, and different 32bit Win 7 machines, then Im guessing that the port is damaged on the tablet, can't think of any other factors that would cause this

[Q] usb serial driver

Where can i download a free serial usb driver for windows smartphone?
What do you want to do? Serial interface is already included via Bluetooth (incoming and outgoing port) - not sure about USB, despite AS connection in "not enhanced mode (RNDIS)" is said to be "serial" as well.
I need the driver to connect my smartphone to a new pc via usb. My old pc crashed recently and i wasnt able to backup any software. Also, ive lost the cd which came with the phone and i dont know where to get a replacement.
You need a driver for the PC, not on the device. I have no experience with new OS, only Win XP. What happens when you connect the device via USB to the new PC?
My os is winxp. When i connect to the pc it says "found new hardware generic serial" then it brings the found new hardware wizard . I cant continue since i dont have the recquired driver on a removable disk or anywhere on the pc.my phone is spv c600
You need to install Active Sync first on your PC. This should install also all needed drivers for the device to connect. Look here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...34-6f7f-404d-a04b-dc09f8141141&displayLang=en
I have already installed activesync 4.5 but i didnt see it install any drivers.
Is WinXP on the latest Service Pack (SP3 I think) and does it have all Microsoft patches installed afterwards?
AS install should put the drivers to the repository for later install when needed - it will not install the drivers right away. Why don't you let the driver's install look for the drivers in the internet - I don't remember any similar problems on my PC.
Search Microsoft for USB serial driver and RNDIS driver for XP if install does not get it for you automatically.
Oh! It has dected the phone. I reinstalled it while the device was connected to the pc and it worked . thanx so much

[Q] usb drivers not working on XP

I'm on XP, I downloaded the drivers from Asus support site for my TF101.
When I connect the device it's loaded as 'Unknown Device'. So I open up the properties through Device Manager > 'Drivers' tab > Update Driver > go through the steps to manually specify the driver file (that I downloaded from Asus) and I get:
The specified location does not contain information about your hardware.
Click to collapse
I looked at the driver file and I do see some lines for my device:
[ASUS.NTx86]

%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0B05&PID_4E1F&MI_01
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0B05&PID_4E3F&MI_02

The 'USB\VID...' is something I saw before under the properties of the Unknown Device. Under the Details tab:
USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\5&32FD0D5E&0&2
Click to collapse
The format doesn't look exactly right, but I tried adding this to the driver file anyway and attempted to load the driver file again. Same result.
It worries me that both the VID/PID is 0000.
I also tried loading the driver file contained in tf_rootkit_31.zip
from this post: [ROM] UPDATED Transformer pure root tw/us/ww/de/jp (8.4.4.5/11/12/8.6.5.6/7) - xda-developers
Same result.
Gettin frustrated... any suggestions.
TIA
Try uninstalling any drivers already there and install Asus sync. That did it for me at least.
Thanks for the response.
I have Asus Sync installed, but I installed midway between trying to get the tablet recognized.
Should I disconnect the tablet and reinstall Asus sync? (I'll try it.)
When you say remove the drivers there, do you mean all usb drivers? Right now it's just showing up as 'Unknown Device' in the device manager (no yellow exclamation either) which I think means there is no driver. What I mean is I don't think it's installing a default driver. I'm not sure if or how to remove this default 'Unknown Device' functionality.
Also doesn't it seem weird that the VID/PID is all 0000s... Is that a problem with the tablet or the PC?
The issue look like the usb cable or the connecter fail. It isn't a software issue. You can change the usb cable in first to check the issue.
One thing for xp, you need to have wmv 11 installed. It includes drivers needed for the tf101
Thanks for the responses.
I'll have to check my WMP version tonight.
The cable works for charging, but I'll look into getting it replaced.
Just wanted to give an update. I purchased a new adapter and data cable. Plugged it in and nothing....
Didn't even recognize the tablet was connected!
So I tried another laptop with XP and the same thing. I went back to the old cable and sometimes it pops up that a device is connected, most of the time nothing. I tested the USB ports with a USB stick, pops up everytime so I'm pretty sure it's the tablet. I still don't know if it's hardware or software, but I don't think its the cable.
I decided to contact asus support. Hopefully I'll get some sort of response.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Just a suggestion, try installing android sdk and setting up adb.
Sent from samsung vibrant
Sorry, I may have forgotten to mention it, but I installed sdk early on in the process. Thanks just the same, have a good evening.
It's ok. Was just something that came to mind. Another thing if you're rooted then you can try
Booting into recovery and see if adb works in recovery mode.
Sent from samsung vibrant
Did you make sure wmv player 11 was installed?
I had two issues with xp, one was wmv player 11 not installed. But then there was another reason that the device driver wasn't working. Look in control panel->system->device manager, and check out the driver for the unknown device. If it lists an error, there is a microsoft fix for it.
Try installing going to download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/9/20944076-988f-487c-89fa-d37718782948/Microsoft_User-Mode_Driver_Framework_Install-v1.0-WinXP.exe it work for me.
USB tethering grayed
Even though I have connected the Transformer to a laptop (WinXP) with a USB cable the Transformer doesn't recognize its presence. Doesn't matter which USB port I connect to.
I am having this same problem, I have the mtp drivers from the ASUS website, I have the drivers for NVFlash, I have ADB installed (though it may be outdated, my android sdk is for Froyo I believe).
Getting my TF to connect to my laptop (Win 7 64bit, Media Player 12) is hit and miss, I usually have to reboot my laptop with the TF plugged in to get a connection.
No devices are listed in computer management or devices and printers when it doesnt show up. Nothing shows up on the TF (no notifications for ASUS Sync or USB Debugging).
When it does show up, I get a message in Windows saying the drivers failed to install correctly, but then it works.
I'm unsure if this is a Windows issue (perhaps with mtp support), or a TF issue (I've heard the TF doesn't like to recognize being connected/disconnected to the dock, perhaps there is an issue with the proprietary port).
I've had this issue over multiple ROMS...

On my laptop i only have one account, it has administrator privileges.
I'm also facing the same problem with my win7 x64 detecting the tf (a B40... model). Wonder if this due to a faulty data cable?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I just wanted to post an update:
While it is a little early to tell, I believe I have fixed this issue on my 64bit Win 7 Laptop. (Not sure if every step is necessary, but these are the steps I followed.)
Disclaimer: I do not guarantee that these steps will work for everybody, and I am not responsible for any mistakes made or problems that arise from following these steps. Please only follow these steps if you understand what you are doing. You take full responsibility for your actions.
Note: You need to be able to get a connection between the TF and computer, for me I had to reboot my computer every time I wanted my computer to see my TF, if you are completely unable to establish a connection these steps will not work.
What I did:
1. Go into control panel> programs and features.
2. Click on "Turn Windows features on and off" (or something similar to that in other Windows versions).
3. Uncheck/turn off "Windows Media Player" (may be in a sub folder like media features). (Windows Media Player is responsible for MTP drivers (which the TF uses), you will be prompted to restart the computer, please do so.)
4. Make sure your TF is being recognized by the computer (I had to reboot with it plugged in for it to be seen again).
5. Open up the device manager (just run a search for device manager OR open the start menu> right click on computer> manage, click on device manager).
6. Expand "portable devices".
7. Right click on the TF and choose "uninstall". (The TF will only be listed if it is currently being seen by the computer (i.e. you are able to transfer files).)
8. Unplug the TF and plug it back in. The drivers should be reinstalled, hopefully correctly.
Note: I haven't turned Windows Media Player back on yet (don't have much use for it, except maybe my zune). Not sure if turning it back on will have an effect or not.
Please take care when editing any Windows settings, I hope this works for Vista/XP as well.

[Q] Bricked Asus Transformer TF 101 B60

Hi all first off I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I'm having a problem unbricking an Asus transformer tf101 B60, I'll start with what's going on or not for that matter. lol
1. Boot to recovery is CWM-Based Recovery v5.5.0.4 roach-tf101-r2
2. will not see sd card / backup-restore= -2014-04-05.02.52.56 / no files found
3. Choose a zip = e: can't open /sdcard/update.zip
4.PC windows 7 pro 64 bit will not see the tablet when plugged into usb getting unrecognized device, force driver still getting yellow ding=device cannot start
if I plug in the usb and turn on the tablet windows does not even see that and unit sits on logo screen. and other screen the cold lynx boot that hangs there.
So in short I'm hitting a brick wall, windows won't see it, it won't see the SD card in recovery mode.
I've read in these posts how to fix this problem and have all the software / firmware you name it, but they all say almost the same thing, windows needs to see the device in order for any of these fixes to work, and thus is my wall I'm hitting.
Any help to find a solution to this problem would be oh so thankful to you all and call you Tablet Gods, this was a tablet given to me as a paper weight and I thought if it boots it can be fixed?
Thanks for your time and God like tablet knowledge.
Cheers.
Install the APX drivers (Universal Naked Drivers) and use the tool "Easyflasher" to flash TWRP recovery (Forget CWM) both from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012
You might need to install the APX drivers manually using Device Manager
If you find that the PC still does not see the TF101, you might need a new cable
Driver Not Working

I booted the unit into recover mode and windows sees unknown device..Ok
Tried to install new naked driver and getting a splash saying not compatible with windows 64 bit, I tried this on a brand new windows 7 pro 32 bit laptop and got the same results. I do have a brand new usb cable for it thinking that the old one was faulty, tried adb again same thing no device found, are there any commands in terminal emulator that can force the driver on the usb port? I'm thinking that if windows sees an unknown device then at least it sees something there just not whats there? Am i wrong in that somehow it's lost the usb firmware connection? so the driver will not install and if forced does not make the connection to the device? So this is my results.
So I'm ready to put gun in mouth over this, my laptops going to divorce me over driver abuse and the tablet mocks me with the frozen Asus logo.
Again Thanks for all the advice and i'll keep slugging it out.As this unit is in perfect condition outside of the Bricked part
You don't need to boot it into recovery mode to start with, just install the drivers normally first with the TF101 connected and booted normally
It's always going to say it can't find the device if the driver isn't installed
Focus on getting that APX driver installed and working, once you have that installed, Im pretty sure it will see the device fine
Asus TF101 B60 Softbrick? What Now?
Hello all.
I've been searching in vain for an answer to my Bricked Asus tf101? I'm just going to get right to the problem.
I can't get the tablet to be seen by windows 7 pro 64bit, Unknown device and yes I've tried everything, except asking if there's a way to force connection through a terminal like I've seen done with a router and a network switch to force a flash file so as to get at least a response after a reboot instead of just the Asus splash screen, here's a summary.
The Good.
1. I can boot to recovery CWM-based recovery v5.5.0.4 roach-tf101-r2 with menu's
Bad: Does not see sd card only see's internal and there's no file or folder error for backup/restore
2.Boots to screen with 2 icons data wipe and linix cold boot and goes nowhere from there just hangs.
So I'm stuck here, I have all to tools to do the job only if windows would see it, Adb does not see device which means the same thing no driver no fix,
Everywhere I read it says do this and that and it will restore to factory, that would be great if windows saw the thing, so I'm looking for a way to get the tablet to boot to something other than a loop. also tried the put the E101_SDUPDATE.zip in the root of the SD card and restart, does not see the card or file or both so it's not loading the file?
1. windows 7 not seeing device, will not take force drivers, Universal-Nvidia-Asus- MTP
2. recovery does not see sd card, so can't flash new anything?
3. So no communication from SD/USB
4. Is there a terminal command I can use to force a Blob or flash a recovery to the tablet when drivers and USB don't respond?
And to top that off my laptop filed for divorce for driver abuse..lol I'm not giving up.
Thanks to you all,
I want to thank you all for your time and advice it is very much appreciated, and I'll keep slugging away because I know there's a fix out there.
Cheers.

Thanks for the Advice, Is there a thread outlining this so I can give it a try? I do have a new laptop I'm building out with windows 7 Pro 32bit as I've had so much trouble with the 64bit version.
If you're building a 32bit Win 7 laptop, then no need for virtual machines, just use that laptop, this is the Easyflasher thread, you should only need to follow the couple of simple instructions once you have 32bit Win 7 running
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012
Basically in a nutshell:
1) Plug in TF101 to PC and make sure ADB debugging is enabled in Dev options on TF
2) Drivers will/should fail to install
3) Open Device manager
4) Right click the ! missing driver
5) Update driver > Point to extracted Universal Naked Drivers from Easyflasher thread
6) Drivers should install
7) Leave TF plugged into PC
8) Power TF off
9) Hold Volume Up & Power until the PC sounds the USB connect sound
10) TF is now in APX mode (Nothing on TF screen yet) drivers should install, check Device Manager, if it doesn't install, point it to the extracted Universal drivers folder again until they are installed
11) Follow instructions to use Easyflasher
12) Done

You're not going to be able to put the tablet into APX mode till you get the drivers installed correctly.
With the tablet connected to the computer and the tablet on, download the naked driver package. open up device manager and right click on Other Devices - APX and chose update driver. Chose browse and then go to where you downloaded the naked driver package. If it complains that they aren't signed, click install anyway. If successful, you should now be able to put your tablet in APX mode.

[Q] TF101 Can't connect to Win 7

Hi all, title says it all really, I can't connect my tf101 to Windows 7, the PC beeps when I plug it in and that's it, no dialog saying usb device found or anything, I've Googled for hours and tried installing Asus official drivers as well as the recommended Naked ones but zilch works, adb doesn't list any devices and I'm at a loss as to what to try next - any help much appreciated
Would love a response on this as well...
Received the TF-101 as a gift yesterday and wanted to root it using OneClickRecoverV0.4.2 (run as admin) on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Device isn't showing up in "adb devices"
After researching extensively, I have tried:
- Naked drivers
- ASUS sync
- Latest SDK
I can confirm that the device is successfully entering APX mode by looking at the Safely Eject/Remove hardware taskbar, although I only see it in Device Manager when the TF-101 is fully booted up (non-APX mode). USB Debugging is checked off as well. I'm full charged and I've tried multiple USB ports.
What am I missing here? This is frustrating!

Windows 10 installs latest drivers automatically. I don't know if Windows 7 will do the same.
It's not uncommon for the problem to be on the PC side.
Try to uninstall and the drivers, update OS and clean your windows system. Then connect the phone and let Windows install the drivers.
For ADB connection you need either Huawei or Google drivers. Depends on Huawei model.

I have this problem on my windows 10 but not on my windows 8 laptop. The fix is to manually update the installed device driver software. That is assuming you've previously installed all drivers or windows installed them for you.
If you connect your phone to PC and put it on file transfer mode. But nothing comes up do this
Connect phone to PC.
Right click start menu
Click device manager
Expand portable devices
Under portable devices you will see mtp device or
You should see your device eg H60-L04
Right click. Update driver software
Browse my computer for driver
Click Let me pick from a list of drivers
It should show you a couple of drivers. Like MTP / MTP USB device. Just pick another from the list and click next.
Hopefully this works for you
