NO CWM RECOVERY tool for this unpopular device!! - General Questions and Answers

So i've bought this unpopular tablet + phone device that has an android version 4.2.2 installed, Jelly bean. Brand name is: Neo. Full name would be: Neo Omnipad 3g. I've rooted it successfully but i kind of wanna have a backup of my system before i do some risky stuffs. I downloaded the Nandroid backup app in my phone and created a backup that is placed on my sd card now but the PROBLEM IS: I don't have a CWM recovery tool. I've tried to use ROM manager but it wont recognize my device as well which means i cant install any CWM Recovery tool that would support my device as well as backups, I also did tried the Quick boot and tried to put my device into Recovery mode but it stucked on the Android with an open body having Exclamation on it. Could somebody help me with this? Are there any other ways that could support my device in terms of having a backup of my current and original ROM or OS in this android? Thanks much!

If you can figure out how to unlock your phones' bootloader, you might be able use "Odin" to flash+backup your ROM and data.

[Q] Can I remove ROM Manager and its recovery lock?

I installed ClockworkMod's ROM Manager v.4.8.0.6 which includes ClockworkMod (CWM) to backup stock ROM on brand new Samsung i9000m.
Problem #1 with ROM Manager
CWM won't install because it does not have verified signatures which my device requires to install it.
I removed ROM Manager and re-booted.
I installed ROM Toolbox.
Problem #2 with ROM Manager
With ROM Toolbox, when trying to backup ROM I get the message:ROM Manager blocked other apps from creating backups in recovery unless ROM Manager Premium is installed.
Once you install ROM Manager Premium you can use ROM Toolbox to backup your ROM. From stock Recovery I wiped and restored, tried all over again with same results. I can reboot into stock recovery, but I cannot backup my ROM.
This is bad. No application should hook into and lock-up your device in such a way that you cannot get it properly recovered, or prevent another application from properly backing-up your ROM.
I have sent emails and tweets to the developer but have yet to receive a reply.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I cannot proceed until I get a full backup, which from the message I am getting, ROM Manager is preventing from doing unless I send money.
you can search google or xda for cwm recovery or amonra and flash it

[Q] NEED HELP:About Galaxy Mini

HI , i am using galaxy mini ICS CM9 Beta3, can i use odin instant install back my gingerbread 2.3.6 ? .....my beta3 rom is not working the USB storage, but i test boot my phone to downloading mode and open ODIN,it is connect to my phone. i am confused, someone can help me
if you want to go back to your previous rom, you should have backed it up using clockworkmod.
if you didn't, I suggest you install it (if you have root, you can install the rom manager application to do that for you)
Regarding Odin, you can use it to restore to your previous version, if you have the rom on your computer. As usual, you will loose all your user data.
In Galaxy Mini, to use that program is to have a hard brick, so don't install that. Rom manager is not compatible with our device.
I think if you make a nandroid and flash the rom through CWM after the wipes, you won't have any problem, but it will be better if someone gives more opinions, just in case.

boot loop on galaI've been trying to load custom ROxy mini (not lack of /data format)
I actually have ROM Manager on my Mini, though I haven't flashed CWM through it, granted (and I won't after your advice, thanks).
I installed my clockworkmod on my phone , how to back my previous ROM ? How should i do??
To be clear, you CANNOT go back to your existing rom through clockworkmod if you didn't back it up first.
Since you didn't, your only chance now is to flash the original firmware. If you don't have the firmware file on your computer, you're going to have to obtain it somehow. I recommend your mobile operator, and google if that fails.

Nandroid backup
The first part of your journey is to learn about how to perform a Nandroid backup. There are lots of resources available if you search XDA and/or Google.
Here is just one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1713869 (which points to a decent external article of the subject)
You will need to get a custom recovery onto your device in order to perform the backup. Personally, I used TWRP and have found it to be excellent far. Good luck!
Install CWM recovery via rom manager and reboot in recovery. You can backup your rom there
You must have any recovery in ur device.
Reboot into recovery and choose backup and restore option and do a complete backup of ur device

[Completed] Am Dead need help to get rid of CWM.

I was trying to install a custom rom on my phone yesterday. I made a backup of my system using the phones recovery mode. After that i tried installing the rom, but i was told that i can only install the rom with clock work Mode (CWM) installed on my device. So i installed the CWM and went ahead to install the rom. As it turned out the rom was not compartible with my phone so the phone started bool looping (freezing at manufacture logo). Sensing danger i went back to restore my old operating system using the backup i made earleir only to realize that i couldnt install it. That was because i made the made the backup using the recovery mode of the stock rom and as such CWM could use that backup. Now am stuck with a soft bricked phone.
I have a few choices.
1. Get CWM out of the phone and use the recovery mode of the stock rom to restore my system.
2. Install a compartible custom rom on my phone and take off from there.
Can anyone help me out with a way that i can get back to the recovery mode of my stock rom or better still how to remove clock work mode from the phone.
Or alternatively a custom rom that will work with my phone. Am using a mediatek device and after searching for some time i have realised that there are very few roms out there that actually work with mediatek devices. If anyone can suggest one for me, i would be very grateful.

As IDK what kind of backup you made on the "stock" recovery, you should try to flash a compatible ROM for your device.
Have a look at this one: Xperia Honami ROM For all Mediatek 6572.
But you need to boot into the custom recovery for flashing it.
Next time create the backup with CWM or TWRP recovery. Then you can restore it in the corresponding recovery again.

No one can help you if you don't tell anyone what your device model number is. The device you have is what determines how you flash recovery and which recovery you can flash.
