Oneplus network speed is like a flat boy trying to beat usainbolt.
I've tested my HTC One m7 vs Oneplus connection and M7 is REALY fast.
Oneplus is slow, even connected with H+ it takes time to load the page, tryied different sim , 1000 modems , nothing.
Also when you try to use it as hotspot it loses signal, no loading webpages!
When this will be fixed? I think it's a real problem for this phone. More than the touchscreen issue.
I just got 35/7Mbps on speed test on mine via tmobile US. Seems fine to me.

I know that speed it's ok , but if you use the phone after some minutes network starts dropping , and even if is connected to hspa webpages does not load, or they take to much time.
I've tryied 2 different operators (i'm from italy) and nothing changed.
I havent noticed any drops at all, but I'll keep a look out for it when I do more heavy browsing on it.

No problems here neither (unless I'm on a very slow wifi, but then I switch to LTE and all is fast again...)
Strange! Used two italian network(wind and Vodafone) and I never had slow network or dropped connection..which network did you use?

Super fast for me
Since using oxygen os,no more WiFi drop issues. Still don't like oxygen os but at least it seems stable.

No problem here with Wind, Voda and 3. Can't test TIM. But never had an issue.
Used with Slim, CM11S and CM12.

Happens to me all the time regardless of Modem etc. Just another OPO "deal with it" thing. Luckily never occurs while tethering though

Anyone else having a problem with the NxS jumping between 2G/3G network all the time?
I tried 2G-only and it seems the it does interrupt connection less often, but it still does. I'll exchange the sim card tomorrow to rule out the last option (I can think of) I got before returning the NxS and asking for a replacement.
(i9023, stock rom/kernel/radio, tried 3 stock roms with diff radios (KA3, KB3, KD1))
Maybe anyone got an idea or a hint.
Sounds like ur in a weak 3g area so it keeps goin back to 2g

Granted I'm not in the best 3G area, but I usually get 3 (of 5) bars in 3G and then it just pops back to 2G.
Might be network pumping (or w/e it's exactly called), gonna exchange the sim anyway to track down the problem further.
Are u on orange in the uk

I have this problem aswell. Thing is 2 3g bars are way faster than 4 g bars. I cant change it to use only cdma in the service menu. Anyone know why.

So does change of simcard help?
I got it fixed for me. I tried n3 and n5 sim cards, no changes. Problems were caused by faulty antennas, after being fixed by the carrier problem was reduced to a minimum. Now to get rid of the so called network breathing, which is a problem of the used communication method itself aka can't be fixed. University ftl!! Simply too many smartphones

When my phone shows the H symbol for network, it works well, but when I'm not using the network (no traffic), it falls back into 3g and gets stuck on upload. Occasionally, H service will come back, but often it won't. I have found if I turn the screen off, H service is restored.
I have had this problem for months now. I have a i9020a. Currently I have CM9 April 8th nightly installed, using the i9020AUCKJ1 radio. I just got done reverting to the stock build recently released from Google (IMM76D, I think), then upgrading to CM9.
No matter what I've done, nothing has worked:
1. reverting to stock then upgrading to a custom rom (Team-Kang, CyberGR, CM9, etc);
2. trying different radios;
3. opening phone info (*#*#4636#*#*) and changing it to GSM auto PRL as well as setting the band to USA;
4. making sure the APN is correct;
5. restoring the IMEI backup;
Any ideas what the issue could be?
H is 3G. Only active while data is being actively sent/received and it is actually feasible to use in your current area. Also, are you sure it is not only the animation that gets stuck?
Is there an actual problem, though? Is something not working quite right (data, sync, notifications, etc)?
It gets stuck on UMTS:3 (just keeps trying to upload) and won't work again until I turn off the screen and then it will usually revert to HSDPA:9.

you should download taskiller.. kill all app before you use your internet, i have same problem and always solved with that way..
hope this helping

While taskiller certainly kills most running processes, it does nothing to help my network connection.
On a separate note, my roommate has the same phone and his maintains a steady HSDPA:9 connection without ever dropping into a UMTS:3 connection.

The normal behavior of the phone is to use HSDPA while it's in need(download/upload) , when not in use automatically goes to UMTS:3
What ROM your room mate is using ? model ? radio ? network ?

You're talking totally rubbish ... Killing apps will not enhance anything and may even slow things down by needing more CPU power to open auto apps again...
I have expereinced the same issues with my 9020a on ATT. Sent phone to Samsung twice, changed SIM cards 4 times. Updated radios, now on 4.0.4 getting about 120 kbps download speeds while my other phone (work phone), iphone4s on att, gets about 5 mbps.
Call att, they credited me my entire months bill and offered a free galaxy note with a 2 year agreement. My thought is that ma' bell is just killing any unlocked phone or there are issues related to "LTE" rollout they wont admit to that is causing a disruption with 3.5G.
Anyways to the OP, you aren't alone. I too hope someon can help!
My roommate is using the same rom, CM9 (nightly from 3/29 though), radio is i9020xxkb3, network is also AT&T with same plan.
Watching the About Phone/Status on his phone, it stays on HSDPA:9.
My returns to UMTS:3 when not in use, but when in this mode, I get no network traffic at all. I will flash upload but will never download anything. Occasionally, H service will be restored, and I will get my network connection back.

why you're wifi on ?

To begin proper troubleshooting turn wifi off while you browseand report back
I experience the same connectivity problems whether I have the wifi off or not.

i am from the Philippines and i'm experiencing the same problem with my i9023. No connection when on "3G", connection resumes when "H" or "E" appears in status bar

Since I flashed the OTA for Oneplus One that gave my CyanogenOS12 I'm having problem with my signal and data connectivity.
When I lose the signal, it's like impossible for the phone to get the signal back, and I often have to reboot the phone to get back to a signal. Yesterday even that didn't work.
Something like that has happened to me before, with a reboot needed, but now it's much more often.
Are there someone else that having the same problem like I do?

No. I'm in Sweden.
Turns out a lot of people having this issue with the LTE. Turing LTE off and it will work better. It's just like when the phone drops the LTE signal the first time, it has huge problems getting back to a signal at all.

Hutchinson 3 G Italy here. Same problem turning LTE off...
Hi all, I am having major data problems with my phone. I am using Ting on the sprint CDMA/LTE network.
I am currently running CM12.1 nightlies but the problem existed on Android stock L and CM 12.
What happens is, after 5 min to several hours i lose data connectivity and end up with an exclamation point on the signal bar meter. When this happens the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. I have tried to do a Carrier update and PRL update but both give network errors and fail. I also tried to type the *#DATA code but it doesnt work, it just deletes what I type in an nothing happens.
Also, even when my data is working (and it says LTE on the signal bars), my mobile network data slider in settings is always off and can not be turned on, no matter what.
I am on the 5.1 radio and even tried to reflash it. Any ideas?
Thanks

Also experiment with Radios. Nexus 5 for me has been the worst for Radio reliability. The latest one for me gives the issues you describe. Its not the only one to do so either.

Hi there, folks ! I'm having some problems here. I've bought a phone from somebody these days. It's not new, but almost. The problem i'm having is the next one: when I activate mobile data, it works only for a few minutes or, sometimes, just seconds. The phone has been decoded a few monts ago from ORANGE (Roumania) to VODAFONE (Roumania) and the phone it's from Roumania, of course. What should I do.. What do you think it's the problem... Hardware/software ?
Also, the battery is starting to leak. I don't know how ! I have DU BATTERY SAVER PRO and CLEAN MASTER installed and working. The thing is my first or the second charge last very much.. but after, not so much.. And I know a few things about phones...
APPRECIATE !
EDIT: I switched to ONLY GSM and it kinda works.. not great but at least it's not stopping again from receiving and sending data.
It might be your network providers fault switch your simcard with a new one had the same problem with me

I have used this sim on other phones with 0 problems. On this phone, data mobile only works in only GSM mode (and it's kinda slow). When I choose only WCDMA it works for a few seconds and after, it stops. What the heck ?

The thing is the battery didn't leaked until I have reset the phone. After the reset, it started leaking like crazy and believe me, I did not installed more than 3-4 apps..
Same problem here. Could it be a baseband compatibility issue?

yes that happen to me. but i throw my battery against wall.
I also have the mobile data problem. And guess what: I am on Vodafone Romania. The phone works great on other networks but not on Vodafone . The problem occurred like 1-2 months ago. What is wrong with Vodafone? I must say that I changed the sim card but with no luck. And the sim card works OK in other phones. So is some kind of incompatibility between s2 plus and Vodafone.
