visiblity is medium, the glass reflects a lot unfortunately..screen is kind of bright.. but compared with other devices such as note 4 Mate 7 is probably not conisdered good.. the brightness of the screen is ok but the glass is not that good.. it reflects a lot (also attach screen prints too easy)

For me brilliant.. u obviously turn screen to max..
Decent visibility and brightness. Better than Oneplus One and Xperia Z Ultra which i own/owned recently.
At work, i spend 8h outside, M7 is doing the job well.
Needs to say that I have removed the screen protector.. that was on the device when I bought it..it is possible this screen protector will remove a lot of the reflections I get... Just a thought..
but due to fingerprints to keep the screen protector was really no alternative.
Buy a anti fingerprint non reflective quality screen film.
Display on mate 7 is very very good JDI unit, good all rounder display, strong sunlight maybe not the best but it good.

I really can't decide wich to get.
I like Boxwaves but they don't have for Trinity, will others fit?
And second wich is better anti-glare or crystal. I think I want anti-glare but is it clear enough?
Anyway hope someone has some brilliant advice
http://overlayplus.com/BE/dis_product.asp?model=d_d810&modeln=P3600&prod_type=screen
i got this one and i can higly recommend it.
you just cant tell its there
For me there are no better ones than from MartinFields
http://www.martinfields.co.uk/productdec.asp?pid=2683&modeln=P3600&model=d_d810
I agree! Martin Fields Overlay is the way forward
(I do wish it was anti-glare though, the sunlight can make it quite difficult to see things sometimes and its not even summer yet)
So what about boxwaves anti-glare? Wouldn't they be better then?

Are there any protectors which help with veiwing the screen outside in sunlight? I thought 'anti-glare' was just anti-reflective, and nothing to improve contrast or brightness?
I have found that the screen is really hard to see, even on the brightest setting.
My previous SE p910 did not have this problem, and was great in sunlight. I'm using a Martin Fields protector, but I don't think that the problem - I had one on my P910 too

Yeah, if anyone does find something which makes sunlight viewing better than please share, because I too am having huge difficulties making anything out in daytime outside.
No trouble in night/daylight/sunlight/w.e. I'm using a Brando Ultra Clear screen protector.
You can only see the protector on the screen when you look very very closely.
You can take the protector off and wash it, but I don't advise you to do that because it's difficult to get your screen dustfree again..
The support of Brando is also super-great!
I second the Brando recommendations.
It is the best one I have used. Uses no glue, so can be repositioned. But it holds very fast using vacuum principles and static. No, it doesnt shift around on its own. In fact can only be removed with a loop of sticky tape.
Secondly, it is perfectly visible in sunlight. I have SPB mobile shell and have the screen brightness adjustment on my today screen. In sunlight the lowest setting is almost invisible, but even the second lowest setting is visible in sun with this protector. The brightest settings are more than enough for even very bright sunlight.

Hello, in a next few days I'm most likely to buy Samsung Nexus S I9023.
But I have found in this webpage that 1.it does not film at 720p also 2.LAGS in web scrolling. What is more 3.it does not have gorrila or whatever glass, is it important or just a marketing thing? So what is the current situation on number 1 and 2. Thank you very much

I use mine as a phone, not a camera, so i don't really care about the 720p
The browser does lag on images, but alternative browsers (like dolphin and firefox) are fine.
Gorrilla glass does help, but it's not perfect. I support about 40 phones, 35 of witch have regular glass and 5 have gorilla glass. Over a 1 year period, I've had 1 non-gorilla glass get cracked, 2 with gorilla glass got shattered in the same time period.
To me, Gorilla glass is more about avoiding the minor scratchs and not total shatter proofing. I also have the belief that if you think your glass is more shatter proof, you are less likely to be protective of it.
(for those who want to see a shattered gorilla glass, i've attached a photo - 2 foot drop from shirt pocket landed flat faced on pavement)
Thank you for reply, I just got informed that this nexus s has super clear lcd instead of super amoled. Which screen is better while having direct contact with the sun?

i guess SA screen is better when you looking at under sunlight ,
but Super Clear LCD also is fine , it's depending on your brillantness setting
so super clear lcd is jut natural colours versus SAMOLED too bright colours ? and Super clear lcd is jut bad at different view angles but other than that its good ?

Trust me the SC-LCD is just fine. In day by day use you won't be too worried by what type of screen you have. Enjoy your NS
Since I haven't found a thread about this, for those who are curious about the screen protectors that are included in the box.
I've tried them on, its not oleophobic and its not scratch proof. Oh and it makes the phone look less good, because of the funny triangle cutoff they made.
Keeping them on for now till i get my hands on some better quality protectors... (getting Spigen GLAS.t) or might as well go naked glass and remove the antishatter film... but a screen like this.. deserves some extra protection... as long the protection itself doesnt make look bad.
Several threads about this already. In every post that talks about the provided screen protectors, it's been discussed they are not oleophopic, etc.

See if you have applied it properly. The NFC logo does cause a bump in the screen protector. Weird.
You still got the NFC sticker on under the back screen protector?

My included screen protectors went on the day I had the phone - in my experience the highest chance of scratching, dropping, scuffing or knocking a new phone is in the first few days and weeks when your hands aren't quite used to the shape and size of it.
I'll keep these on until they start looking tatty - which may not be very much longer, especially for the back one - then relace with something nicer.

It was applied perfectly well thank you very much.
Sony confirmed to me that they cause issues with the camera flash in low light conditions and have agreed to replace my phone due to the original factory fitted protectors being scratched.
Please don't jump to stupid conclusions that people don't know how to apply screen protectors. I am almost 40 and have been using mobile phones since the very first bricks and have been applying screen protectors since they first came out also.
Cheers.

I removed the NFC logo. I'm getting my phone replaced and will be putting the new one in a case and having an invisible shield on the front.

I immediately put on the Front AND Back screen protectors included in-box for my C6603 AFTER taking off the NFC sticker, but kept the anti shatter screen on as well, after hearing it was incredibly prone. My XZ hardly picks up any fingerprints or dust, and has no scratches whatsoever. Also, I've found everything about the viewing angles and contrast to really not matter at all in general use - but this is my first phone since the good ol' LG Cookie.

I can't really explain what I'm thinking of, I don't have a problem with the LCD itself, but on the surface of the screen it looks really smudgy, but in a weird way. My older phone or tablets screen had fingerprints of course, but it's different on the XL. You can't see it in the dark, but outdoors in the sun (even now in winter) I can barely see the screen because of it. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if yours also loook like mine.
That's the only reason I use a screen protector, but I don't like the feel of the screen protector so I'd like to remove it.

And do you use some kind of screen protector or you just have to bare with it?
I bought an XtremeGuard screen protector and it looks better with it, but it feels sticky, and I don't know which one is worse.

I don't use a screen protector, since it reduces the touchscreen sensitivity. But it feels a little bit better with it.

That is because of screen is coated in a special way. Just learn to live with it or get a screen protector but then you will have to learn to deal with lowered sensitivity.

I already have a screen protector, and I have no problems with the lowered sensitivity, every one of my touch has been detected since I applied, but I wanted to peel it off because the surface of the protector feels sticky.
I'll probably just buy another screen protector, because I don't think I could live with that coating.
Hi,
Just got this phone and I can't be 100% if it has a screen protector fitted to it already or it is one of the normal in box protectors just a bit thicker.
I don't really like it to be honest - I normally don't use screen protectors so wonder if someone removed it from theirs and how it is.
Thanks

It's a factory installed screen protector.. If I'm not mistaken, most honor phones come with one installed.. Like the 7x as well.. Up to you if you want to remove it..

Cheers, that's what I suspected..
The screen feels too resistant and a bit like an old tactile touch screen instead of a smooth 2018 screen with it on.
. I'll try it for a few days before I decide to take it off or not.

If you're on the latest 130 firmware version, touch sensitivity has gone down from the factory 100 version. It might not be the SP fault for low sensitivity..

Without the poly film screen is better. In fact with poly film the touches were sometimes not working and was not that smooth. For better experience you should remove it and use the phone or use any screen protector. Honor can ship something better in future.
The back cover is fine though and looks good with phone
On my phone the screen protector is not applied properly. It is at a slight angle so there is a small gap on the top half between the protector and the edge of the screen. That makes a sliver of brighter screen; it looks a bit weird.
I've just noticed how dirty this screen protector gets. It seems to catch fingerprints into a dull grey film and it doesn't wipe easily. I will have to remove the thing.

I removed mine and i tell u the screen is much better without it. The original screen does not keep finger prints, it gradually fades away.
