Normally i am not a fan of these, but i may consider getting one and just keep it around when an emergency or something even though i already have a portable battery, i can carry this on the phone when really necessary ..
I noticed Morphie announced their battery case for the S6... price? wait for it.... $100 whopping dollars.
http://www.mophie.com/shop/samsung-devices/juice-pack-galaxy-s6
personally that is a bit extreme and no way I will spend that kind of money just to have laying around, and i doubt they will sell many at that price.. most of the other phone battery cases are less than half that. Zerolemon announced theirs, but as usual, no price or when it will be available.
Anyhow, i found a much cheaper option. $25 bucks which is on sale for preorders..

These cases are impractical by adding the unnecessary bulk at the bottom for the USB port. They should just use wireless charging
Love the honest comment by the seller: "The Kickstand is not so sturdy enough really, if you pull it out too much, it may broke"

as i mentioned, i would never have one of these on 24/7, only when really necessary when i need portability and don't want to lug around a powerbank.
It has always been interesting why some people are giving a lot of money for a product, S6 in this example, opposed to other brands or cheap knockoff versions, and do not want to invest in something that will protect the expensive product

I recently bought a samsung blaze, and love the phone. And now I'm looking to buy a nice protective case. I've narrowed it down to 3 cases:
http://www.power-skin.com/battery-cases/samsung/galaxy-s-blaze-4g.php
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-Samsung...188781?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2c6aca11ed
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLEAR-BLACK...158681?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4d07ab7419
Which one of these 3 cases would provide the best protection? Feel free to recomend a case, though i'm not looking to spend more than $10 with shipping.
Any help would be appreciated.
Of these three.. I would get the powerskin. I just saw you can get it for $5, so I bought one. There is a thread here about the powerskin case, so if you head over (maybe you already did) you can read what some folks have to say about it. I will be adding my 2 cents once I get mine
I don't think any of the three you selected would be superb in protection, so that's why I suggest the powerskin. If you want extreme protection - from drops, etc - get a ballistic or otterbox, although I'm not sure otter makes one for the blaze. I have a ballistic and when it's dropped 3-4 feet I'm not concerned at all

Wow those cases aren't really in my price limit. What about these two cases, which one seems better?

I got my T-Mobile d3o case used on eBay for $15. You can't find much better protection than that, and it is very comfy in the hand

Well unfortunately I can't give you the answer you are looking for. Coming from my exhibit, I tried to go the cheap route and ended up spending more money in the long run. I first started with a $4 'hard rubberized' case and the first one actually didn't even snap together. Had to return it - and had to pay for shipping to return it. Second one actually snapped together, but the first time I dropped it it cracked... and no longer held together. OK I thought, I will try another style of case. Bought a 'sleeve' style case (I think it's neoprene) for $3. When I got it I immediately realized that this one wasn't going to work as it didn't feel like it would protect my phone from anything. That was $10 that I no longer had and I still didn't have a case that would actually protect my phone from an accidental drop. I have kids, so I need something that will also protect those times where they pick up my phone (even though they know not to do so- but c'mon they're kids) and accidentally drop it.
You could spent $5 and get a case that actually does something besides protect the phone (the powerskin), but if you are looking for good protection my recommendation still stands with the ballistic. http://www.amazon.com/Ballistic-SG0...1356194932&sr=8-1&keywords=blaze+4g+ballistic. $17 shipped. I think if you are looking for good protection you can try one of those other ones, but you may end up spending more money overall in the long run.

i see a mophie case, anybody else probably getting one? (yes they have a edge version of the case)
what other companies makes cases with batteries?
i dont think that is a battery case... nothing more that an external pack shaped like the phone, and like with all the samsung accessories, it'll be overpriced. i can buy a 10,000mAh pack for $20-25. same with cases, too many good options out there at better prices.
And like in the past with samsung accessories, the phone will come out and the accessories will be nowhere to be found until months later, if at all..
Buy an anker. Better and cheaper I believe
There is supposed to be some snap on magnetic exta power pack/case thing direct from samsung.
Personally the S6 will have more than enough battery. If I really needed more I'd also get an external pack rather than carrying a much heavier phone all the time.
Hey guys,
I was looking at the Mophie Juice Pack for Samsung Galaxy S6 but it retails for at least $74.99 plus shipping and handling on Amazon. I've seen other cases that claim to supply the same amount (or more) battery life than the Mophie one, but they're... suspiciously cheap, some are $29.99 and some are even $19.99. So there are two things that I'm looking for in my external battery case:
1. At least 3,000 mAh
2. Protection from dropping the phone and it landing screen-side. I don't case about how easy the case scratches or whatever.
I find the best way to figure these out are just to ask people which battery case they use or have seen used. So I'll do it, which battery cases have you guys used, and what was their quality like? Did they protect your phone?
Personally, I love and recommend this case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...CY0R72CAW7Q&ref_=pd_ys_sf_s_2335752011_a2_5_p
It has a soft rubber feel, lowers the likelihood of dropping the phone. Battery life is excellent. I use it when traveling on business.
Last thought. It is ZeroLemon, one of the most trusted names in accessories.
I hope this helps.
thanks for the link

3 1/2 stars with over 100 reviews. I think that is pretty good for Amazon. Most of the reviews (44%) are 5 star, followed by 33% at 4 star.
The specified goal was long battery life....it gives me 2x the battery that I have without it.
It offers good protection and it reasonably priced.
Do you have an alternative to propose?

Mophie seems to be the better case, but boy is it overpriced.
I don't know how you guys like these thick and ugly cases. I'm sure it also adds a lot of weight to the phone.
I am also looking for one, but do not like any of those.
I'm about to get a morphie case for this device. Will give feedback when I get it.
Getting like 50% off it lol. Let's see how it is

How are you getting 50%?
I recently bought two of these assuming them to be the genuine Sony ones. The page claims they are and they even arrived in boxes that looked right.
They are Chinese fakes though. There are a few tell-tell signs like blurry box text and poor fitment.
Honestly, I wouldn't really mind if they actually did the job properly but they don't. Having now bought an official one from the Sony store (at double the price, sadly) the differences are notable. It's just a much better quality thing.
The fakes are much lighter plastic which doesn't feel solid when the phone is in it. The fit is too tight for the Z5 and would definitely scratch it after a few times slotting it in and out. The USB plug is poorly aligned so the phone doesn't lock on very easily. The rubber bottom designed to prevent slip is glued on so weakly that taking off the protective plastic pulls the rubber off!
There seem to be a few sellers on Amazon purporting to sell official Sony ones but, from what I can tell, they are all fakes. The clue is that they are selling them for less than half the price that Sony is.
If you want to take a chance on them, that's fine, but you should know what you're getting and it's NOT an official Sony product.
Hmm I'm a bit concerned now I'll ask my missus where she got mine from as the only bad I noticed was taking the protective of the non slip foam

I guess you were buying from the Marketplace and the seller is not directly Amazon. The advantage of Amazon is that you can easily return such products and you get your money back. It's impossible for Amazon to determine if sellers do ship the product they advertise. Maybe you need to look for one with a reasonable price and not the very cheap ones.

No it was direct from Amazon. They refunded me immediately, no problems there, just trying to save anyone else the time and effort. Trouble is, I didn't know how much they were supposed to be, to know these were cheap. Amazon was the first place I looked and they obviously appear to be genuine Sony.
Oh... that is something rare I think and never happened to me. But thanks for sharing this... I know it's sometimes a pain to get original accessories at a reasonable price avoiding replicas.
would you mind telling us which seller or maybe provide a link? I was actually about to purchase one last week.
This is the one I bought: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DK52-M...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
There are others which also look to be fakes too though, so be careful.
Compatibility question...
Is anyone using this stand with a TPU case on the phone?
I have this Ringke case (https://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Protector-Protection-Absorption-Technology/dp/B019773VE8/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1505221504&sr=1-1&keywords=B019773VE8)
Cheers!
I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask all of this, but here it goes:
I'm heavily considering an S5, especially since it is has some waterproofing, has an OLED screen, and many features that budget phones today do not have. Lifeproof also offers a case(albeit expensive) that makes it much more waterproof and 'drop-proof'. Would there be any similar cases that you would recommend, that increase waterproofing and make it drop proof?
However, I'm also pretty worried about the battery life. How much time can the stock 2800 mAh battery get you? I'm pretty sure the Lifeproof case won't work with really any extended battery.
And while I don't know the practicality of it, how necessary/cool is a wireless charging cover? I think it's a really cool thing for something as old as an S5, but I'm not too sure if it's worth the tradeoff(s). I have seen posts here saying that the wireless charging cover is somewhat compatible with the Lifeproof case, but inconvenient.
A final question, although not really an accessory question, is where should I get an S5 from? Will the popular ebay ones do for rooting? I need it unlocked though

Hello and welcome the s5 is a good choice to have and it can hold its own as for the waterproof case you could just get the life proof if it suits your needs but I personally don't have one that's water proof.for wireless charging it is good for over night or if your at work but the charge rate is slow so I would just get a long charging cable
For the battery I get about 5 to 6 hours screen on time it all depends on daily usage and what apps your using
And for buying a s5 I paid £40 for mine all working but the paint has started coming off the bezel if you can get one private of sites like shpock or Gumtree then you should get one cheap if not eBay or amazon then I bought a zagg invisible shield off eBay for £0.99p and a hard case for the same price
