[Completed] How to recover Memos from .enc files or google servers - XDA Assist

I have an issue with my LG G2 after Lollipop upgrade.
Prior to upgrade I did full backup using lg pc suite, started the update, but when it was finished the phone continuously gave "Unfortunately, Process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" error.
I tried deleting phone.apk data through setting>apps, but as it made no difference I finally had to do a factory reset. After that I transfered my media from PC using PC Suite, but I found out all my memos are deleted. Trying to use "restore" function in PC Suite made no difference.
Is there any way I can at least access my memos in the backup files? I found their folder), but it's full of .enc files which I cannot open.
Or, because Memos were regulary synced with my google account to access them there?
It would mean much to me.
Thank you in advance.

Hi.
Doesn't look like it. enc denotes encryption and they can't be accessed.
You can try posting in G2 Q/A section to see if they have better solution. You will need to sign up on forums for that.

[Q] how to recover deleted data from HTC One Mini

Hello everyone,
Hope this is the right place to post this kind of request. Have also searched for old posts, but couldn't really find a similar topic for the HTC One Mini.
So Yesterday my HTC One Mini went through an unexpected factory reset.
I'd like to recover photos/videos/contacts/emails that had never been backed up or synced, but I'm having an hard time finding the right procedure.
The phone has never been rooted, USB debugging has been allowed, Android version 4.4.2, HTC Sense 6.0, Software number 4.09.161.6, HTC SDK API 6.20, Build number 4.09.161.6 CL363588 release-Keys.
I've tried to use some softwares (Recova and Wondershare Data Recovery) I already used in the past to recover lost data from SD cards and usb sticks, but the phone doesn't appear on the list of available device inside those softwares. Under my computer, the phone appears as Multimedia Portable Device and I'm able to browse the folders.
I tried also Dr. Fone, but I'm unable to get past step 3 when it tries to get some Foxxcon Bluetooth driver.
Could you please suggest me a good way to recover the lost data?
Is there any way to connect the One Mini as a Mass Storage Device to a Win 7 PC?
Thanks a lot for your help!

[Completed] Problem on restore contacts from Kies3 after CM12

Hi everyone and thank you really a lot for your support! I really don't know who I can ask else about my problem..
You can blame me a bit for my mistakes.. but you may blame much more Samsung for their softwares, they are complicating our life.
I have a S4 mini and as beginner (for Android) I decided to upgrade it with CM12 and Lollipop 5.1, all worked fine but:
As I dis always with Nokia, confident that a backup manager from the brand will be the best way to backup and manage contacts in our PC, I installed the first manager it appear to me as "it", Kies 3.2. It worked because the previous FW was 4.2, it asked to upgrade to Smart Switch but I refused to do, I just needed save the contacts.. so wtf.
After upgrade Kies showed I need to upgrade to Smart Switch and Smart Switch showed that this phone is not compatible (????). Trying use Kies 2.6 (as it can open the contacts and export them on vcf) it can't read the file made by Kies 3.2.. and the spb file itself is encrypted/compressed for extract any information.
Now how can I restore contacts?? Smart Switch doesn't start without a phone connected (and by the way, I also don't know if it has a contact manager!), the phone with it doesn't work (maybe bcause it founds an unbelievable Lollipop on a S4 mini?), as i searched there are no android applications who can read spb or other external softwares..
How could I extract the contact names from this .spb now?
Any chance to make Smart Switch see the phone?
Thank you a lot!

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble. We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-mini/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Once you retrieve your contacts (or create a new contacts list), you should probably routinely save them as part of your Google or Samsung accounts instead of relying on Kies.
Good luck!
Thank you, I wrote there!

How to recover Note Pad files

Hello,
I'm wondering whether there is a way to recover my notes from a back up I made on my PC.
So basically I messed up my phone after deleting some apps once I rooted it, luckily I was able to do a local update and to restore the phone's normal functions.
I backed up every file from the internal memory onto my PC but when I look into these files I couldn't find anything related (I searched with keywords and manually searched every map).
Therefore I think these files are encrypted or hidden in some sort of way so that I'm not able to access -or see them.
I'm using the Huawei Ascend G6-U10 and I updated it with Andriod 4.4.2 + EMUI 3.0 (the same version before I messed up with the root).
Will my notes be lost forever or can someone help me with my problem?
Thanks in advance,
TS

Inquiry on recovering deleted photos / videos on T-mobile Galaxy S7

Hey guys,
I am freaking out because I have lost over 900 photos and videos on my T-mobile Galaxy s7 trying to move media from my phone memory to a micro SD card. So far I have installed GT Recovery on my Win10 laptop and have attempted to recover the files using this software, but ultimately I get to the point where the software is attempting to Root my s7, but fails. Can someone please help me figure out a way to get this to work; should I root the phone another way in order for GT Recovery to do its job?? What I've done so far:
-unlocked "Developer Options"
- changed "OEM unlock" to on
Any recommendations would help greatly. I have some tech experience, but I admit not enough with android devices specifically. Is there another path I should be taking? Should I root the phone and continue with GT Recovery? Any information would help.
You can also try using Recuva on your PC to try and access and recover photos.
I wonder if you have backup your photos and videos before you deleted them. Check out it in Google Drive first. If yes, then you recover them easily. But if no, it would be a little difficult to get those deleted photos back to your T-mobile Galaxy S7 or you can try the FORecovery tool. As you know, deleted does mean that your files are erased from your phone invisibly, however, they still exist inside your phone. So, it's possible to recover them with the help of the data recovery toolkit.
More detailed guide about how to recover deleted photos/videos on Galaxy S7. Hope this can help you out.
