[Q] CWM 6.0.5.1 Help - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just rooted my phone flashed the recovery successfully. But each time I click on reboot system now in CWM it shows root access possibly lost fix it yes/no... Every time I clicked on yes and check my root is still there so that's fine. But when reboot to again to CWM and exit, it asks me again ... what is the possible solution for it
________________________________________________
root access possibly lost.... fix?
This cannot be undone
No
Yes - Fix root (System/xbin/su)

How to fix? What to do? I made a tutorial on how I rooted my mate but this is the thing that's preventing me to post it.

No, that's that. But does not hurt.

I want Indian KDZ file to go back to stock rom. Can you please give me that?
Or is it safe to flash some other country's kdz file if my model number i.e. D83810a is same as the version mentioned in the kdz file?
Easy fix
Just install superuser and choose full unroot.

Well I had a update and it wouldn't accept. I was getting a error, so I downloaded superuser, did a full unroot, then checked for a update, it took about 5 min, then after I was done I used towel root and rooted again.

Due to unlocked bootloader you can not update via update center, only you can update apps like walkman etc,not the system update.

Does it really help with rooting? Because there's no use of updating the phone if there's no root option available. Plz confirm bro. I have already installed using flashtool. And I can't root. Have you got a rooted d2203 4.4.4??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3012248

Hello uday... The thing is i tried this method. There's this kernel on this method BOOT_D2203_4.4.2.img which is for 4.4.2. I tried installing this kernel. It installed but my phone was bricked. Stuck at sony logo and won't boot. I have used this method one month ago when my device was on firmware 4.4.2. But now it's on firmware 4.4.4 that's the difference. I hope you understood what I'm trying to say. Basically I'm looking for Root kernel for the LTE variant with 4.4.4 installed (D2203) And my bootloader is already unlocked as I installed the kernel mentioned in that post a month ago. Help me if you can plz.

i know whats wrong with you . same thing happened to me when i upgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 . but now its ok .
you have to flash the 4.4.2 kernel ( as it has cwm in it)
and use this to flash supersu..
then you dont have to boot your phone you have to goto advance>power off > fix root=yes .
then you have to use your ftf file of 4.4.4 i.e you have downloaded from xperifirm.
select firmware in flashtool . and remove tick from cache and data in wipe section and in exclude section mark all except kernel.( as in the attached image)
and connect your phone in flash mode and flash it.
phone will boot normally with root.

Totally Worked... Thanks a ton bro. Surely gonna hit your thanks button. Maybe you should post this method which would help dozens of more people like me.
My phone is rooted now but I' facing another problem. For example if I try to install xposed framework... It fails with showing the error "mount permission denied (are you root?)" But phone is totally rooted I checked via root checker. I guess the mount permissions are not -rw. And also I'm not able to uninstall bloatware from link2sd. That never happened before. Plz let me know if any solution available. Thanks.

I followed these steps. After this xposed framework gets installed and reboots too but the modules are not working. Any one them. I installed all the modules and enabled them in xposed installer and also rebooted like many times but still none of them work. And also I'm still not able to uninstall the bloatware. But busybox and xposed installer got installed without any wrror now. What could be the possible cause?

Sir! Is there a big difference between the 4.4.2 and the 4.4.4? How's your experience so far?
Nothing changed. Absolutely the same. But in 4.4.2 my phone didn't support the themes properly but in this one it does.. so I'm cool with it. Too sad we won't be getting lollipop update anytime soon.

Thank you vangeodee, I have a couple of questions:
1- Will this process wipe all my data and external apps , so I have to back up first ?
2- Suppose I could install the flash KDZ, can I unroot then or it will install the old ROM from the begining ?

Depends, you can either do a normal flash of your current ROM or you could do a CSE flash that would wipe everything.
Here's a rundown:
1.) Normal Flash - flashes stock stuff on top of whatever is running on your phone at the moment. I did this after I installed MLKernel which, unfortunately broke my WiFi and Camera so I had to flash back to stock. I tried this option first because I didn't want to redownload/install everything. Surely enough, I restored stock kernel and got unrooted, but the WiFi and Camera were still broken.
So if you're looking to just remove root and not lose anything, this is what you'd want to choose. Look for the correct KDZ for the current stock ROM you are on. Flash it wrong, and I can't guarantee anything.
2.) CSE Flash - nothing much to write about. Cleans the entire 16/32GB of your internal. that includes apps, files, pictures, documents or anything really that's stored on internal storage. If you've got Titanium backups in internal, well kiss those goodbye after CSE flash.
Or you can direct in Superuser app unroot.

Means you're having exactly the same problem I had.I tried different ways and techniques to fix it but none worked. Then finally I fixed it by just flashing my device's stock firmware. But still there may be another simpler fix for your particular device so just try googling around the internet, mentioning your device and its problem, if nothing works then just flash it's stock firmware. But just in case you don't know how to, just take it to the nearest Samsung service centre and hopefully the guys there will flash its stock firmware. Just for your information, before I manually tried flashed the stock firmware, I also did take my device to a service centre first, but they found out it was rooted and they said they couldn't fix it and they said that the only way it was to replace its motherboard, which costs more than half the phone's total price. But when I took it home I finally decided to flash the firmware manually and thus, the device is up and running again.

Hi.
If someone want to root this phone Allview P7 Pro you can do it by flashing TWRP and then SuperSU.
Here is the link for TWRP: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3-CwjCz7AuhdmRCR01TcHZvWkU/view?usp=drivesdk
You need to flash this with Sp flash tool http://spflashtool.com then from TWRP install Super Su https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133 and reboot.
I've rooted mine.
Good luck.
Thanks. Can I link this post in another forum? Cuz some other ppl would like to root their devices too..

First of all. The download the required files.
- TWRP Recovery
-Super SU
-SP Flash Tool
1) On your PC open up the Flash Tool, on the scatter select the file you have downloaded before.
(Before you proceed make sure you have enabled the Developer options by going to Settings -> About Phone -> And click the Build number until you see a little box saying that "You are now a developer". Now go back and head to advanced settings and go all the way down, where you'll see the Developer Options, go in, look for USB Debugging and turn it on.)
2)Move the Super SU zip file to your phone or SD card.
3) Now turn off your phone, click Download and connect your phone via USB cable and the process should start. A window should pop up saying Download Complete, and click OK.
4)Now disconnect your phone, press the Volume up button then the Power button until the screen lights up, then release it. The recovery should start up.
5)Now click Install and navigate to the file. The install and the interface is pretty simple so you won't have problems during it. After the installation is completed, click Reboot System and wait until the phone start up. Done!
Pls tell us if you don't understand something. (Sorry if I made a grammar mistake, but English is not my main language)
GOOD LUCK!
Nice!!!

I FINALLY GOT IT WORKING!!!!
For those who think that their phone got bricked, listen 'ere.
After i installed TWRP phone stopped booting, it got in bootloop (i was able to get in recovery)
If this happens to you to, just install SuperSU (the exact version that is on the first page, first reply), it installs another boot image that will work. Your phone should boot properly now ( it might take up to 5 minutes to first boot, it happend to me, i got worried but it was alright).
Thank you so much, now i can finally do WHATEVER I WANT with my phone.
