will we get Kitkat for xperia j is anybody develop the rom?i still using xperia j its a great phone just need more respect
Forget about it.
Nobody's working on kitkat for tamsui devices, time to move on and get a different phone if you want newer system.
No money for new device..
What if we donate a developer to fix the bugs for kitkat?

You''d better use this money you want to donate to save up for new phone, good android devices aren't that expensive anymore.
Although do what you want, all devs that were here left. If someone would come and try to fix the bugs, it would be great.
Wrong place for such thread. Omg people learn how to post things on forums...

Shameless. See post here

Should you at least give credits to the guy who first found this?
Meanwhile your word about the only current available CM10 for Xperia J is way too unfair and rude. Devs never charge you for a penny and work too hard to fix bugs. The whole XDA forum is an experiment and that is why it is so much fun. What is boring is copying ideas from others and double post as if it is your own.

It seems like a stunt to quickly get more 'thanks'
Devs can only improve custom roms if users test them. Stop advising people to stay away from developers works, or you might just stop all development on your device.

c this threaddude.....see what he has posted!! he has told the members not to use that method(its my first post).....how will u feel if anyone has done that to you, though u only help members volunteerly??
Thread moved and closed. You already have a root thread here so not sure why you're making another and this is clearly trying to get one back on adfad666 as he told people not to use the version you posted not the version he posted so you must not have read the OP properly. In future please understand Development is for work you've made to share with the community so if you didn't make it, don't post it there.
Thanks

hey ace+'s

porting is later but you should know to cook rom from kitchen
I thought S7500's was the same case as S5830's regarding the "L" thing...
In S5830L it means it's distributed in Latin America, but hardware is the same as S5830. The official CM for Galaxy Ace (cooper) is for S5830. I still have S5830L, installed CM on it and it worked. Only thing is, it changed the device name from S5830L to S5830. And also I asked that because since I live in Latin America the only Ace Plus I can get is S7500L.
Are you actually porting from Xperia instead of building?
And where can I find the S7500L kernel repository you ask?
thats change in build.prop u can make again L
and without kernel mods it may work on ur mob
So, if this ends working all, can you make one for S7500L? Or can I just use the current one one for L?

hey i said 100 times im releasing a rom based like xperia
you get me huuuh
its not cm10
cm10 later will take much time
update im taking a risk im gonna create a kernel that has posiibility to boot as well as brick
will update again in 2days
Since Mini 2 is running on the same chip, the kernel for Mini 2 is also compatible with Ace Plus. I just needs an updated defconfig.
Someone on Ace Plus do:
Code:
adb pull /proc/config.gz
Upload the file somewhere and post the link here. I will make a defconfig so you can build kernel.
ohh thanx bro
wait for 2 days

noo
What "official sources" do you need in order for CM10 kernel to support overclocking? (I could use my time to look for it since I'm just a useless user....)
That'd be an almost imperative feature, and if you say "make it yourself and f*** off", well, sorry for not being developers like you (registration on this site should be restricted to dev-only...); or also that's why you *are* the devs and are announcing this possible work so we are indeed allowed to expect things from you...
Or, sorry for not being A D U L T devs like you. I can't express what I think about most of adults (most, not all) here because of the forum rules......
Thanks.

well overclocking is possible
we will look into it later first we are trying making kernel stable
and control yoour self
he asked will the 1st versio support oc
thats not possible because we want to boot perfectly (thats possible when we make a kernel with no tweaks and few mods)
Hello, the title shows you most things but I probably ought to expand. I've had my z1 for a bit and have been using Android for a long time, I have never rooted or installed cyanogenmod but say the oppo phone and finally I've decided i want in. Can someone find me a suitable one with a very noob friendly tone
Thanks alot
Callum
P. S. Any kernel numbers etc. you may need I can add if asked but to be honest I don't know what you need
Hi,
You can find all you need for your devices it's here => SONY XPERIA Z1 FORUM
and particurarly this thread => Root, Backup TA, Unlock bootloader and more! The ultimate Xperia Z1 guide
and finally, this Cyanogen rom => {Z1}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM11 - Android 4.4 - FreeXperia Project
Good luck
Unstable!?

It doesn't seem very stable. Not something I want to risk n my daily driver or am I paranoid?
No, this rom is in development that's wahy it seems not really stable.
The best you can do it's to go to both of Z1 Android Development and Z1 Original Android Development, read and choose one of these roms.
I cannot tell you if this rom is best than the other, because you must read, and read before to select and try a rom
Don't forget you need to read with attention my second link which is really important for rooting your device etc... and don't ne afraid, it's easy :good:

Also, what's the difference between the rooting and cyanogenmod. I have seen rooting before but never really seemed good, I've seen cyanogenmod before but now I'm confused between the two
You need to be root if you want to flash a custom rom like cyanogen rom.
If you, want to know more about cyanogen go here => http://www.cyanogenmod.org

I understand that the question I am about to make is rather stupid, but here goes anyways.
Is there any chance that we will see the new, yet to be released, Android L on our devices(i.e. Miro, Tipo, E and J)?
I wish to know what do developers think of this and if you know how what are the basic requirements for Android L, since the developer`s preview version is already out?
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-miro/
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-tipo/
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-j/
Scroll down to the bottom and find the android version overview. The Xperia E (Dual) didn't have this section, some don't. But I am assuming that the Tipo Dual, the E and the E Dual will not be upgraded past their current versions. You'll be lucky if you see developers build it for these devices.

I completely understand that there will be no official upgrade for all these devices. Its just that I am asking if the guys around these forums will be able to port the new Android L (probably will be Lollipop) on these devices.
Thanks for the reply!
The guys here are doing CM11.Try it if you want but it is stil in alpha stage.I dont think that we will see Android L for our devices but if we can run 4.4.3 with no problem (lag free and working camera ) that is going to be great.
Oh, we can if the devs build it... or if we becomes the devs and build it! (I personally prefer the second option, cause XDA, I think, is a developer site and we'd be crappy members if we're on a developer forum and can't make anything )
No disrespect intended.
It would be cool to see L on our devices.
Also remember that it's still a dev preview, we probably have to wait for google to release this along with a new nexus.
I'm sure someone will be curious enough to try porting it, but I'm also sure it won't be soon, probably not even in this year.
IMO I'd prefer devs finish one project, then move to another one.
Guys,
Guys,
Don't take me hope losing for you
This coulde be impossible
J=SingleCore 1.0Ghz Cortex A5+Adreno 200=Sluggish perofrmance on all roms (including stock)
Tipo,Miro,Nahnu are worst than jlo
So,I think that CM11 is enough (As its still in alpha stage)
Please, Guys Don't take that offensively
Good Luck
hello XE users... i am the guy who made the noz and xboost roms for xperia E series. right now i do not own the device and won't be able to do any more developments for that device.but still i am pretty sure there are many other skilled people working on it. but if someone needs any of my works fully or partially , u can use it for sure.but give me proper credits too...
anyway thank you all for supporting me and my works....around 6000 downloads totally....sorry if i didn't reply for your private message of doubts...just ask others...afterall that's how xda works...
