It doesn't seem very stable. Not something I want to risk n my daily driver or am I paranoid?

No, this rom is in development that's wahy it seems not really stable.
The best you can do it's to go to both of Z1 Android Development and Z1 Original Android Development, read and choose one of these roms.
I cannot tell you if this rom is best than the other, because you must read, and read before to select and try a rom
Don't forget you need to read with attention my second link which is really important for rooting your device etc... and don't ne afraid, it's easy :good:

Also, what's the difference between the rooting and cyanogenmod. I have seen rooting before but never really seemed good, I've seen cyanogenmod before but now I'm confused between the two

You need to be root if you want to flash a custom rom like cyanogen rom.
If you, want to know more about cyanogen go here => http://www.cyanogenmod.org

[Q] Best ROM for Miro (rooted and bootloader unlocked) - is it even possible?

Not so long ago I was total noob for Android, few posts later and nothing has changed :victory: JK off course, the truth is that I learned some basic stuff (rooting, unlocking bootloader, difference between SU and regular user, customization and CWM etc.) and all that thanks to you guys - god bless YouTube, inetrnet and XDA developers! :highfive:
Now the probing questions:
1. Is it possible to flash custom ROM's to Miro with bootloader locked (currently stock)?
2. Which one would suit me best (gaming and/or performance is a MUST!)?
3. What to install mod other then CWM (cuzz it's not supported by phone)?
Thx guys, I'll make sure to thank each and every one of y'all!
1. Yes u can always use stock based roms without unlocking.
2. My personal opinion is that The ultrabeast rom has great gaming performance. Im using it currently.
3. Didn't get your question.

In order to flash the ROM onto device I need some Mod and ClokWork Mod is not supported by Miro (for fastboot etc.) so which one should I choose?
Is there any way u could send me a download link and instructions for that ROM?
So many question marks....
Who told you that cwm does not work for miro? It works very well.
There is a separate thread for that.did you try to search? Just go to the android development section. There you will find both cwm and twrp. Install whatever you want. I prefer cwm.
And you will also find the rom alongwith instructions there only.

Do not post questions which indicates "Which is the BEST ROM" or such issues. It's strictly against the XDA Rules.
The point of the forum is try out different ROMs available in the development section. So browse around and try and see it yourself.

[Completed] [Q] where can i find mod/tweaks ?

hi guys i'm pretty new to android, i've switched from ios lately.
And my question is that on ios when we jailbreak our iPhones we have something called Cydia where we can install all the crazy stuff (system tweaks, apps that can't be published on the appstore, themes, and a lot of other things).
So i was wondering where can i find something similar to that on android. Is there an app or a list or a thread on xda where can i read the tweak description and install it?
thanks in advance
First of all, welcome to the Android world. In order to better assist you a bit more information is needed. What Device ? What Android version ? What Recovery ? What carrier ? Rooted / Non-Rooted ?
my phone is sony xperia z2 running kitkat 4.4.2 and it's unlocked.
it is not rooted and i haven't installed a custom recovery yet but if i need to do so i don't have a problem.
thanks for the welcome.
The links below should get you going in the right direction. The first link is more of a General get to know Android terms, and such. The second is on how to Flash a Rom, and Root. Again general info. The last two are the Specific Forum for your device, and the Section to look for Roms. I would highly advice spending some time reading, and acquainting yourself with the processes, and terminology before proceeding. Best of luck .

Hmm ... is xda-developers.com an "official site" in your opinion?
Then have a look here: Xperia E Official Thread [ROMS, MODS, ROOT, FTFS, HOW TO].
If you have more questions about your device and flashing custom ROMs to it, please ask in the Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
P.S.: I would never recommend to flash a ROM of another device ... risk of bricking it is very high IMO.

Well by official sites I mean official websites of Custom Rom dovelopers like cyanogenmod etc..
I searched many websites but I didn't find Xperia E Custom Rom there..
Unofficial Roms are having a lot of bugs like Camera, video palyer not working etc..So I can't use these..

Well ... you should ask in your device's sepcific forum - I linked the Q&A forum in my previous answer.
IMO most stable ROM is the stock firmware from the manufacturer itself.
In every custom ROM there may be some "bugs", as the devs do not always have access to the needed drivers/files/sources ... regardless if it's an official custom ROM version or an unofficial one.

[Completed] [Q] Xperia S Lollipop ROM recommendation

Hi there
I recently got an old Xperia S from a friend of mine, which I would like to revive and upgrade to Lollipop. I do not need any files on the phone and think that I wont be needing the DRM files neither. What I need is root access and a good ROM (that's stable and supports all special features of the Xperia S).
I've stumbled upon these:
* http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/s-development/rom-naosprom-xperia-s-t2958516
* http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/s-development/pure-aosp-lollipop-t2940839
My question now, as I'm pretty darn new to the Android world, is: Do these ROMs fit my needs? If yes, which one should I go for?; and if not, what other ROMs could I use?
Thanks in advance
I've been going with the first one, the nAOSP 5.1 ROM. Flashing and everything worked out just fine, but my wifi isn't working. I see the available networks and am able to enter my credentials but after that it just switches between "authenticating" and "connection beeing established". Did I miss out on anything here? What's my mistake?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I think the best idea would be to have a quick look through the last ten pages in the ROM thread and the q&a thread for the ROM to see is anyone else is reporting the same issue. That way you can be sure that the developers are aware and are working on the problem. If nobody else is reporting it then it's probably a good idea to report it yourself.

[Completed] Need help with Xperia SP

Hello
I have a Sony Xperia SP.
C5302
Android Version 4.3
Build Number 12.1.A.1.205
I have not rooted or unlocked bootloader or anything.
Its been over a year now since i bought it so the warranty is over.
My phone lags a lot although i have just a couple of apps in it.
I want to try a new rom with better ram management ,better battery performance and it should be smooth.
I dont have any experience in rooting or roms or any other stuff.
Please suggest some roms for my phone also guide to the basic rooting and unlocking bootloader article or thread.
I also read something about losing Bravia Engine ,DRM keys, Gracenote integration if i root or unlock my bootloader.I'd like to know more about it.
Requirements for a rom:
Smooth performance
Better battery
Better ram management
Thanks in advance.
