I understand that the question I am about to make is rather stupid, but here goes anyways.
Is there any chance that we will see the new, yet to be released, Android L on our devices(i.e. Miro, Tipo, E and J)?
I wish to know what do developers think of this and if you know how what are the basic requirements for Android L, since the developer`s preview version is already out?

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-tipo/
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-j/
Scroll down to the bottom and find the android version overview. The Xperia E (Dual) didn't have this section, some don't. But I am assuming that the Tipo Dual, the E and the E Dual will not be upgraded past their current versions. You'll be lucky if you see developers build it for these devices.

I completely understand that there will be no official upgrade for all these devices. Its just that I am asking if the guys around these forums will be able to port the new Android L (probably will be Lollipop) on these devices.
Thanks for the reply!
The guys here are doing CM11.Try it if you want but it is stil in alpha stage.I dont think that we will see Android L for our devices but if we can run 4.4.3 with no problem (lag free and working camera ) that is going to be great.
Oh, we can if the devs build it... or if we becomes the devs and build it! (I personally prefer the second option, cause XDA, I think, is a developer site and we'd be crappy members if we're on a developer forum and can't make anything )
No disrespect intended.
It would be cool to see L on our devices.
Also remember that it's still a dev preview, we probably have to wait for google to release this along with a new nexus.
I'm sure someone will be curious enough to try porting it, but I'm also sure it won't be soon, probably not even in this year.
IMO I'd prefer devs finish one project, then move to another one.
Guys,
Guys,
Don't take me hope losing for you
This coulde be impossible
J=SingleCore 1.0Ghz Cortex A5+Adreno 200=Sluggish perofrmance on all roms (including stock)
Tipo,Miro,Nahnu are worst than jlo
So,I think that CM11 is enough (As its still in alpha stage)
Please, Guys Don't take that offensively
Good Luck

It doesn't seem very stable. Not something I want to risk n my daily driver or am I paranoid?
No, this rom is in development that's wahy it seems not really stable.
The best you can do it's to go to both of Z1 Android Development and Z1 Original Android Development, read and choose one of these roms.
I cannot tell you if this rom is best than the other, because you must read, and read before to select and try a rom
Don't forget you need to read with attention my second link which is really important for rooting your device etc... and don't ne afraid, it's easy :good:

Also, what's the difference between the rooting and cyanogenmod. I have seen rooting before but never really seemed good, I've seen cyanogenmod before but now I'm confused between the two
You need to be root if you want to flash a custom rom like cyanogen rom.
If you, want to know more about cyanogen go here => http://www.cyanogenmod.org

Hi to all! I wonder if someone can make a port of the android L preview of the nexus for our device: is it possible?
No need. Better wait a while for full open source version
BTW wrong section
It's will be useless, because in less one month we will have official by cm
Some people tried, but it wasn't possible. Our kernel relies too heavy on CAF, that's why it won't work. We would need a clean AOSP kernel for the developer preview, which is not worth the work because we will get L some time late next month hopefully.
Next time, take this question to the Q/A section. There's also a thread in general that was working on this, but it dropped due to a bad AOSP kernel source from OnePlus
thanks to everybody, and sorry for the wrong section!
I'm not a newbie, i just made confusion with tapatalk :silly:
will we get Kitkat for xperia j is anybody develop the rom?i still using xperia j its a great phone just need more respect
Forget about it.
Nobody's working on kitkat for tamsui devices, time to move on and get a different phone if you want newer system.
No money for new device..
What if we donate a developer to fix the bugs for kitkat?

You''d better use this money you want to donate to save up for new phone, good android devices aren't that expensive anymore.
Although do what you want, all devs that were here left. If someone would come and try to fix the bugs, it would be great.
Wrong place for such thread. Omg people learn how to post things on forums...
Hi all!
I have to ask this, I have searched for days and days over, buThe all in vain
I want to upgrade to lollipop, but it seems as if I can not do that. So to either douse the my passionate flames, or to spice them up a little, I would like to ask you all;
Is there, or will there be any upgrades for Xperia M2 Aqua? They can be something like AOSP.
Also, I would like to ask one more thing;
Would it be possible for someone, if they have a working build on his/her phone, to possibly upload it or share it? It would make my day!
Thank you for reading this and consider this as real questions and request
Sincerely
Anders
I asking this because I have tried the "Eagle" build on my D2403, but it ain't working, it won't start, only vibrates and then turns off right away.
So I decided to read about codenames, and it seems like m2 Aqua (D2403) got the codename "Seahawk". I would like anyone of you to confirm if this is true or not?
And now I will go back to follow this thread as I really do want to try Lollipop

Kind of "fun" how this thread have over 100 views, yet no answer what so ever.
Some research, and in my build.prop it mention both eagle and Seahawk for this phone.
So which one is it, or is it a bit of both?
And there will be no official upgrade to m2 aqua (D2403).
But I have yet no answer to as to why the Eagle build for Lollipop is not working on my phone.
And this have raised another question;
Can a kernel to 4.4.4 work with 5.0 or does it have to be tailored for 5.0?
Edit:
I should mention that I have had a bad day and lost my temper a bit, and if anyone take the first part in a bad way, I am sorry!
I should also mention that I have tried AOSP android Eagle build, and Unofficial CM12.1 build from the same site. Fxpblog or something like that.

Even if this thread has 100 views, what does it mean? It could mean a lot of this but the most accurate ones would be that either :
This forum is for eagle and these 100 views are the users of the eagle and not seahawk so they are allowed to not know the answer for your questions. Second thing, even if theres some views of people that have seahawk, they may not know the answers for your questions (maybe they are not rooted, or they never tried a custom ROM, that's just two causes). Also questions like this repeats over and over again so either the users or the devs don't want to repeat themselves. Even if a Dev would reply here, he'd probably tell you to search the forum first.
And now, I can't answer your questions myself because I own the eagle not seahawk, but from experience I can tell that it's not a good idea to flash a ROM for specific phone onto another phone (even if m2 and m2 aqua are theoretically the same) because it may end up with a bootloop etc. Now if it is possible to cross flash the ROM, than I would say that you missed some point of the procedure you should have taken to flash lp on the aqua, the most frequent cause of the bootloops are improperly flashed ROMs. Now, by this I mean you could have forgotten to wipe the phone, or wipe cache memory. Don't hate me for what I said, because I'm really not sure how to answer your questions. Peace

Hey, im looking for custom rom for my device (Sony Xperia XA F311) for a long time now. I have found a few websites on google, but they were actually useless. But today (09.01.2019) i have found this video : "Android 9.0 P ROM for Sony Xperia XA [Compatible 100%]" on YouTube.
And im not sure if it isn't fake. When you open the download link it says " Android8.0Oreo Rom". And that is why i do not trust it. But i can't find anything else, this device is just forsaken...I would be very grateful if anyone her could tell me if it's not a fake one ,or perhaps show me a new one and eventually guide me to the "treasure". Im not planing to change my device any soon because of lack of money
Thanks to everyone who is willing to help me with my problem.
Daniel
Hi @Ciasiu, sorry but it's a big fake. No Oreo or Pie roms for XA.
Well... Defintly not what i wanted to hear, but reason for me to stop looking for it. Thank you very much. Appreciate that.
