Tablet Dicra TAB719

Hello, I've a Dicra Tab719. I had problems with wifi (unstable) so I installed cm10 but wifi stopped working completely and when the screen turned off for a few time it didn't turn on again and I had to force reboot :/
Now I reinstalled the original rom (not quite, i cannot find the original, i had to install the Tab710 stock rom instead), but the problems are still there.
So the problems are:
- wifi doesn't start. I switch wifi on but it doesn't start and it switch back off
- the screen, after a while that is on sleep, doesn't turn on
I'm mainly interested in the wifi problem, it's useless without a connection (it has no 3G module).
Any idea? Thanks in advance everybody!

[Q] Wi-Fi connectivity issues

Hey guys,
I'm having some issues with my Wi-Fi connectivity on my N5 and it's freaking me out! :crying:
When I'm trying to connect to my home network, the Wi-Fi icon is getting orange after some random time.
Some times it gets back to white, some times it's not.
I know its a known issue but nothing seems to fix it.
I tried everything - reboot my phone, reboot my router, reboot into safe mode, forget the network and connect again, toggle into airplane mode and back, change Wi-Fi settings to connect only to 2.4 GHz, avoid poor connections, update my router firmware.
NOTHING worked!
The only thing I haven't tried yet is factory reset but I read some people saying it didn't help them either.
Only turning Wi-Fi off and than on again makes it "white" again for some other random time.
I'm running stock everything on a rooted device with Android 4.4.4 build KTU84P.
My Wi-Fi is working great with other devices in the network including a Nexus 7 2012 and some laptops.
And it seems that my Nexus 5 is connecting fine to other Wi-Fi networks.
It worked fine in the past and I think it all went wrong when I replaced my Modem.
Any ideas what else can I try?
Do you think maybe the Lollipop update will fix this annoying issue?
Thanks!
Forgot to mention (I guess it is obvious) - I can't connect to any website or run any network connected app when I'm "orange" (I know it means I'm not connected to google services).
Tried also to change my Wi-Fi channel. still not working.
Doesn't anyone have an idea what is wrong here?
This is really frustrating ... :crying:
Well, I'm kind of talking to myself here, but in case someone else is facing this annoying issue, here is what fixed it for me eventually:
Configure a static IP to my phone in the router configurations ! :victory:
Before that, I also tried to disable Wi-Fi optimization in the phone Wi-Fi settings, buy it didn't seem to help.

6.0 Wifi slow to connect using quick settings tile

Hi all,
I installed the release Marshmallow factory image yesterday - MRA58K - userdata and cache wiped. I've got a very frustrating Wifi problem which wasn't present in Lollipop - connecting to Wifi via the quick settings tile is really slow.
If I toggle Wifi off and on again via the quick settings tile it takes anything between 10-15 seconds for the wifi connection to re-establish.
If I toggle Wifi off and on from the Settings --> Wifi menu the wifi connection is re-established almost instantly as expected.
Both toggle methods were almost instant in LMY48M connecting to the same router/wireless network.
I've tried various combinations of advanced wifi options, i.e. different frequency bands options (my network is 2.4ghz, so have tried 2.4ghz and automatic), network notification toggled on/off, have tried with mobile data enabled/disabled - same behavior.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I've opened the following bug on the android bug tracker - I'd be grateful if people could comment/star this if it affects them :good:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=188806
Will root later on to see if logcat shows anything.
Cheers,
Dave.
Yeah mine is doing that same too.
And During that update I didn't wipe data.
Glad to hear it isn't just me. I actually use Better Wifi On/Off to turn wifi on/off with the screen and it does the same thing as the quick settings tile - takes 10-15 seconds to reconnect. Most annoying - I'm used to picking up my phone and having wifi working by the time I've put the unlock pattern in
Feel free to star the issue on the bug tracker...
Have the same issue though it takes more like 6 to 10 seconds to connect.
Edit: now when i think about it i don't think it's a bug. It only turns on when there's an established connection. It takes time for the DHCP to give out a new ip-adress to the phone.
Stupid google.
Sent from Pure Nexus 5
yeah its a bug.
i reported that on dev preview 3 thread also, along with other users. But in the preview it was even worse i think
I have got a workaround of sorts... If I go to location settings and enable WiFi scanning from the 3 dot menu, WiFi connects instantly using the quick setting tile. I've updated the google bug tracker, and the bug is at least assigned to an engineer now.
I'd prefer not to have WiFi scanning enabled though[emoji4]

if you do so you will get wifi battery drain bug ( or wrong battery statistics )
here's my thered about it.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/guys-call-wifi-battery-drain-6-0-t3219870
i'm also facing WiFi slow to connect bug since yesterday and i wrote it in my OP but no one replied about it so i thought i'm the only one ..glad you reported it to google
Edit: i also faced critical bug of No sound at all and reported here if anyone catch-up with it plz take bug report and upload here
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=189194
btw it seems Google put scavenger hunt for bugs in marshmallow all are related to one another
Same here, WiFi takes long to connect via quick settings (WiFi scanning is off).
Anyone without this problem or is it affecting everyone?
Glad I found this thread. I thought it was just me. WiFi connects in a split second if I turn it on inside Settings/WiFi, but the toggle takes at least 10 seconds. I'm using a static IP, too, and I wiped my device before flashing 6.0. Hopefully the reported bug will receive priority attention. Ugh, Google, really?! It's the same on my Nexus 9.
The 6.0.1-MMB29K update fixed the WiFi toggle bug on my Nexus 5. Happy happy happy!
(Haven't updated the N9 yet.)
You're lucky you have 6.0.1! I'm on a Moto X Play and the problem still persists u less I enable the Scanning toggle in Location settings. Lucky for me I have a big battery so this doesn't really faze me too much.
I'm glad it's fixed in 6.0.1. This is true even without the Location scanning on?
Thanks for creating this thread, Dave. Glad to see I hadn't messed something up in my system settings.

Jiayu G4s Phone loses Internet connection after a few minutes of inactivity

Hello,
I am currently having an issue with my phone where after a few minutes of inactivity, my phones loses internet connectivity
Wifi signal and connection remains ok. I can browse to the router webpage on the phone browser
To resolve the internet connectivity issue I have to disable wifi and re enable again to reconnect
After a few minutes of inactivity the issues happens again
Phone Model:
Jiayu G4s
Things I tried to resolve the issue without success are:-
- Disable power saving features of wifi
- Flash the phone completely (format + install different ROMs)
- Setting fixed Ip
- trying to access website via ip instead of DNS
Grateful if someone can help me resolve this issue, I am out of ideas
The closest thing I found on the net to my issue is from this thread for a different device:-

MT7-L09, B522: WiFi losing signal when screen is turned off

I've recently installed Marshmallow on my Mate 7 using the full B522 package.
However, I have a lot of issues when it comes to wifi connectivity, with them being:
* Wifi loses signal when screen is turned off
* Wifi is slow or does not work at all until I disable and re-enable it
Has anyone else had similar issues and knows how to fix them? I tried flashing B522 again, but that didn't solve the problems.

yes, I have.
it would become slow.
I've been told in other thread to factory reset it after the upgrade.
I'm doing it right now.. so i'll tell you of my results in a few days..
Have you guys enabled WiFi in standby mode? For me it was disabled by default, maybe it fixes your problem.
Wifi in standby is enabled, yeah.
I got it to work temporarily by going into Advanced Settings -> Backup & Restore -> Reset Network settings
But whenever I restart the phone the issues are back. It's definitely not my router because it worked just fine before. I remember having similar issues on my Xperia Z where I had to flash fixed wifi modules, but those aren't available for the Mate 7..
What's odd is, is that things like chrome work just fine, but apps that require connections in the background, such as Whatsapp, Telegram, YouTube do not.

I think I might have made an error/assumption. My Wi-Fi was unusually slow.that was the problem. Severe congestion on the channel I had picked.set it to auto now.
