Help required to flash a new Radio on HTC Desire HD

Hi,
I Have a DHD which i bought an year ago. It was rooted immideately after i bought it and i never really tried installing a new Radio until a couple of weeks ago when i flashed a new ROM...Android Revolution HD 7.0.3 and later Blackout ICS XL v2.0.
The problem that i am facing is
1. Constantly dropping wifi connection
2. fewer bars of the signal strength.
I figured that this could most probably be due to the old Radio(stock Radio) that i still have.
I need to update the Radio, but i reaaly could not find any consistent information on how to do it.
My Question:
1. Do i need to have Radio S Off and ENG S off in order to install new radio.
When searching over the internet, i got confused. Some say Radio S-Off is not required, Some say ENG S-Off is not required and some say both are not reuired to flash a new radio.
2. When i restart my phone in recovery, the hboot screen says ACE PVT ENG S-ON...so thats the information on ENG S-ON, but i really can't find a RADIO S-ON anywhere. How do i check this. My phone was unlocked when i bought it, i.e. it did not come bundled with any data carrier.
Please let me know, it will be a great help.

I rooted and rommed my own phone some time back without any problems, thanks to many excellent posts on this site. My boss kept moaning that his sensation kept crashing/hanging/behaving badly - so I told him that I would root and rom his phone, Which I have done. Problem is though there's no BT or WIFI. I have tried several variations on PG58IMG.ZIP but none even offer to carry out the upgrade. The phones CID is VODAP001 and the text from the HBOOT is as follows....

I cannot seem to change the CID (I tired to superCID it). I'm fairly sure that it's the radio.img that needs to be updated - can anyone help me as to why this isn't happening. What PG58IMG.ZIP should I be using are there any additional locks that Vodafone have put on that I need to remove. The OS seems to work fine except no wifi or bluetooth. The ROM I installed is the AKOP milestone 6. Please help, my boss might sack me! :crying:

You would probably be better getting the phone to have S-OFF first.
You've not stated if the phone has gone through the HTCdev unlock mechanism. Although, I don't know what that achieves in comparison to full S-OFF.

I've tried several PG%*IMG.zip files that appear to be the correct versions, but all they do is get as far as the Parsing... then returns me to the fastboot screen. Everything on the phone appears to work correctly except radio services (BT & Wifi) and the SD card won't mount on PC on USB mode, but I'm not bothered about that - if the Wifi works I can always network files onto the phone.

Hi,
According to your hboot,it says "S-ON" .
That is why no PG58IMG.zip will work
It seems that if you cannot see that,you should really not be playing with your boss's phone.
If you intend to carry on,look in my signature at the "Asskicker Thread "
That deals with s-on and flashing custom ROMS...

I need to revert my HTC sensation Xe to stock rom as it not working. I have search everywhere , google,filefactory torrent etc but cant find this stock rom?

According to the list I have you need x.xx.862.xxxxxx RUU if you want to go back to your original version.
If you change the CID to SuperCID "11111111" a good stand in is the WWE version x.xx.401.xxxxxxx
I have included the RUU carrier list I have, I assume it's incomplete but accurate, the only two I have used are 161 (Vodafone UK) and 401 (WWE).
You can get the WWE one from: http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Pyramid but it doesn't contain your original one.

The phone is already SuperCID but even that i cannot get any RUU to work, it will just freeze on the beatsAudio logo at boot up. I have tried several roms also , but with same issue

So should you maybe need an asian radio.img instead of european?

Finally Done Thanks For Ur Time & Help I Update it To Sense 5 WiFi Works Fine But Sim Network Still Not Come Then I open my handset and checked it i Found 1 Main Antenna Wire Not Connected To Connector So I Just Reconnect Antenna Wire And Packed Again All Ok Network Full Signal Come And WiFi Also Working All Done Thanks For Helping Me

Soft Bricked HTC One S (S3) on Hboot 2.09.0001 - S-On (VilleC2 PVT SHIP)

Hello,
First time poster so please be gentle. (I am somewhat noobish when it comes to remembering terms and whatnot)
I've gotten myself into quiet a pickle here. I ran a successful RUU on my handset (ofc with SuperCID as well as S-off, unlocked bootloader and root) and had the time of my life. I was back to stock! A day later I wanted to update you see but got the "variant system detected" problem. Considering that I was still S-off and SuperCID'd I instead decided to change my CID (yes, that wasnt very smart) instead of just going S-on and then updating (I'm also not too familiar with OTA so yeah....). I had 2 RUU's on my desktop (the current one i used was for ICS a.k.a 4.0.4 Asia WWE Telkomsel whereas the other one i was planning to use was Vodafone UK JB), Me being the idiot I was clicked on the Vodafone one, searched up the CID for Vodafone UK (VODAP001) and rewrote the CID.
I then proceeded to S-On so i could get OTA updates working finally and again being the idiot I am ran the Vodafone RUU.
This cleared all my data and wiped the OS clear off my phone.
So now im stuck with:
VilleC2 PVT Ship S-On
Hboot -2.09.0001
Radio-16.05.20.16_M2
OpenDSP-v05.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot
as well as a CID for Vodafone UK (VODAP001)
And here I am now. (sorry about the storytelling)
I have tried 2 roms so far which are:
- mcOneS3_1_0_0_DeODEX (yes i know, my Hboot wasn't right. Tried it anyways)
- BackToBasics_V3
Neither worked and I've been searching the web for more roms as well as an RUU that can match all my details (which is very unlikely).
I've also been trying to search for [ROM][DISCONTINUED][S3][18 FEB] TrickDroid 6.0.0 and was wondering if anyone had a copy lying around that they could provide since Trickdroid for the S3 has been discontinued:crying:. If someone could provide me that, I would be extremely grateful. Also any advice is great too.
