If you have bricked your D850 and need help... - AT&T LG G3

I recently tried to root my D850 with 5.0.1 Of course, I botched it and it got stuck at the boot screen. I figured a factory reset (hard reset) might save the day, but it didn't. The device was not recognized by the PC and the MTP driver would not work no matter what I did. In desperation, I chatted with an LG USA rep. He said to submit a repair request, which I did. There was no mention of cost but at this point, I don't care if it does cost to fix it. They emailed me a FedEx label and I sent it off yesterday. There was another thread in which the OP sent his in to LG with pretty much the same thing happened and his device was repaired free, so I'm hoping for a free fix. Point is: I got this device from a seller on eBay and I was upfront with LG about that. Warranty or not, they seem willing to fix it for me. So, instead of beating your head against the wall trying to fix it, you might want to consider sending it to LG if you get it fixed yourself.

Or you can just follow my guide which 1,000s have used to fix there phone It takes under 10min after you download everything.

If its stuck at LG boot screen just put it into download mode and follow the guide... They will most likely charge you as they will see ROOTED in red when they go into download mode.

Which would PROBABLY work. But as I stated in another thread (to which I got no response), the PC is not recognizing it. And, as I stated, I don't care if they charge me or not. I just want it FIXED.

Then try another PC.
Sending to the company is a last resort type thing. Some cases people have been charged more than you can get a used one for at times.
The method in that thread is the exact way LG will be fixing your phone. (Unless they just replace your motherboard)

If that's the exact way and it works for them, GOOD! Because I tried it and several other methods and it DID NOT WORK. As the person the said in another thread, they fixed it FREE. And, if they charge me, so what? I'll have my device working properly. I don't know where you'd get one of these for under $100, but if they fail to restore it, please DO tell me as I'd sure like to know. In fact, tell me now so I can grab one for my wife.

They normally at least charge $200 + for a phone repair. . I've dealt with LG and LG phones for a good while now.
And not sure if you have ever posted in my guide asking for help.
Different methods? There's ONLY ONE method that works for the D850 which is the TOT method.
After downloading and installing the drivers , software and zipped tot, did you make sure phone was IN download mode? Did you make sure you changed your COM port to COM41?
You have to be sure your following everything step by step.
The guide is very simple. I can pretty much gurentee that if you lived nearby I'd have that phone fixed in under 20min.
I'm just stating myself and my guide has fixed 1,000s of LG phones.

Maybe so, but it didn't fix mine. See, when the PC does not see it, nothing is going to download, upload, flash. It's a moot point anyways, as it's on it's way to LG, Ft. Worth.

Wishing you the best of luck, Provide and update as to what happens.
SO the phone was in download mode when you tried? You`d look for LGEmodem under ports in device manager.

UPDATE
So, I sent my G3 into LG_Ft. Worth approximately a week-and-a-half ago for the symptoms sited at the beginning of the thread. Bear in mind, I got this phone from eBay and I told them that. I also told them that after I tried to do a Factory Reset, it locked at the LG boot screen. That's ALL I told them. No questions asked: They sent me a replacement unit. F R E E!
The invoice stated "Bad ROM flash. Replacement sent." I'm restoring from back-up now.

Same issue as OP
I have one G3 soft bricked. At first, i was be able to connect to dl mode. I tried LG Mobile Support tool to flash the phone back to stock , at the end, it failed. Now the phone not let me enter dl or recovery mode. PC not detect the phone at all. I'm using original Nokia USB cable. Tried with 3 computers, none of them detect when plugin and hold Vol up or down etc...
I want to follow TOT method but what can i do if computer not detect the phone?

I'm sure there will be others that will have you try different things, but FOR ME, I went to the LG website and chatted with a tech. He told me to send it in. Even provided a shipping label. See the original post for what took place. They shipped me a replacement phone... F R E E. Took about two weeks.

Yeah but using my back to stock guide can take about an hour depending on your connection. If connection is good then maybe 20 min.
And not all cases will be the same. There's some cases of people getting charged even just to get there phone back.

Sorry for the delay in case you didn't find out no, the method uses official lg firmwares. Which requires windows. So no way to do it on a Mac unless you use a virtual machine which is very buggy to do this with.

On the topic of bricking (and unbricking !!) the D850, I just received a D850 from ebay today. I tried hyelton's procedure
to restore a stock ROM (LGD850AT-01-V10d-310-410-JUN-19-2014+0.tot) and it failed during the download.
My D850 entered a horrible bricked state, booting with a "secure booting error" message, and then alternating with red and blue LEDs. It was impossible to enter download mode. Trying to use the default recovery to do a factory reset failed. Basically it seemed like the device was bricked.
I was a little panicky because I just received the phone earlier in the day.
I then found this amazing thread on the Sprint LG G3 forum, which describes a sort of hard reset you can do inside the phone. (kind of like an alternative download mode to transfer files to the device). This requires you to short two connections in the phone with a ~2cm piece of copper wire, so you obviously need to be comfortable disassembling your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
I am happy to report that this procedure worked perfectly to return my ATT D850 back to life, notably giving me download mode back, which I used following Hyelton's procedure to download a stock ROM back into the phone, which now worked fine.
I hope others can benefit from this.

I have bricked my LG optimus p500. I am able to get into emergency mode by pressing search + vol down.
I am not sure what is emergency download mode and what are the key combinations to get into it. What should I do next. I have KDZ updater available with me but its not helping.
It says: "PHONE not found"
I'm stuck in fastboot on boot. Fastboot commands works on the phone but since it doesnt detect my sd card i can't flash or do anything. And i'm a noob when it comes to the commands in fastboot and adb... but gimme a shout if you've got a hint to my salvation

am with you
After days of living a double life
I downloaded the LG KDZ UPDATER but needed to find instructions on using after hours of failed attempts and came across a forum here that spoke of english version of the KDZ UPDATER that does not need windows enabler and that saved my phone.
Visit LG, download and install all the drivers offered for your model first. Then you will need to find the kdz updater file for your phone I could only find the one for the opt p500 and I have a p509 but used it anyway and boy was I happy to see the phone shut down and show the battery charging animation. I still had to do a factory reset afterwards because the phone kept getting stuck at the android screen. So the phone booted and I noticed there were some limitations like not being able to install apps because the phone would not acknowledge the apps on my SD CARD and I could not get a network connection to save my life.
I used the updater software for my phone that I downloaded from LG and did a software update and were back in business. I missed my baby. All of the essentials besides the LG software came from reading the forums here which I am so happy, thankful and greatfull for. Thanks to every one who posted what little progress they were making step by step. If your phone is stuck at the LG logo and you don't know by now, pressing and holding down the up volume, back and power keys while phone is off will put your phone in emergency mode. the drivers for your device will recognize your phone in emergency mode. I did not provide any links to make it that easy for you because my struggle gave me more knowledge than I was looking for but was much needed. Good Luck to all. I am know optimistic about doing additional mods to my device due to my faith in this recovery from a brick. I immediately came here minutes after my success to help and give thanx. I really appreciate the fact I did not have to talk or go to my carrier about this.

I guess I screwed up some obvious thing and now the phone is stuck on the LG logo when ever I turn on, may be the continuous boot loop. When I connect it to PC, nothing is detected. Searched all over web and couldn't find any help except for this thread.
Btw, I tried holding down the buttons to see if it goes into recovery. does nothing.
Can some one please help me!!!

Finally, out of the dumps. Followed this thread's first post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883314
( and the links in the thread to get the KDZ updater and the stock rom download from LG) to the word, including all the shaking. Got into the emergency mode, used the KDZ updater to install the ROM, (had to shake the phone until the updater detected it, ) and have the phone back and running.
For the rom downloads, none of the US T-mobile roms are available for download. I downloaded the Australian rom. follow the links in the post carefully, its all there.

OK, glad to know I'm getting somewhere. Downloaded that kdz, phone is on EMERGENCY MODE, but now trying like crazy to have it detected by the KDZ updater.
shaking is the only way. i had to shake it and restart updater half a dozen times before finally got it to detect the phone. its a test of patience. after it is detected, take it easy and let it do its thing. takes a while for the phone to boot up for the first time.

lg optimus zone 3 lgvs425pp stock firmware dump

hopefully this will help out some people and the developers to make, fix, restore a not so popular phone. I did a total firmware dump and have uploaded to my 4shared folder. If anyone is interested or can tell me how to upload it here for developing i will be more than happy to share with those in need. I also have a spare phone that i would be willing to test anything made from the firmware dump i created.
PLEASE link?
Some time after rooting my Optimus Zone 3 VS425PP, I got locked into a boot loop. There are no custom ROM's, neither recovery nor OS. It's not bricked. Yet, anyway. The loading screen functions, then a little window that says "OPTIMIZING APPS 1 OF 5, PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY..." appears. I've seen this before, but now, upon reaching "APP 5 OF 5," it reboots and repeats. I've tried several factory resets via the LG RECOVERY (MODIFIED,) as well as safe mode to no avail. Anyone? Anything? Help? The only recourse I can think of would be to re-flash the stock ROM, which I cannot find. Anywhere. Thanks, guys.
i tried contacting judthro for the same file; no luck

Unfortunately, I don't think this file is actually out there. I have REALLY been looking, even contacted the LG Development team. The LG Support Tool, etc. are not going to help you yet as they do not have the firmware on their servers yet. That's why the LG Support Tool will freeze when trying to do an Update Recovery on this phone. -- And I've tried them all: LG Mobile Support Tool, LG PC Suite, Verizon VS425PP Update Tool (from the mounted drive on the phone), LG Flash Tool 2014 to force different KDZ files. All provide nothing. All dead ends. The Optimus won't grab a COM unless it is the right signed firmware for the phone. You'll just sit there in Download Mode or in Debug mode forever with no result. We have to wait for the first update from LG from version VS425PP1 to whatever comes next so they have something to stick on their server. But...if you find something before then, please let me know! The update will eventually be released to the public. It'll probably just take a year or so.
Good thing is Wal-Mart sells these for under $12 (yes, that's right). I picked up seven of these quad-core bad boys at that deal. Just bugs the hell out of me I can't fix the one I over rooted.
this *might* be promising...

hopefully the op will chime in for insight. The 999MB isn't much good. It appears to be a RAR dump of all the partitions, perhaps made from a lglaf.py script while in download. Nevertheless, i havent found any way yet to push the firmware dump onto the phone.

Meanwhile, as my LG cycles endlessly through my really cool "Jolly Roger" boot animation, I stumbled across a Kyocera Hydro Wave at Walmart for $20. I snapped it up to replace the LG Optimus Zone 3. I had big plans to root it, too., but I should've researched it first. The specs are great... but one check on Cyanogen's website probably would've saved me some trouble. Not one Kyocera device is listed there. XDA thread also throws red flags-no one can get root to stick. Well, I at least learned a lesson. Next time, I plan to purposefully buy a phone that can be rooted, has been rooted, has instructions online to do so, AND has at least one custom ROM available! No wonder this thing was $20! Keep us all posted if you stumble across a bootloop fix of some kind, and I'll do the same.
here is stock recovery for this device https://www.dropbox.com/home/Apps/Flashify/VS425PP/recovery

Either I am unable to open that link from an Android device OR the link given is to an unshared folder? It just asks me to log in and then says 'that folder does not exist in your DropBox...' PLEASE check out the SHARE link from within your DropBox and maybe share a new folder (and drop the stock ROM in there, along with what you might've used to flash it maybe?) We'd be very grateful!

To all who have a bricked, phone this phone has an update. Download the LG software assistant and put assistant in repair mode then boot phone normally and wait a bit. Run the repair assistant and let it run. Hopefully if everything runs well as it did me. Mine is restored and running.
Just ordered one. Is there root for this phone? Unlocked bootloader or forgetaboutit?
I rooted this phone and then tried to de-bloat, but I must have deleted too much. Now when I boot all I get is "Security Error - Authentication Fail #9"
I can get to Download mode, but none of the recovery programs recognize the phone. I installed the drivers, but still nothing. Is there anything I can do?

this one is troubling. hmm you got the stock rom from lg? if so then try downloading the drivers from verizon.
Any updates on recoveries? I hate being scared of tweaking due to not having a backup .-. Anyone find something? Plz lemme know, thx! Btw kingo root 4.5 seems to have root for this phone but super sume seems to brick it. Just a heads up eace:

LG Stylo 2(K540)- At this point I'm begging for help!

I'm new to the XDA Forums and even forums in general so if I speak out of place or anything like that I apologize ahead of time. So anyway, where do I start? I'll try to give you the short version. So I bought an LG Stylo 2(model: LG K540) through Cricket the day they came out. It was $170 phone. On the second day of using my new phone I got the bright idea that I'd try and root it BY MYSELF. I knew better but for some reason I had this false burst of confidence & thought I had everything under control. Well, thanks to Kingroot that burst of confidence didn't last long and there I was with a 2 day old phone BRICKED. Reason I never posted on the forums is because I've got a buddy who , in my eyes, knows everything there is to know about Android and thats who I'd normally go to when I wanted to root a phone so he's who I immediately turned to but even he couldn't figure it out. He couldn't help me unless we had the stock firmware or someone with the exact same phone and according to him we could some how use a backup of that phone to fix mine. Cricket just wanted to sell me another phone even though I was standing there with a 2 day old phone and LG just wants me to send the phone in to them, which I have no desire to do. I've searched all over the internet trying to locate the firmware because even I can fix the phone if I had that but nothing. Had hoped by now LG would have released the firmware but at this point who knows when that'll happen. I'd even pay for it at this point. Anyway, just thought I'd give the forum a shot on the off chance someone might be able to help me or point me in the right direction. Oh and if you were wondering what the phone does now, when I turn it on the LG logo appears like it should but then right as it appears you see a message in red lettering that says: BOOT VERIFICATION FAIL!!- CAUSE: MISMATCH_SIG_LEN And it just loops this over & over until you pull the battery out. Please someone help me!

Source code to rom¿?
I ran into basically the same situation as you. I'm currently downloading Android open source project on to a fresh install Ubuntu 16.04. I am currently in the middle of running sync.
I'm curious if there is anybody out there who would be willing to give a few pointers, on compiling the ROM from LG open source code. They told me I had to use it in the readme.txt.
Im a noob with fair knowledge of modding and stylo not stylo 2. There's no way to say for sure if this will work but on lg mm on h631 u need to unlock dev option in settings 1st. Make sure to check off oem unlock and usb debugging. Connect to pc and you will get a popup or 2, one will ask to allow pc to connect to phone, the second is to allow usb debugging. After you allow both, open cmd in your adb fastboot folder. Type " adb reboot bootloader." should reboot the phone to bootloader/fastboot mode. Then you type " fastboot oem unlock." you will see sending.. Once sending is done type " fastboot reboot." when the phone restart you should see bootloader unlocked on splash screen. Then i rooted with kingroot. Then use rashr to flash twrp. Then used twrp to flash supersu to get rid of kingroot.. My h631 now in business and i just started working on a port for lg ux 5.0. This is the guild i use for a better idea http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/how-to/guide-lg-g-stylo-how-to-root-t-mobile-6-t3333916. You might need lgflashtool and kdz to unbrick..
NO NEED to beg.
I don't know very much but I know $$$ talks and since no one save the few who suggested contacting lg wants to help, Ill try. At the moment I am efforting a solution via the Chinese. I expect to have a working copy in the next 48hrs. when I do, we can arrange for you to get access to the mega.nz cloud and get urs.

BIN File
Hello, I have a Stylo 2 K540 from cricket, it is having issues with the Wi-Fi, it will not connect to either Wi-Fi or bluetooth, MAC address was set at 02:00:00:00:00 or something like that, I opened the phone and it has humidity sensor active, cleaned the affected area but it seems like it was useless, eventhough I was pretty sure that was not the main problem. I looked for some troubleshooting options and found non of use, firmware is sold for $30 online so it is not an option since I am not certain loading firmware will be of any help. I tried repairing MAC address via Octoplus using other addresses but was useless as well.
I have little to no experience with software on phones, but I like to read and learn. I decided to connect the phone to the computer and "Read full flash" on Octopus, I have created the Bin file, I have a perfectly working phone as well, I was wondering if there is any way to get the KDZ file from the Bin file doing some sort of conversion, or if I could do some sort of fix or workaround with this bin file, I can share it if anybody needs it or if it can be of any use to get the firmware

you can go into download mode by pressing volume up key and inserting usb cable .press the volume up until you see download mode a firmware readed by z3x box is available on clamgsm forum you can flash it with z3x box crack .

Warning: Do not flash the google assistant

I flashed the Google assistant some time ago and everything was fine but yesterday I decided to do some minor build prop edits and accidentally bricked my phone. Now that's fine because they have multiple ways of unbricking the T-Mobile LG v20. But when I tried to unbricking it using LGup nothing works because it registers my phone as a pixel and now my phone can't be restored. So take it from me..Don't do it!!! It isn't worth the loss. I have a brick now. An official lg v20 brick. Sigh
EDIT:
IM EDITING THIS TO ADD WHAT I DID.
Here's the story
I was trying to revert to stock with the build prop so I could upgrade my phone. so I edited the prob and removed the lines I added to get Google assistant in the first place but it crashed and when I entered TWRP to push the build prop. When that didn't work I flashed the stock tot file which got my phone working but I wanted to upgrade so I found the page in XDA to flash the kdz with LGup which I was doing but half way through it failed and Twrp was gone which started this snow ball effect.
Do you not have TWRP you can reboot into, and re-flash a backup or new ROM?

That's actually a pretty good idea. I'm going as soon as TMobile opens.
I had the same problem. ADB didn't recognize my device to run command to reboot recovery. I found that ADB did pick it up while doing a factory reset. Even tho it was the original LG factory reset screen it would use TWRP to perform the reset but would automatically reboot after. So I had a command window opened with adb reboot-recovery typed then I rebooted into the original factory reset and selected yes twice. As soon as TWRP screen came up and I heard the windows chime recognizing the device I hit enter in command window to reboot recovery and it rebooted into TWRP normally where I was able to restore from backup. If you time it right you can get back to TWRP. Hope this helps

That is very strange, I recently bricked my phone to the point where I didn't have a system at all on it. When you boot to firmware update mode (power + volume up) and pluged it in LGUp recognized it instantly. You have the correct DLL for your device right?

My issue was that when I flashed the assistant mod it turned my device name into " google pixel" so when I hooked it up to lgup it read it as a pixel and failed the restore every time. That was the issue I couldnt change the name of my devixe back to the v20.

I disnt have anything on my phone. No twrp and I couldnt install it. The assistant mod changed my device name to PIXEL and when id connect it to the pc it read as a pixel and failed every update I LG V20 I pushed to it..that was a new type of brick lol. But I told t mobile that if I what happened and I got another one.
These old assistant mods would be taken down. The only thing needed to enable it without spoofing a phone as a Pixel is adding "ro.opa.eligible_device=true" to build.prop, and the Google app updated via Play Store.

That's the thing my phone didn't have a system on it at all and LGUp read it as what it was. When you on the firmware screen it should read based on hardware ID right? Have you tried using LG bridge? Are you on the T-Mobile variant?
This is a contributing factor in why these companies lock bootloaders. People do stupid things because they don't know what they're doing and then others encourage them to just return it and get a new one and lie. Not cool at all. How about don't root your phone if you don't know what you're doing.

WTF! With your logic no one would learn anything.
My phone was rooted just fine. How was I suppose to know that after I flashed the stock build prop my phone was going to stay as a pixel device?? That wasn't stupid of me that was trial and error. Something stupid is if I did it again. No one specified that my phone would stay as a pixel device, go read the instructions and tell me where it says that. Also, I have "Jump on demand" so I used one of my jumps to get a brand new phone..So I paid a price for it. It wasn't just "me lying and getting a free phone" I still paid for it I paid for my mistake and Yes initially I lied but still paid and am still paying for this phone. Plus I have an s7 edge and a Huawei honor note 8 all rooted and have never ran into any issues. Why?? Because I never did what people instructions told me not to do. I always follow instructions. I've been rooting phones since I was a milk drinker all the way back to the G1 days. I'm very careful but if instructions don't cover all the basis then what?? PEOPLE, including me should continue to root and try new things. But you can't blame them if YOU(not you in particular but in general) as a developer make something and can't catch all the bugs(it isn't The developers/modders fault either)..Modding is a giant community of trial and error. The only people at fault are idiots who don't read and do some ****. Other than that we are all out here finding our way with these new devices. So yes, I have a new v20 that I paid for with MY "Jump on demand" plan that is now rooted and unlocked. Now am I going to use the Google assistant mod again?? No, because that would be stupid of me. Now get off my post.
I was just warning people so they wouldn't make the same mistake as me.
Whats the stupid part is how you managed to erase TWRP and lose access to fastboot on your device. Not that your changed something in build.prop. His logic is not flawed, whatever you did to lose access to the two essential parts of having a rooted phone is the flaw here.
Also simply doing build.prop edits should not make you lose access to TWRP nor being able to access fastboot - or did you relock your bootloader?

In stead of assuming what happened with my device how about y'all ask me the details first. But coming off the bat assuming that I just did foolishness is asinine.

So once again where's the stupidity on my part when I didn't know that my phone was still going to be labeled a a pixel after a factory reset? Please, both of you have several seats in the back.
All I'm doing is warning people about what could possibly happen. Y'all can miss me with your unnecessary opinions and comments.
No I appreciate you wanting to warn the community, but you most certainly did not post that story. You posted saying you got bricked from doing edits to your build.prop and then because of using a Google assitant mod you are hard bricked. Post that entire story as a warning because even having your phone appear as a Pixel won't do any harm - but flashing a .kdz and having it fail midway may indeed cause harm. Lack of details causes much misinformation to spread around quickly

My bad I'll edit it. And apologies for the response tone.
It's called taking responsibility. You had a phone with root and did something stupid. Instead of taking responsibility you lie and tell them the phone is defective. That is 100% your fault. I bet it worked fine before you started messing with it. Whatever man I'm gonna let this be but you can bet that when these companies look at the supposed drfrctive returned phones and see they have been tamperred with and that people are being dishonest to get a new phone when they're the sole reason the phone stopped working, eventually they will all say screw it and just lock everything down.
Hopefully you learned from this.

Actually the phone had a few random rebootsa and use to freeze on stock. I decided to keep it because of the note 7 fiasco and I was too frustrated and pissed to return it and then they ran out. So this was well over due. But once again you know nothing Jon snow. And yes I did lie but this device already had issues. Soooo???

Calling for help.. H90021z or H90022b firmware user

Hello,
As we know there are many H90021w firmware user found their phone is not working as it should be. There are some issues like fingerprint sensor is not working, cant uninstalling apps, etc. I found the only way to solve is by updating the firmware to 21z or 22b only. I've try to find in on the net throughly only to find after the v21w firmware, newer firmwares are stored in the AT&T server, not on the LG server anymore. And the only way to get the OTA is by using an AT&T simcard and in the US. This definitely a problem to those who live outside the US just like me.
And it's not possible to downgrade, trust me, maybe I've try everything that possible including taking out the emmc from the board, erasing everything and put the lollipop firmware in it. Simply not working. Mind you, when I put that emmc (lollipop) on another board (vs990 too) which were originally lollipop and never use the 21w firmware, it's working fine.
So basically updating to 21z or 22b is the only way. Also if there's any 21w user and the phone is normal, maybe you can help too.
All we need is to put the phone on qualcomm 9008 mode, copy some partitions, zip it and upload to somewhere. It's perfectly safe as I did it many many times to backup my phone and some friend's phones (v10 and G4). We'll exclude the imei partition and userdata, so it will be safe for you.
This method is also useful for other purposes. You can full backup your phone and restore it if theres anything happen. For those who have bootlooped phone, you can backup it and restore to another working phone and you'll have almost the same state of the phone. Of course the type of the phone should be identical and the arb is ok. If the arb is stil 0, you can even switch the carrier to Tmobile.
This could be used for many purposes, but let's get this one done first. If its working, I'll put it in a new "how to" thread so many will be helped. We can also arrange donations for those who help. We can discuss it by pm.
So hopefully someone can help and we can discuss on private message about the method in details.
Thank you
Nobody?
Hi all,
Probably my previous request were too much.
I found an easier and faster way to do it. No need to go to mode 9008 or modifying the cable.
All it need is LGup patched which can be found on https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/guide-patch-lgup-to-unlock-features-t3652222 and a normal data cable.
If anybody willing to help, feel free to let me know.
Thank you

Yeah I'll need some instructions, its been a long time since I last used LGUP or anything similar... ^^
Now, I just checked, I am running H90022b, but I'm not entirely sure whether this would solve your problem.
I have an LG V10, AT&T locked, but with a verizon motherboard... This means that in my case, some security options don't work, I can't update, can't use a fingerprint sensor and worst of all, I can't deinstall apps. (I'm never buying refurbished devices again ^^)
However, if you have a normal V10 (H900), this should be no problem. The software is still the same, its flashed as a H900, whilst it should be a H901 I think.
