[Q]Battery in HTC One E8 - HTC One E8

what battery is HTC One E8 ? is the same as in M8 . I would use the charger from the M8 and I wonder if it's safe.

Yes it's probably the same, and using a M8 charger has no issues at all.

I'm quite sure it's the same. even if it's not, there are no problem using different charger. I always charge mine with anything available at that time.
Sometimes it's my aftermarket charger, sometimes it's the old Blackberry charger, heck, sometimes I charge it from my laptop.

[Q] Desire S takes longer too charge

My HTC Desire S is taking 4-5 hours from 10-10% charging, I am using TC U250 adapter to charge my phone and it also takes to much time when charging from 95% to 100%,can some one explain me this,
are you using the native HTC charger? if you use it, there shouldn't be such a problem.

I contacted HTC about that, they said its normal.
True story it is normal! I need 3 hours for full charge from 0-15% to 100%
You have some Roms that charge in 1 hour very fast

HTC Pogo charger?

Hello
So i just received my Hard drive case, usb Y cable and OTG cable today n im happy as ****!
Usually i watch something from my phone at night because the computer fan just annoys me even tho you can barely hear it, so i leave a movie on my phone to play n stuff. The only problem is i charge the phone during night. However with the Hard drive plugged in it doesn't seem to charge it.
I was wondering is there a pogo charger for the HTC One X? i didn't seem to find any only some mods. If yes whats the maximum rate of charge using the pogo pins? USB is 1000mA and it takes about 3 hours to charge my device from 5-10%

and btw that one will not fit our one xl i guess ill just get a case n put the pogo pins in that one.
Good luck with everything
maybe this and use the charger to charge the external battery while using the HOX USB port to have the HDD active. Just a thought

Anyone try using a HTC charger for a Faster charge..

Hey people, I just try my oem HTC m8 charger on my t-mobile Sony z3 via magnetic charging port and I swear it charging my phone at least double or three the rate then if I use the Sony oem it came with..
I also left it on stamina mode while charging the port..
Has anyone else try this?

Isn't the charger on the M8 1.5amps? The same as the charger on the Z3.
I have both, so I suppose I could use the M8 charger tonight and see...
You are probably right on the spec but I just don't know if it's a placebo effect but I figured I ask.. Also if I am right this would make this Phone so much sweeter than it already is..
I know it's supposed to charger faster by using the magnetic port but it seems faster using my HTC m8 charger instead of my Sony oem..
I figured I share see what you guys said

Please let us know how this goes, if it is true, I will probably end up ordering the M8 charger tonight.
i got a 2.1amp samsung tab 8.4 charger with original cable, and it seems the speed of Charging goes faster than stock charger, however i woke up twice wont my battery stuck at 99% charge and it never went to 100 so stopped using it
I've got an Anker dual port charger that has a 2.0amp and 1.5 amp ports on it that I use at work.
Although, the only time I ever charge my phone is at night... And considering charging a battery slower is generally better, I wouldn't be switching to a faster charger for my uses.
Unless I was in a hurry and *needed* the extra 15% a 'quick' charger would give me.

Samsung tablet chargers are interesting. They will actually increase voltage slightly as current draw increases to compensate for cable losses.
End result is Samsung tablet chargers often charge faster than others, sometimes significantly faster.

[Q] Rapid Charger 2.0

Does any one know if the charger come with the M9 is the Rapid Charger 2.0 or just a normal charger?
It comes with normal charger. Rapid charger 1.0. My m9 from 0-100% in two hours

Does anyone know if these chargers have any negative effect on the battery over time?
the iVoler car charger, I just bought this to try it cause the price was low and the reviews said it was quality made. This charger works exactly as promised. And the 6 foot USB cable is of good quality and really nice. It also fits into my m9 with a nice click, and fits well around my case. I will definitely buy more of these!

They will lead to battery at higher temp.
Mine Charges at approximately 2.5A I observed battery temp reach 43C before charging current was lowered until temperature came back down.
Likely to lead to slightly reduced lifespan .
No concern to me as I typically change phone every six months. Even to owners who change every two years it probably won't be noticeable. Good advice is to charge overnight with normal charger and use fast charger only when needed .

I have the original charger and the rapid charger from the nexus 6 and I can say the nexus 6 charger does charge my phone a lot faster than the HTC provided one.
I'm tempted by the rapid charger 2.0 but I'm not sure, because charging a battery more faster it reduces the battery life. What do you think?

I have the same charger but it doesn't charge any faster than the stock one.
Perhaps it's disabled in T-Mobile version?

Dang, that's fast. I don't really have a need for it to be that fast, since I sit at a desk and wirelessly charge all day, but that is great that that is an option

For best results, you need the stock HTC charger that came with the U11.
If not available, the only correct charger to use is a "Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0" style charger from a
reputable maker. Anything else may reduce battery life or cause overheating.
