Does any one know if the charger come with the M9 is the Rapid Charger 2.0 or just a normal charger?

Does anyone know if these chargers have any negative effect on the battery over time?
the iVoler car charger, I just bought this to try it cause the price was low and the reviews said it was quality made. This charger works exactly as promised. And the 6 foot USB cable is of good quality and really nice. It also fits into my m9 with a nice click, and fits well around my case. I will definitely buy more of these!

They will lead to battery at higher temp.
Mine Charges at approximately 2.5A I observed battery temp reach 43C before charging current was lowered until temperature came back down.
Likely to lead to slightly reduced lifespan .
No concern to me as I typically change phone every six months. Even to owners who change every two years it probably won't be noticeable. Good advice is to charge overnight with normal charger and use fast charger only when needed .

I have the original charger and the rapid charger from the nexus 6 and I can say the nexus 6 charger does charge my phone a lot faster than the HTC provided one.
I'm tempted by the rapid charger 2.0 but I'm not sure, because charging a battery more faster it reduces the battery life. What do you think?

Perhaps it's disabled in T-Mobile version?

Not sure, but i also have an iPhone, maybe ill try that charger out and see if it really charges faster. I know that the iphone charges ridiculously fast, i guess its because of the charger being 2amp.

The phone will have the ability to LIMIT the rate it charges but that doesn't mean it can't be better or worse based on how much power you give it. Good to know about the iPhone charger, I have a bunch of those laying around.
Same with the hp touchpad charger. It charges my phone an atleast 30-45 mins faster than the HTC one going from under 10% to full.

It also depends on the kernel, you could have a script in the kernel to fast_charge
From my powered Shooter.
I use my iPad charger to charge when I need a faster charge. It's also 2A versus the 1A on the old iPhone.

Buy another charger? I use the blackberry playback charger personally long cable fast charging and pretty cheap to buy.
Adjust accordingly. Just know that if u do replace the cable or use another charger, the charging rate won't be as fast. See https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-charging-cable-alternative.68517/
But I completely agree, it should have been longer. I just adjusted accordingly and all is good now, the cable should have been at least 6 ft.

I thoroughly recommend the blackberry charger. It has to be this one:

Should be able to grab it from your location too. A lot of sellers sell this particular charger. It's got a 6ft cable and charges quickly. I've replaced all my chargers with this one and it works a treat.

Thought I'd give my thoughts on the Qualcomm Quick Charger 2.0.
Just received the HTC One M9 yesterday.
After a full charge with the stock charger, I had it running for 13 hours without charging.
Woke up this morning and noticed that it had dropped to 34% so I decided to try the Qualcomm Quick Charger 2.0.
Wow! Impressed how fast it went to 100%! Actually I had my doubts about it going 60% in 30 minutes, but it does seem legit.
In my opinion, it is worth well purchasing, specially if you suddenly find yourself with no power left and in need of charging it fast!

I don't have the M9, but from unboxing videos it looks like HTC included the Quick Charge 1.0 charger with the phone. Looks very similar to the one that came with the M8. But I agree, with the M9, HTC had NO excuse not to include a Quick Charge 2.0 charger.
I was wondering if you guys knows if the actual charger of my Nexus 6, could be compatible with the HTC One M9 ?
As it's not included in the M9's Box... If i can keep my actual one, that'll be great !

Just so everyone knows, fast charging a Lithium batter would work best going from 0 to 70-80% any more than that the battery charges really slow, that's just how chargers are designed for lithium tech.
Example, from 0% if the charger is giving out 2Amps, then as soon as it reaches a high point of 80% the power output goes down from 2Amps to around 1Amp, and so on it keeps declining as the battery get higher.
Does this work with any good quality micro USB cable?
Quick Charge with Verizon phone?
Has anyone with a VZW M9 had any great success with a quick charger? And if so, what have you used?
I have the Tenergy Fast Charger, and it is faster than the charger that came with the phone, but it's definitely not super fast. We're talking just slightly over 1% per minute.
This makes me wonder if Verizon has somehow limited quick charging with this phone such that any charger I try is going to be met with limited success or if I should indeed try a different charger.
Is anyone else having trouble getting the fast speed? I have a T-Mobile variant and it seems to be only getting about 1% per minute as well. At 60% charge, it estimates that there is about 50-60 minutes remaining to completion.

Same here, with both Samsung adaptive fast charger and Motorola quick charger from a nexus 6. No idea why, but after using an s6 that charged extremely quickly, it's a little confusing.
I wonder if some of the carrier variants that received the update had the QuickCharge 2.0 functionality disabled. I've tried the Aukey, Anker, Getwow and Onite chargers and they all are not charging at the rated spec.
Quick charge is neat, but it's also destructive for the battery. 95% of the time my phone is only on charge over night, so no need for speed there. I'd rather it have the regular charger for the overnight charge, and maybe having a quick charger for on the go situations.

Depends how sharp eyed you are I suppose. For me the main reason to have those extra watts is so that the battery can still charge at a good rate while running google maps on the phone while driving. That GPS, screen, GPU and CPU take a good chunk of energy.

I don't suggest you to order one from aliexpress, I contacted one of sellers and he said they found out fast charging isn't working..
Or you can just get a reputable one from Amazon... that way you don't have to worry about whether or not the aliexpress company made a super cheap non-safe one.
I just received this aliexpress (dot) com/item/100-Original-edition-Qi-Wireless-Charger-Charging-Pad-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-S6-Edge-Esge-Note/32475381375.html from china and works good with my S6 Edge+... For 8$ is amazing!
now I bought also wireless fast charger, when I'll get it I'll let you know.
It charged my phone from 1% to 100% in 2 hours and 40 minutes... never lost the charge or other problems. Galaxy Charging Current showed me a range from 400 to max 800mAh of current that my phone was getting, using a charger of 1000mAh. Wireless charger's temperature while charging (50% charging) is normal, slightly heated, but I think it's normal...

My original Samsung Fast Charge Wireless charger charges the phone 1-100% in less than 2 hrs. Plus i think i wouldnt be taking a risk with cheap make induction chargers screwing up my wireless charging capability or the nfc chip itself. I've had this issue with my note 4 with a qi insert in the past where the wireless charging completely stopped, since then i stopped using any thing non brand when it comes to wireless charging.
Mine is not fast charger...but I want to know how can I check the quality of my wireless charger...someone can give me some info?

It charged my phone from 1% to 100% in 2 hours and 40 minutes... never lost the charge or other problems. Galaxy Charging Current showed me a range from 400 to max 800mAh of current that my phone was getting, using a charger of 1000mAh. Wireless charger's temperature while charging (50% charging) is normal, slightly heated, but I think it's normal...
what do you think?

My Samsung Fast Wireless Charger charges my phone from 0-100% in about 2 hours. Based on your slower charging times, I'd assume the charger you bought is not an authentic Samsung product.
well

I have same unit,It wont charge unless I remove phone case. My Choetech charger works with the case on my phone. Question: is the product info written on the underside of charger in english or Chinese?

Mine is not wireless fast charger! if you opened the link of product you can see that is a version working with 5v and not with 9v.

Ah, my bad. But I still wonder if this is an authentic Samsung item. Aliexpress is a haven for fake items. Hope it works out for you.

Stability is the most important fact of a wireless charger, then check the charging speed, smart design on lights will be considerable if you are sensetive.
