This is the keyboard from stock 5.0.1, which I believe is google keyboard.

As you might know kitkat has been released for the moto g but i live in germany so i will get it in a few weeks.
Is the moto g getting the Google experience launcher or will it stay the same as in Android 4.3 jelly bean?

So you have widgets in your app drawer and no experience launcher?
The Google Experience Launcher is exclusive to the Nexus 5, however, you can download the APK and install it on your phone without problems...

Thanks, my gf has the nexus 5 and my favourite part of the phone is this launcher. I never realised till now that it wasn't shipping with anything other than nexus 5 so ill definitely be adding it myself when we finally receive the 4.4 OTA
the launcher on 4.4.2 = to 4.3 small visual changes

Try this one... I didn't try, but there's some reports that works on other devices. Make a backup before just in case....

Just install it ? It installed fine on my Nexus 5.
Try this...
You might need to change your tablet's security settings before the download will work.
Go to "Settings" and then "Security", and check the box that says "Unknown Sources" (or leave it checked if it's already checked).
Then use the internet browser on your nexus to go to the site you posted with the link to download, and click download.
Wait for the download to finish, it should notify you in your notifications bar when it's done. Then tap the notification to open the file, and it should walk you through the installation from there.

Sometimes if you buy a cheap tablet from China it's a clone device and doesn't have the Google certificate that makes it come with Play Store and other Google apps already installed. Or if it was second hand, the previous owner could have rooted it, and you'd need to download the Play Store APK file to get it on there.

I also tried to install Samsung Keyboard but it did not work. I think mate 8 does not have the framework for Samsung Keyboard to work.

Install Swype from Google Play Store
Google assistant for moto g4 plus xt1643( i.e My device) has now been launched in India...
For using it users need to install the beta version from google play store...
I have tested it and it is working...
To make it work go to Play store
Install/update google app to beta version..
After installing open google app
Go to settings
There you have a new assistant option
Open assistant settings
Ok Google Voice detection
There u can train voice model...
Done
You can use google assistant to your needs and choices.It has good functionality and overall it a good addition...
I have explained so much detailed is for guys who don't know much/ don't use google app ...Others can easily find it out..

Thanks for sharing this. I think I already got Google Assistant which I didn't notice. I'm from Hyderabad, India and the model XT 1643. All I did was joining as beta tester of Google apps a long time ago.

I'm already a beta tester. And I have updated to this versions and added English us . But there is no Google assistant.

Wait ... I m rooted may be that is the reason... Im not sure about it..
Frankly speaking when i just updated my google app(beta version)..it then got the assistant
Am also using beta version both Google play service and Google app , still I don't get Google assistant.....
