Try this one... I didn't try, but there's some reports that works on other devices. Make a backup before just in case....
Flash in recovery.

id consider 2 camera apps "stock", the google camera and the aosp camera. the google cam used to be like the aosp camera, but with photosphere. all you have to do is grab an older apk and install it, making sure that the new google camera nor aosp camera is installed.
---------- Post added at 08:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:24 PM ----------
ok, i figured it out for you.. make sure that you dont have a google camera nor aosp camera installed, or in /system/app/ nor /data/app/, then flash this in recovery http://goo.gl/orWkC0 if, for some reason you boot up without the camera, go to /system/app/ then push on the camera apk and install it. i tried, it works.
Still don't understand the problem with the one from play store. That's the proper one Nowadays. That's even how stock users use photosphere now.

The app drawer background is white instead of being transparent.
I'm on a 1+1 running CM11 M11 w/ Franco r26 if that got something to do with it haha

Dang, i'm watching a Lollipop Impressions vid and...yea, it is. That kinda sucks.
Was skeptical on it working for the VZW M8 GPE.. but it works in the hour of use so far. Thanks for the up.
Does not work on LG G3 Verizon
Just FYI, system does not boot on Verizon LG G3 (stuck at Starting apps screen) after flashing zip in recovery.
I was able to sideload the 2 apks from the zip and have no issues on my stock, unrooted Moto X(XT1053) running 4.4.4.
It does say in setting that "Ok Google" detection is not supported on your device. I had read in an article that disabling that fixed the force close issue that occurs in unrooted devices that don't have the patch in the zip.

My bad guys, here. Read the instructions. Replace the .so file and install the apk. Sorry it isn't flashable. Check out that keyboard though... It's nice. It's got the old and new themes all in one.

That link has the download to the launcher and the google search. It's the same one I installed just not a flashable zip. I don't know how to make a flashable zip. The OP is reposting, either wait or manually replace the files. It shouldn't be long.

Moto Camera & Gallery for custom rom's Lollipop 5.x.x

Hey guys, Motorola has pushed out an update to its Motorola Camera app that brings along manual exposure controls, letting users make the subject brighter or darker before taking the picture. Also included in this update is some bug fixes, which is always helpful. Manual controls are nothing new, but it is still great to see Motorola add more options for its users.
I share a zip to get the latest version of the camera and gallery in ROMs CyanogenMod 12.1, Paranoid, AICP and all those with Android based Lollipop 5.x.x
Installation:
Download zip file and copy to sdcard.
Reboot en recovery mode (TWRP)
Install zip
Wipe cache/dalvick
Reboot
Done!!
Download:
Update v3
CHANGELOG:
v1
Initial release
Camera is active the advanced options (hidden menu)
v2
Enabled updates from google play store :good:
V3
Fix force close when the photo editor is used in the gallery.
Note 1: Not working slowmotion (confirm if present this bug!) :crying:
Note 2: Removal Moto Camera&Gallery Script add (here)
Thank you for this, better than Google camera (in my opinion).?

COS Camera

Can someone share the CyanogenOS camera?
I've downloaded the app from apkmirror but panorama isn't supported. The app crashes.
Download CameraMod Next for OnePlus One. It's essentially an upgraded version of the stock COS camera app which works great on ROMs like CM & co.
Panorama included and working of course.

Version 10 is the latest one. I suggest downloading the black icon version so you can tell it apart from other installed camera applications.

So CameraMod Next seems to be the best quality option for Zuk at the moment?
What about denoise option? Should it be ON or OFF for better quality?
Thanks

Awesome tip on the camera app, thanks!
My main bugbear with all the apps I had tried was noise and speed, this seems to solve both with denoise on.
What's the best way to ensure I me always has the latest release of the app?
I'm so used to play auto updating, and am running stock COS.
Thanks again!

Agreed it is a great resource. The thread said it was in the Play Store though, so I was only commenting that it may not be for all. Thanks for providing the link on apkmirror.
I tried both the 480dpi and nodpi versions on apkmirror... Both installs failed.
Edit: it's not available in the play store for my Verizon model.

Verizon doesn't want us to install Google phone app... I guess they don't like us having better spam filtering... I really miss it... I get 5 or 6 spam calls a day since i switched to the G7

Tried all the different apks but each one failed to install. Will have to check out true caller. Fuggin Sprint.
Have a t-mobile unlocked G7 and google phone installed directly from playstore with no problems. Not sure yet how well it works for spam filtering, but so far so good.
Cannot get Visual Voicemail to work/show up on Google Phone app. I'm on a T-Mo G7.
For Verizon users, found a solution that works. I think it's an earlier version of the apk but it installs and works! https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/help/google-phone-dialer-t3607557
