Hello All,
I need some help. I have tried CM12, Resurrection remix, liquidsmooth and other CM12 based lollipop roms. I have found headset and speaker volume is low compared to touchwiz roms. I did some r&d and found out in CM12 roms volume has been tweeked to make it bit low. Am not sure whether that would help in performace, but it doesnt matter. I need help in tweeking the volumes back to normal as in touchwiz roms. I use DN4 as of now in N7100 Note 2. I love lollipop roms but low volume makes me switch back to touchwiz roms. please help. thanks in advance. :crying:

Use the app Viper4Android and modify the settings in it as you wish to get more loudness.
Set the Max Gain to 8x in it. Before that, Select UI setting as 'Expert' on options

For using Viper4Android with Lollipop based roms, you'll need a "permissive" kernel OR you need to change your SE Linux mode to "permissive" using SELinux Mode Changer.

Personally, if I can I use Viper too but also Volume Plus or Vodoo Louder APKs which have done the job very well so far...
Here http://goo.gl/M1vpUC and also there http://goo.gl/Gm1Sru and with pimp my rom, you can increase the volume during a phone call if you go to tweaks at the bottom of the menu, telephony and set the AMR Wideband on ... Enjoy...

After boot problems
I did some searching, but not found this bug, so I'll share:
After boot there is no PIN dial, nothing. Just black screen and status bar. But it reacts, even vibrate on touch so I can insert my PIN blind way. Additionally my wallpaper is removed, and replaced by black background.
This happens after every boot. v1.5

you have right , in my mind i was meaning the 4.4.x roms... so sorry
I know that You guys have a loot things to do, but could You PLEASE port that new version 1.7 to our galaxy s II plus? I'm waiting for it since last year! For me, the lollipop are still too buggy, I've checked it and I do not like it. I want to stay in Your spirit 4.4.4. this is the best kitkat mod ever and I badly need that 1,7 update. please, do not forget about galaxy s2 users... I have seen that i9100 users have 1,7 already.
Hi, guys! I found a working version viper4android for Android 5.0.2, i tested on latest version CyanogenMod 12 and works great! Installation by twrp/cwm
My Viper isn't working!!!
"Did you install by flashing the zip??? Is your apk in priv-app??? Do you have any other conflicting sound mods or eq's??? Is Viper enabled and you have installed the drivers and done a reboot???
Some people have luck adding or changing these lines in their build.prop:
##Viper4android
lpa.decode=false
tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=false
lpa.releaselock=false
Also some music players work better by switching to Compatibility Mode. To do that go to menu, click FX Compatible Mode, then click Compatible. Doing this should cause Viper to only modify media players instead of changing sound system wide. Some users say this helps with battery usage as Viper will only process sound when you want it to."
P.S.:
Lolliviper will install the Viper to priv-app and remove Audio FX, DSP Manager, and Music FX.

Did you do something else other than flashing that kernel and then installing viper?
kernel change
Even with SeLinux Mode Changer, the kernel stays on enforcing mode (in my case atleast where im on stock 5.0.1) (EVEN WHEN MODE WAS CHANGED TO PERMISSIVE) Basically what has to be done is install a SeMode editing friendly kernel inbuilt in a particular rom which i cant find and i can't live without viper4android :crying: :crying:
saw some beta's on a few website. Will try and post the results here.
P.s-Update on this version
selinux-Permissive
installed as priv-app
Installed super quality drivers
result : check ss
Running: Stock android kernel (3.4.x)

Also, did you get a permissive kernel or did you find a trick to use with stock kernel on tw 5.0.1?

i dont get what you said about this part "im using it with stock tw 5.0.1 since i managed to run viper on 4.4.4 stock."
are you using viper on tw 5.0.1 because you make it work on 4.4.4? that doesnt make sense.
also, how did you make viper works on tw 5.0.1 ? did you use that apk that changes the kernel to permissive?
did you do something else?
i also installed viper on t2 5.0.1 and get able to click on options but they didnt make any difference to the sound.
also, you said you will try with custom kernels...
does that mean, you make it work with stock ones? (the ones in custom tw 5.0.1 roms)
are there any custom kernel for tw 5.0.1?
Sorry for these lots of questions.

I said that ill try to flash on 5.0.1 since i was able to run viper without any errors on android 4.4.4 which was running stock mernel.
2. No i didnt successfully run the mod and system status remains abnormal inspite of me following every step to install viper
3. When i say custom kernel, PrismBarebone Rom in aurora gives you an option to flash 5 different kernels and i will try to run it in one of those kernels to see if this mod works
sorry if i wasnt clear to elaborate what you had asked for.

I've heard of similar issues from surnia users running CyanogenMod builds with the same kernel. WiFi has been working fine on my device, but I've heard from users of my kernel on surnia that WiFi misbehaves with certain routers on this kernel (failing to acquire an IP address unless static IPs are used). On surnia, scritch007 was able to solve these issues by replacing the the Motorola Pronto WLAN drivers in the kernel with versions directly from CodeAurora (Qualcomm). I had done something similar on otus and it solved the WiFi issues I was having there too. I might do something similar for the next build on osprey.
In the interim, you can try using a static IP address for WiFi and seeing if that works. A surnia user, @crazynapkinman has reported success when using a static IP. Also, I'd bet that DHCP will work fine if you tried connecting to a different router.
Squid is right. Different router = working DHCP. @squid2 i have upgraded to a sgs6. I am looking to sell my moto e 2015 4g lte. Unfortunately i wont be testing builds on this device anymore. Thanks for all that you do on here!

Hello,
in the last days i tried many different custom roms like Havoc OS or Syberia Project but all have the same issue on every custom rom is a extreme Bass Boost while listening to music over the Headphone Jack (except Oxygen OS there is the sound normal but the Rom has many bugs) . The sound is so terrible because of the Bass Bost and there is also no Equalizer on every Rom and i havent changed anything. Does anyone now a solution to fix the problem or must i flash stock MIUI ?

Hey! Try using any equalizer like AudioFX that comes pre installed with most custom ROMs. From there you can lower the bass
