with CM or stock rom? Stock is kind of on the low side, but maybe its motonormal? Originally my GS3 was also low but CM12 made it very loud. Would be nice to have moto g as loud without damaging anything.

cm12. Stock was plenty loud but this is very low.
WiFi does not work in Moto XT 1045

I've heard of similar issues from surnia users running CyanogenMod builds with the same kernel. WiFi has been working fine on my device, but I've heard from users of my kernel on surnia that WiFi misbehaves with certain routers on this kernel (failing to acquire an IP address unless static IPs are used). On surnia, scritch007 was able to solve these issues by replacing the the Motorola Pronto WLAN drivers in the kernel with versions directly from CodeAurora (Qualcomm). I had done something similar on otus and it solved the WiFi issues I was having there too. I might do something similar for the next build on osprey.
In the interim, you can try using a static IP address for WiFi and seeing if that works. A surnia user, @crazynapkinman has reported success when using a static IP. Also, I'd bet that DHCP will work fine if you tried connecting to a different router.
Squid is right. Different router = working DHCP. @squid2 i have upgraded to a sgs6. I am looking to sell my moto e 2015 4g lte. Unfortunately i wont be testing builds on this device anymore. Thanks for all that you do on here!

Not, but you can turn it on when charging by writing to a a sysfs node. This ROM provides an option to enable or disable the charging LED.
Does anyone have a working ported Moto camera with slow motion for cm12.1?

You can find option to select ringtone for second sim in dialer settings - subscription settings
Is it just me or is Hover not working as intended?
Instead of opening the app in Floating Mode, clicking on the Hover-ing notification simply open the app normally!
Any help? BTW I already flashed the ROM twice.

Hi, I have the one plus one, and I unlocked the bootloader, flashed the TWRP recovery, and then installed supersu. Everything work as it should. I wanted to try this ROM. So I did the factory reset in TWRP, flashed this ROM, and GAPPS. Rebooted and everything works, but I downloaded a Root checker and it said I was not rooted. I tried to install SuperSU from the play store, but it failed. How do I get root access at this point? Thanks in advance!!!

Screen off Gestures
I just cannot seem to get any of the screen off gestures working...I have already gone to display and my screen off gestures are turned on, yet nothing.
Anyone had any issues with the screen turning off when calling or on the phone. With the screen not turning back on

After instalation in TWRP,it says FAILED !
Does the double tap to wake option exist at all? Can't find it anywhere nor does it work straight out of the box. I'm on build 9. Can't really stand being without this feature after having it in every other rom.

SlimKat (Bacon) & AK Kernel question

Coming from LP, i've installed Slim-bacon-4.4.4.build.9.0-OFFICIAL-8300 with Slim-Addons-normal_gapps.4.4.4.build.9-20150107.zip and Full-XNPH44S-modem-flashable.
All's fine.
But i wanted to install AK Kernel.
so in Philz's revovery i did clear for new install/wipe cache and install in order SlimKat/gapps/superSU and AK.287.OPO.CM12.1 But with rebot i stay with SlimKat boot image
i ve triedf the same with AK.291.OPO.CM12.1 for the same result.
Anyone have an idea ??

Installation
1. be sure you have a custom recovery like TWRP (I use v3.0.0.0 for klte) or similar
Everyone using those Nightly's is advised to use TWRP 3.0.0.0 for SM-G900F only!!!
Wipe/Clear data/cache function is not working in TWRP 3.0.2.1 and higher!!!
2. download desired NIGHTLY and GAPPS via link from above
3. put files on your SD-card and enter recovery mode via 3 button-combo or extended menu
3. wipe data/cache/dalvik, format system
4. flash Nightly
5. flash GAPPS (if Aroma is faster than 10 seconds, flash again. Aroma full installer aborts atm)
6. wipe cache/dalvik again (optional)
7. restart and have fun with your NIGHTLY

Okay guys,
here's my report for the nightly from 10th of August.
As I can say, everything is working soft and properly except of some small issues:
- multi-user-profiles are not adjustable
When I try to set a picture or change the account name a toast-message with "contact does not exist" appears. Profiles are shown as "Owner", "New User" and "Guest".
- when in 2nd user-account sometimes new installed apps are force closed
First time I noticed this, was when installing the new user-account, google framework had a fc, but afterwards everything worked great.
Second fc was on installation of SwiftKey Keyboard. To use it, I had to switch back to "owner", then the Keyboard is shown in the options
- Bluetooth music play on my car is stuttering, when phone is in use, f. e. when radar control app is in background. BT phone was fine in my car, but I read about other users, who had the same issues with their headsets.
Thats all so far.
I hope we can start a little discussion on your experiences and faced problems.
It will be great if someone can find an official way to report issues directly to the builders of this ROM.
However, the progress of development of this ROM is remarkable!

As you can read here its a known issue that is related on missing drivers for the button sensor. So waiting is the only option that us non-developing-skills-blessed-users will have.

Yes you're right.
The CM Camera is stripped down to the bones very much. Just use third-party-apps like open camera or original google camera instead to more features. There's another project called Camera Next which is a port from the OnePlusOne. You'll find it on XDA.
Sadly, they all are not as capable as the Samsung Cam, but for a quickshot, they're fine.

Yes, but as you can see I only see the arrows and not the LTE indicator, I think may be its because my sim is on roaming.

Hi, Thanks for the Rom. It works great. I am just facing one issue.
I had Philz touch recovery and after I installed this rom, its seems like the phone isnt rooted anymore. I tried updating the recovery to latest TWRP and it didnt work and also to CM recovery, that also didnt work. Any suggestions to get the root back?

Hi,
first have a look in developer settings and switch on systemwide root access. Sometimes it get lost when flashing a new recovery. I use the TWRP 2.8.6.0 recovery. It is not buildt for the S5 duos, but it works perfect. With this recovery I never lost root access by flashing a new ROM.
BTW, CM provides a custom recovery since the Nightly 13th of August. Anyone tried this?

Thanks a ton. That did work like a charm. Now it's rooted Last recovery I flashed, was CM Custom recovery, the latest one. it does work, but honestly I havent used it that much. Just booted once.

Facing the same issue but its not this massive. just my opinion. If you like testing to get Xposed working for our Duos variant with CM 12.1 u r able to set new volume specs with V4A.

I and a close relative have compiled a MIUI ROM and this is the result. It is based off of CyanogenMod 11 4.4.4 and is intended for the Boost Mobile (CDMA) variant of the 1st gen Moto G. Practically everything works, especially all of the basics. Data, calls, texts all work out of the box (or rom in this case). Since it is practically as close to perfect as possible, and neither I nor my cousin are rom makers, it will not be further updated. It is also the first time I post up any rom, so go easy on me and ask questions, I am human and I do respond accordingly. I had to borrow a build.prop since I damaged the one it initially had.

Nice rom, however the 3G data is not working properly. I can not connect to my WiFi network and lack a good translation to Portuguese-BR working because the ROM is 98% in English and 2% in Portuguese.... waiting for a rom Miui v7

Thank you. Didn't know GPS worked as I never actually use it at all. I'm old fashion when it comes to using maps, and in the metropolitan area, trains take you anywhere with minimal need for it.

I don't think so since there have been very few roms built that can actually work with both, and since it is CDMA, I highly doubt it.

Be advised that since the system partition is rather small, you might be limited to the smaller ones like Mini, Micro, Nano and Pico. I use pico on MIUI. And be sure to check in 4.4 and not other GAPPS

It was made off of English sources and intended for Boost Mobile only. Non Boost Mobile carrier usage is something that is done at the flasher's own risk and discretion. If your carrier is CDMA, then perhaps using the proper APNs may help.

Gonna quick drop this in here, I jump back and forth between data and wifi so I use the wifi toggle a lot in the notification drop down, and once in a great while the wifi won't turn back on, so if anyone gets that same issue then just simply reboot. Hope it helps someone.

If your audio stops working then reboot, it should fix it.

This is a pretty new rom originally for the Nexus 6P I believe, that I built for the Moto G Falcon and the E 2nd Gen Surnia. It was pretty solid on them, so here it is for the E4. I used the (very impressive) repos @squid2 posted since knowing who is working on them, it'll be the way things go for this device. It will also be easier fixing things and making pull requests. Please post proper logs for any bugs you find so I can go about fixing them. I want to know who has a data connection and who doesn't and what carrier you have so we can get everyone with working data. I don't get a data connection on my Boost model yet so I can't keep a custom rom installed very long to test things. I have to kids and a wife, so that doesn't work out so well. Enjoy!
Bugs:
1. In call audio is not working yet.
2. No data on Boost Mobile variant, maybe others let me know your carrier/device model and if you have data or not.
3. Video playback isn't working unless you flash the attached zip
4. You tell me.

So flashing went fine. When I attempted to alter the APN the cellular network icon flashed rapidly. For some reason, it reverted to my old number in the Phone's information area. I am unable to use SCRTN and not sure if there is an alternate method of resetting such information as of yet. I am reverting it to stock and trying to see if I can get it to store my new number as I'm not sure if I can properly see about obtaining data access with it being the old number.
So I re-loaded my stock backup and did SCRTN. I re-flashed this ROM and set the APN to the included Sprint one and now I have 3G data. The Boost APN settings don't give me diddly.

I haven’t tried your build, but assuming it behaves similarly to my LineageOS test builds, it probably has issues with playing some videos using the source built libOmxVdec. Just as a heads up to you and anyone else trying to build ROMs for this device, you need the following patch to fix the source built libOmxVdec on MSM8917/8920: https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/193267/
My plan for the next week is to fix call audio and bring suppport for fingerprint sensor swipe gestures (similar to the stock ROM).

I have great signal with MetroPCS however there's no audio in calls, the calls work but the audio on either end doesn't.

Open the app, grant it su permissions then reboot your phone and as soon as it reboots make a call and then while the call is still connected, go to Syslog and click take log. Then upload the zip it outputs in the syslog folder on your sdcard. I ask to reboot the phone so the logs are as short as possible to have to look through.

Thanks. The length logs can be is why a lot of devs and maintainers won't accept a log unless it only contains the part with the error. You can check out something like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238 There's another good one I can't find atm.

The theme support for this rom works absolutely flawless also.... Would Xposed work on this? Or should I just stick with magisk?

I haven't tried, so I can't say. I don't see why it wouldn't though. You could always try the Magisk Xposed.

Eh there's really no need, adblock and greenify work with magisk, and I don't need gravity box because this rom has almost everything I need.
Its good to see a dev working on this device. I don't have the variant this will work on but am very happy to see it being worked on. Keep up the good work.
Xposed systemless works great, I'm about to be testing out resurrection now.
this one is my favorite out of all of them so im gonna keep using it. i hope the call problem gets sorted eventually.
