Hi everyone,
I am looking everywhere about NFC capability on my LG LG50 D213AR phone.
International sites, mention that the L50 comes with NFC chip, but my local carrier here in Argentina cuts the original firmware and the option is not placed at settings/networks.
I tried installing NFC patches posted on this forum, but the stock recovery did not allow me to install unsigned zip packages. If I install CWM I lose warranty and I need to be sure that the phone comes with the chip first.
Other difference between international L50 and this, is that mine comes with 5MP camera instead of 3.15 (international version).
Also, there is any way to install a temporary CWM like the one developed by the i9100 to flash this without modifying the stock recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/mod-nfc-enabler-t1822447 ?
Regards!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, if not just move it. TY
I have an Xperia Z3 SO-01G from Japan.
I updated it with the latest firmware from xperifirm, however, the lollipop version is only 5.02 and they don't have 5.1.1 from Docomo
When I use the generic firmware NFC doesn't work.
My question is, is it possible to use the generic firmware and just extract the NFC drivers from the docomo firmware?
I want to use the generic firmware with the latest version of lollipop with no issues regarding the drivers.
I will highly appreciate if someone could help.
Thanks a lot
Id also love to hear if this is possible. Same phone and same issue
First, to clarify, there is no 100% working method to port NFC firmware from Japanese variants to Global firmware. Sony Japan uses different method to encrypt the drivers of all Japanese model, and it can be only used by using the required firmware.
Secondly, if you want to use NFC badly, STAY WITH STOCK. There is NO USE updating the software to 5.1.1 since the stock software from those network providers is fully compatible with the devices.
If you just want to use NFC for devices to devices connection, you can port the whole NFC packages and firmware from the stock rom and flash it to the Global one (I don't have SO-01G but the SOL26 from KDDI AU, and the package is call NFC Osafu/Keitai).
And if you are not using NFC really much, you can just disable the package from root.
Note: I used to obsessed with new OSes and try to do as much as I can to port every apks from Japanese firmware to Global, but after then I realized: Tons of bugs shown in catlogs, unstable system, apps crashed a lot, overheating even when not using (with NFC-Wifi-Bluetooth disabled too, no background apps), etc...
Now I'm sticking with the stock from providers and happy with it.
Thanks N0K0m3
I'm not so much obsessed with having the latest latest software as I am about root. I'd go back to 5.0.2 (or whatever the current global) firmware if NFC still worked. I don't suppose I could flash the previous kernel on top of this ROM and everything would be honky dory.
Any more advice you have is welcomed. I'm sure I'm not the only person curious.
Thanks again
this is my work long time ago for firmware (23.1.A.62), can not guarantee 100% working with NFC driver, because I don't have condition to test.
If you like, you can flash it as flashing prerooted zip.

if wifi get problem, after flashing rom, flash this fix

Hi all,
I own a P907 for several months. When purchasing I thought I can flash a custom recovery and flash any rom I want.
It seems the AT&T Bootloader is unchangeable.
I had an idea…
I hard briked my LG D855 (G3) and brought it back to life with a procedure I found on the XDA forums, JTAG, writing directly to the board (needed to open the device).
Is it possible to write directly to the board and then it will be possible to flash a custom recovery?
Thank you.

P907A and P905V acutually are identical tablets but bootloader is locked by provider, P907A is from AT&T, P905V is from Verizon.
As long as bootloader is locked, you cannot flash different firmware to your tablet. Try to flash by Odin, you'll see it fails immediately.
I can swap mainboard of P907A to a P905V tablet or vice versa without any problem because the hardware is identical.
The P900 Wifi version, bootloader is not locked, you can flash whatever firmware you want.
I was wondering the same thing about my P905V. Would a hardware flasher work to write the P905 bootloader to it? It's such a shame that this very expensive tablet is stuck on a bloated and outdated Android version. At this point, it's so slow I wouldn't mind risking destroying it to try to get CM14.1.
Has anyone tried this conversion?
any updates on this matter ? as i would like to install any ROM with android 7 / 8 or 9
Hi everyone. I just got my hands on a Chinese Honor 6x, EMIU v4.1 (not yet upgraded) build number BLN-AL10C00B172.
I need to be able to use Google apps, more specifically Play Store to use the device as a regular android here in France. I also want the best stability possible, so I guess the official ROM is the only one I want to use (upgraded version).
My question is: what is the best way to proceed?
Can I just flash the Google apps on the device? or should I flash a new ROM entirely? If so do you have any recommendation on which ROM to use (considering LTE bands and overall compatibility), and maybe a complete tutorial for boot loader unlocking and flashing?
Thanks for your help
Download Open Gapps. Choose Nano or Pico. And flash.
You can also install Aptoide as a 2nd software center.
Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I have rooted before (long time ago) but I can't seem to find a lot of information on this specific phone (SM-J727S). I have been searching online (and across many dodgy looking websites, thanks No Script!) and this is about all that I have found:
The Galaxy J7 is also known as the Galaxy Wide 2 in South Korea
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11601&c=samsung_sm-j727s_galaxy_wide_2
It was released on May 2017, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and uses the Exynos chipset
TWRP has a release for the J700 series but I'm not sure if it would work on the J727S
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj7exynos.html
The source code for the system has been released, but I couldn't find a stock ROM (which made me reluctant to try TWRP)
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=j727s
This is the closest I got to a Stock ROM but I don't trust the site, is this site trustworthy? (again, I came across too many dodgy sites to just download anything)
https://stockromupdate.com/2017/07/26/stock-rom-sm-j727s-samsung-galaxy-wide-2/
The KingRoot method currently will not work and is asking me to wait for an update (phone is probably too new to root?)
The closest thing I can find on this forum are these posts (but none reference the J727S model)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-td-lte-t3611202
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-galaxy-j7-t3598117
So, I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
I'd thought I'd mention that the bootloader is unlockable in this phone. I had read elsewhere that other people cannot access the 'OEM Unlock' option on their version of the J7. It isn't the case with this phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-pop-galaxy-halo-t3647805/page2
I also got a message from Google talking about my accounts being accessed by a 'J7 Pop'. I guess the Galaxy Wide 2 is also known as the J7 Pop?
So, I'm still on the track of rooting this device. I'm just gonna update any relevant stuff here.
The closest TWRP that I can find is for the 2016 version of this phone, it has the same Exynos chipset.
I'm thinking of trying this, but are there any problems with flashing the wrong version of TWRP? (Will I brick the phone? Or will it just error-out on recovery and boot normally?)
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj72016exynos.html
I also found (what I believe to be) the Stock ROM for this type of phone, you have to sign up to the site in order to download it. It is specific to SK Telecom (Korean telecommunications provider)
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/samsung-galaxy/SM-J727S/SKC/download/J727SKSU1AQD6/172065/
If someone can advise about going forward with the similar TWRP version I'd appreciate it. Cheers!
EDIT: Kinda answered my own question, from the TWRP download page https://dl.twrp.me/j7xelte/
Downloading an image for a different device, no matter how similar, usually does not work.

Any way to request an TWRP version?
I am Korean, and it's very hard It's angry me............................
XDDDD I'm from South Korea too and the J727S is customized with the Knox Enrollment Service that blocks the wifi and cellular data AND apk installization. (trying to uninstall it )
I found this: https://www.androidinfotech.com/2018/02/root-samsung-galaxy-wide-2-sm-j727s-nougat.html
anyone habe twrp for this model ????
Hi.. I've this model also.. tried to downgrade..but it can't..always failed
My friend was installing the twrp to root a J7 metal.
Now the cell phone does not restart, and I do not know what the **** it did KKkkkkkkkkkk
It wants to remove the twrp without formatting the device.
If installing the original rom by Odin using home_csc does it return to normal without formatting?
Restore

Hello members,
Myphone: Galaxy A13 5G SM-A136B
I would like to use a 64-bit Android OS system with this phone.
The factory ROM is 32-bit.
I need a complete installation guide. And custom rom, custom kernel.
No one uses this? I won't choose another phone.
sorry i got one as a present but even thought i used weird aliexpress brand before (and acer) even though they had no guides i could follow the mediatek chipset guides more or less i hate brands like my first dvd player from sony complaining about region locks. I never had that before on the cheap stuff (just saying mainstream brands are usually more trouble and for more money.) but tried many of the same generated guides that say backup your phone before you start( i like that idea but before you can really backup you need root and fastboot seems to be non funtional these days cant we just mount a stock firmware img copy our needed root files in it and burn that like it is stock?) those img file are basiccaly just partions with files on it on intenal flash mem. at least i learned how to flash stock firmware after many failed root attempts and boot loops. i hope you find your info
