[Q] Way to keep sound on N5 when casting screen - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know of a way to keep the sound playing on the phone while "casting the screen" I'm not talking about youtube/netflix.. in app casting. I'm talking about mirroring the phone. I'd love to use the headsetplugged in to my phone for sound instead because i'm casting it through a monitor and this this monitor doesn't have ANYTHING related to audio (no hdmi, no headphone jack, no speakers.... none, nothing). Thanks!

[Q] Stereo sound using phone and media speaker?

We now know the G2X has only one media speaker, and I was a bit bothered watching videos and the sound comes from only one side. Maybe I am just expecting too much from a phone, but I was wondering if it was possible to make use of the speaker (the one you use for regular phone calls) to create a stereo effect to a listener directly in front of the phone.
I am aware this speaker can't output as high a volume as the media speaker on the bottom of the phone. Is it possible to have this speaker output at a volume such that the media speaker match it in a relatively similar volume so that the listener directly in front of the screen can hear stereo sound? That is if it is even possible to route the sound to output from both speakers at the same time.
If possible, maybe someone with the experiences can add this feature into a custom firmware?

[Q] Sound Notifications not taking away audio

I use my phone for movies and music output to my tv. Is there a way to stop notifications from switching sound to them and stopping my audio for a little bit.

Volume for jack 3.5 output on Philips 49PUS7272

Hi,
So first of all I hope I am posting in the right forum! And that the issue has not been addressed already (I couldn't find it via search...)! If I'm wrong on any of these please excuse me
So here's my issue:
I bought a Philips 49PUS7272, which runs on Android TV. I works like a charm, but as most TVs, the speakers are kinda ****ty.
It's an issue for me, as I plan to use it as my main media center, for movies/TV but also music from google play music/youtube...
So I plugged my amplified speakers to it via the 3.5 jack output (my speakers only have RCA or jack input).
It works, but in order to adjust the volume I have to go through the Settings>Sound>Headphone Volume, if I adjust the volume directly with the remote, it only has effect on the TV speaker but none on the jack output
So it is quite annoying to go through about 10 clicks before modifying the volume.
I checked and I have the possibility to disable the TV speakers completely in the settings, so at least they do not annoy me anymore, but still I would like to be able to control the volume on the speakers directly through the volume buttons on the remote...
Anyone has an idea ?
Thanks a lot !
Edit: I don't know and couldn't find what processor is on this TV ...

Tanix TX3 Mini-H sound problem

Hello! I need some help. It seems that my Tanix TX3 Mini-H Android box device turns off audio output when sound volume is low. If I watch a movie and audio dynamic range is high (some scenes are too low volume, you can barely hear them) on low volume parts the sound cuts off with a distinctive click sound. It comes on as soon as the volume gets a bit higher with the same click (crackle, pop) sound, like the audio output is turned back on. In some scenes sound goes on and off for a few times and all you can hear is that clicking, crackling noise. If audio stream in a movie is normalized (low dynamic range, i guess) everything sounds ok. There is no desync or anything. Device has s905w chip, Android Nougat 7.1.2 and is hooked up to a FullHD TV with a HDMI cable and nothing else. I tried different cables and different HDMI inputs on TV, still the same. Changed around audio options (PCM, HDMI Raw, SPDIF Raw) - always the same. Only thing that helps is to amplify the volume of a video in Kodi. I can clearly hear this issue in Android menu, when I am selecting app icons. Before and after every "select sound" (sound Android makes when i select icon with a remote) I can hear that same click. It's like the device turns on it's audio output, plays the sound, then turns it off. At least that's what I think it's happening. First i thought it was the tv but I have an IPTV box hooked up on HDMI for a quite some time now and it never made such a problem. Can I do something to fix this?

Stock S7 sound crackle

Whenever I play any media the sound is complete fine - unrelated to speaker crackle or bluethoot crackle. I don't think it is a hardware issue or an app issue. Not headphones either - I tried a few.
The thing is whenever the sound cuts off (or is extremely low) - depending on how the media was made, I hear a crackle like when you put a needle on a record player. As if the lack of sound makes the phone try to boost it instead of cut it off and I get noise.
For example I get crackle when changing songs or when a Youtube video starts and stops and some of them have it in the video itself, because audio can be cut on multiple places throughout the video.
You can see (hear) how this can get annoying.
I tried all the sound options, but nothing seems to change it, one guy even suggested sound issues can be related to the dinamic oled screen option, but that doesn't fix it either.
Does anyone know something about that?
