Help needed as I'm thinking about giving up - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Firstly I apologise for actually posting as I've spent a week trying to not be a twat and to fix it myself but alas I'm at the end of my tether.
OK I have a Tab 2 10.1 P5100 (thus with sim). I originally got it about 3 years ago in Poland and their OTAs are about as frequent as, well, they never happened. So, over the years whilst working there I flashed via Odin various official updates to get it up to scratch. Last one being Jelly Bean.
Everything has been fine until a week ago when suddenly it would boot, get to the log in screen, let me enter my pin, work for 10 seconds and then suddenly reboot. It's an endless loop but it's not stuck on booting up it just crashes ONCE started up fully.
It won't connect to Kies. Now, this is probably the rubbish cable (This is the third official cable in 3 years I've goe thru). The system restore option from manual booting does nothing and wipes nothing so I've been trying to just load an official ROM from the SD..that does nothing.
It starts to install and then goes back to the "no command" screen.
Can I simply download something onto the SD and install from there? the zip files I keep trying dont work.
Any advice is appreciated!

[Q] Galaxy S2 Soft Bricked after root....

Hi everyone!! New here, but not new to Forums in general. I searched around and couldn't find my exact issue, so I figured I’d start a new thread. This is gonna be kinda long, but I wanna give as many details as I can to keep things accurate.
My wife and I both have the Galaxy S2 T989 (T-Mobile). Both purchased like new off eBay. When I got hers a couple months ago, as soon as I got it I factory reset and wiped the caches, upgraded to JB via Kies, and then turned right around and rooted it via Odin using the instructions found on galaxys2root.com. Everything went flawless, took me less than a half an hour total for everything. I got mine a couple months later and did the exact same process as soon as I got it in the mail. However after rooting on Odin and getting the green pass just like hers, it got stuck in a boot loop when it rebooted. It would go as far as the "galaxy S2" splash screen, and sometimes past that to where the Android takes off, then reboot, or freeze. It then became unresponsive to any button pushes and I had to pull the battery to get it to shut off (The battery is a new OEM Samsung battery incidentally). I ultimately had to unroot, re-install ICS and re-upgrade back to JB via Kies again to get out of the loop. I did this whole process 3 times to make sure it wasn’t something I did. So I’m still running unrooted with JB on it now.
The only thing I noted that was kinda odd was that when I open Rom Manager in my current non rooted state, it shows that I already have CWM and TWRP installed on it. Even though when I go to recovery mode it's the standard OEM Samsung menu. I never installed TWRP, and CWM was only on it for a bit when I was in the boot loop. Could this be my issue? Are they both still somewhere on my phone interfering with each other and I can only see them via ROM manager?
Sorry for such a long first post, and thanks in advance!

hi,
can 'be that your device has some residual old. Do as you have advised. install a stock rom and firmware, so it becomes a new cell phone. After odin starts TWRP (much better) and root.
I would flash a complete bone stock Rom using Odin and start over. Also rom manager was highly discouraged on the AT&T version of the s2 so I don't know what the stance is on T-Mobile's version

Thanks for the advice! Should i flash it back to ICS then try to root again via Odin before i upgrade back to JB? I'm guessing there's something that isn't getting wiped. Since i can run CWM and Root with Odin without a hitch. it's the initial reboot after all that is done that I go into the boot loop.

Sorry for my ignorrance, what exactly is TWRP, and is it now on there because i used Odin and it installed it automaticly? And do i want to use this vice CWM?
One more question...before i try all this, can i backup everything on Kies just like i would be able to with CWM and reinstall if my root fails again? I've only used Kies for firmware upgrade, never to reinstall a backed up copy of my phone.
Thanks!

Hi
TWRP and the 'one touch recovery, better than CWM.
The backup kies can not recover from CWM
steps:
install odin, after recovery, nandroid backup, ROM, and root.
hi
Flash the stock firmware using odin!!..it will work!

freezes then booted
Hello I have this problem with my galaxy s2 i9100. After reboot the phone wasn't booting something like "boot loop" so I re flashed the firmware and now the phone boots up but after the boot it freezes immediately. So I decided to install clock work mod recovery and install cyanogen mode 11 with cyanogen mode the phone boots up and are able to be used again until the screen goes to sleep mode or the power button is pressed then the screen goes black and doesn't turn on after long pressing the power button it reboots. So I don't know what else to do I have tried kernels, operating systems re flashing reseting and nothing helps. No need to tel me to do resettings. Also my galaxy s2 i9100 chip has insane chip bug but I don't know if it has to do something with my problem.

[Q] S3 stuck at FIrmware upgrade encountered an issue

So I have had my S3 rooted for a long while. But the past few weeks it's been running a bit slower. This week it started randomly turning off. I thought it was my battery at first. But then when I tried to turn it back on it got stuck at the Galaxy s3 screen and would not get into the OS.
I tried to get into recovery, it froze on the splash screen. I made sure both were actually frozen by leaving it sitting there for 30 min to an hour.
Tried to flash using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
It kept just sitting at writing NAND.
Now my phone says "Firmare Upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again"
Kies will not connect my device. It sees it but will not complete the connection. I tried using the model and IMEI number to upgrade firmware but it still would not connect to do that.
More searching lead me to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166&page=11
But I can't get into OS or recovery so I don't think this would work.
Any suggestions on what I can do from here? I only really need the phone to work for a few more months. My old Droid incredible just doesn't cut it at this point.
Sorry to bump, but nobody has anything for this? I haven't really found any other options.
Your bootloader is fine so that thread won't help you. What was the last version of touch wiz that was on your phone before you ran into problems?

[SOLVED] [Q] GT-P5113 Reboot Loop Plz Help

I ended up sending this to Samsung for repair. Luckily my tab was still under warranty. It took them 3 times to finally get it fixed correctly. First time they replaced the main board and the data link cable plug. When I got it back it lasted about an hour before it started doing the reboot loop again. So I sent it back and that time that did a software upgrade, but they obviously didn't even test it before sending it back cuz it only lasted 30 min. then it started with the reboot loop. Before I sent it back for the 3rd time I got in contact with a manager cuz I was so frustrated at this point. That time I sent the tablet directly to her to make sure it was fixed and tested before sending it back to me. I've had it for about 2 weeks now with no problems. They replaced the main board again. So either they gave me a faulty one the first time they "fixed" it or they didn't do anything to it.
So if your tab is stuck in the reboot loop and there's nothing you can do to make it stop, contact Samsung.
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and got to use it for about 5 days.
Woke up in the middle of the night cuz I kept hearing the start up sound to my tablet. So what it does is starts up then I get a prompt saying "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" I click ok and then another prompt that says "Unfortunately, Goole+ has stopped" with the choice of clicking "Report" of "Ok" then the screen freezes and it all starts again.
So I have about 3 - 5 seconds after it starts up and I've tried going in and doing a system restore but it crashes before I can do that. I have manged to go in and delete my google account but when it restarts my account is back.
So then I tried using the Odin3 program with every different file that I could find that would be compatible with my tab and it shows that it installs fine but nothing ever changes on the tab it self. I have tried using the Pit file and the stock rom, the stock rom alone, the pit file alone, twrp open recovery, clockwork open recovery, CF Auto Root, but no luck. I have tried having the auto reboot on and off and then rebooting it myself, still no change.
When I go into recovery mode it shows the android with a red triangle. and of course if I try to install anything from there it always does the signature fail. Which I'm guessing cuz it's not rooted. So at this point I am wondering is there a way to just completely wipe everything off and start completely over? I have wasted so much time on this POS I'm about to just throw it away. Any advice would be more greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Im a new member. Im have the same trouble also.
there is an endless restart cycle, and my tablet can last only for around 10 to 15 seconds power on then it will restart again and repeat the process until the battery die.
I can only power off if i connect to the power supply.
I already tried ODIN with several stock PDA files, root with CWM and philtouch, but nothing happens. Everything is passed but there is no change on the about devices after the reboot. Then it continue the endless restart again.
When i boot in original recovery, there is an error already. if i flash zip file root, there is an error in signature.
Please help me brothers and sisters.
Any luck figuring this problem out?

N8013 stuck at samsung logo

Hello;
several days ago, suddenly my N8013 restarted. After rebooting, it stuck at Samsung logo, and I couldn't go to Recovery mode. I flashed an official rom from sammobile. the process was passed but my N8013 problem didn't solve.
What's the solution? Is it a hardware problem??
I don't know exactly what happened, mine did the same thing. I fiddled around with it enough that i got it to reload back to samsung 'new' but it never recovered where it was at the time it went haywire. I installed Kies on my PC and let it update the kernel to the latest stock. I had not rooted or anything up to that point. it just went kapuut. Now I am rooted and tried a couple ROMS, but so far I keep coming back to stock because I can't get something or another to work right (or at least the way I am used to)

Samsung M30s Boot loop

After a recent major update in February, the apps started downloading from samsung store which I've disabled prior to update. All of a sudden my screen got hung and i've restarted and thought it's pretty normal but to my surprise it got struck in the boot loop. I took to s samsung service center and they said they would hard reset but after 15 minutes to my surprise they said something might be wrong with the board and they said they have to replace the board and it would cost me 7k. After a day to my surprise it started normally and after 5 minutes it froze and once again into boot loop. It happened twice but now i'm unable to do this again. I downloaded odin, the latest firmware, but whenever i connect my usb cable it says "USB not recognised'. I've installed the samsung drivers, checked on multiple usb ports, another pc ...Earlier when i got into download mode..it's green with download image and couple of lines. But now i see Product name, binary and many other text..Can anyone help me out?
I have also kind of same problem.. but my phone keep restarting whenever i used it for 2,3 minutes.
I tried installing latest firmware through odin . Still no changes.
I also tried a custom rom called priesh os which is based on one ui 3.0 .
Nothing works.
