Not unless both the host and the controller have some kind of an app. Ask your friend to factory reset the device and delete everything on it.

Hey, today I accidently hardbricked my 3D(yeah accidently, cause I messed up Phones). Now I have to send it to service. Anybody else had to do the same? Did LG always repair or change your Phone? Just asking cause I want to know if sending it to service makes sense. Honestly, I think it wouldn't be easy even for LG to make the Phone working again.
Not so bad
it's hard to say forsure, but if you were a tech and were judged on how many phones you fixed per hour, would you spend a lot of time figuring out whether the owner bricked it by being stupid or just try to fix it?
I mean a smashed screen is easy to spot and say "not our fault" but digitally that's not so easy.
Secondly, they have access to tools that you don't. I'm sure they have test-beds and internal connections that allow them to restore firmwares easier, or for that matter, replace main boards.
...but I don't know, I don't have direct experience with LG.
Yeah that's what I also think. I'm sure they have access to programs to which I do not, but that's exactly the strange thing. I read that many users with a hardbricked Optimus 3D got a new main board or a new Phone. So if they are able to restore the firmware, why would they change the hardware? The only answer I can give myself is that they don't really care about whose fault it really is and because of that they don't check.

Hey brate,
Why don't you take a chance? You have a paperweight anyway. Try, if it works, bingo. If it doesn't, you still have your paperweight. Don't waste another minute and send it for repair.

I already sent it to LG, I'm sure it will work. I just asked because I was thinking all the time about changing phone. But I think they won't even check

Ok, sooo I am new to the forum..not the tech savviest-BUT I have some questions about my new galaxy S3.
I got my phone Galaxy S3 from spring not too long ago. 1 month in dropped it in its face-completely shattered.-thankfully I had insurance.
NOW.. When I got the new phone it came back with a DEVICE ADMIN:com.sec.sprextension.phoneinfo.deviceAdminPhoneInfoReciever ..which has some pretty gnarly privileges- and thats an understatement-THIS **** LOOKS LIKE SPYWARE. I called my carrier and they said this is normal but I have a hunch that it is not, and anytime I meet someone with ans S3 I ask to look at their phone and they don't have it.
So on a mission to take control of my phone-I did root it, but again I'm not tech savvy so I don't really know what I can do with that..All I know is that I can NOT deactivate it even with the root. Can anyone shed some light on this??

After reading the title of your post then the content I'm confused.
Why would you want to change the IMEI? In a lot of areas it's illegal unless the manufacturer changes it.
As far your phone misbehaving. If it has happened on more than one phone then it is likely it's because of something your installing.
Do a factory reset after backing up to a PC / Cloud anything you wish to keep.
Try using the phone without installing any additional software for a while and see if the problem occurs, if it doesn't then it's down to a misbehaving app.
If the problem does occur without installing anything else then return it to where you bought it and ask for a replacement / refund.

Hi , im new here and really need some advice.
I purchased a Z3 this week and bought it second hand , even though it is new but without box. I found out it has the dreaded demo app installed because i think it was ex-display in a phone shop. Once i plug in the charge it deletes my photos, contacts, apps etc. and comes up with the demo video. Iv'e tried the codes people usually use and done something else using the computer someone suggested ,but nothing works. I was thinking about rooting the phone but after looking on forums i can't seem to find anything to explain how to root it or even if it's possible yet because its a new phone. Iv'e tried to delete the app it has but it just keeps coming back. So need to find someone way that is like rooting the phone to get access to delete it permanently. If anyone can help , would be much appreciated. Thanks:good:
