So, after rooting my Orange Rono (finally), and getting the most of my phone, I decided to change the boot animation.
I changed one time, the phone rebooted ok, but it was pretty low-res, so then I tried an Android L 1080p 60fps boot animation,
after reboot it slowly shutters and then freezes completely, thing from I can go back only by resetting to factory and wiping cache.
Then I reboot the phone and get a bootloop, restart it and it boots fine, then it updates apps and stuff.
If I restart it again, I get the same problem.
The same behavior I saw being described by: The Dark Defender in the thread [SOLVED!] Help with bootanimation resolution at post #5:
Another problem
@metpolds The bootanimation you made is perfect, but for some reason my phone slowly stutters than freezes on almost the last couple of frames. The only way to stop it is to launch fastboot mode and go into recovery and system restore to a backup I luckily did not too long ago. It did this with another bootanimation as well. Hmm definitely phone related. It really stinks because I know it isn't a problem with the animations. Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Oh, and also don't know if it'll help but right before it freezes the screen's brightness drastically dims, almost like when it unlocks.
EDIT: Fixed! Turns out my boot logos need to be mp4 format because im using stock ROM. I'll get the hang of things eventually lol.

.
So, my question is, can a boot animation cause this kind of problem?
It probably is a memory overflow/leak.
Managed to root again, installed another boot animation, everything is back to normal.
But, can anyone explain me why it does this?

May be the bootanimation resolution and frames aren't compatible with your phone
Hit thanks if helped
Download Boot animations for Your Phone or try any 3rd Party app!

Its fixed. It seems that it was stuck and just needed that extra kick with another ROM. Not really sure what the hell happened but its working fine now.
Please delete post.
Yesterday I plugged the HOS into my laptop and it started to act a little weird. It wouldn't show the SDcard but it allowed me to open it. I copied a new ROM to it and installed it. Since I did this, the phone will not work. Once it boots, it just freezes and reboots when I try and do anything. The nand allows me to boot and scroll through the home screens, but if I try and do anything else it freezes and reboots. I can't install any other ROM that's not sense base like AOKP or MIUI as they just boot loop. I can get to recovery and the boot loader no problem.
Update: I can boot a stock nand and get into the app drawer. But, once I click on an app or pull down the notification bar it freezes.
Update 2: Was able to get the cyan alpha to install after a good 5 minutes of bootloops and it runs perfect. WTF is going on here?? haha
Can anyone give me any suggestions to try? Thanks for any help that you can provide me.
After updating to Jelly Jean I've decided to wipe the phone in order to start clean and that's when everything started.
After wiping the phone it just didn't turn on automatically and everytime I've tried to do it I ended up on an Android animation, the same we get when we update the system, and anything happens, the animation goes away and the screen gets black.
So I've searched and found a way to get into the boot options and selected "Normal Boot" and everything seemed to be fine, but then I went out of baterry and after a full charge the Android animation came back. I did all the boot thing over again and now everytime I have to restart the phone I have to boot manually.
Can you guys help me?
Had exactly the same pub when I upgraded from its to job ota... And it's not the first time I read about this here. The only stable fix for me was to download rsd lite + the full firmware and to flash it through fast boot mode. This definitely looks like a corrupted upgrade.
I'm gonna send it back to Moto. Thanks for helping.
my phone is ZTEblade. I installed BOOT ANIMATIONS (ROOT) App on the store. I got so careless in changing my Boot Animations. by clicking the Download and Install, when i pick this weird animation, then i download it , and it install automatically on my device. when i reboot my device, its stock on the Animation , and never end , my phone got really hot. and it still on the animation. I've tried resetting / hard reset several times, but nothing's change. When i turn on my device, it still stock on the animation. (PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS) is there any way to SKIP the Boot Animation? or something..
Hello all!
Just got my One +1 today and I have an odd problem with it. Whenever I try to reboot it or reboot to install an update, it hangs up at the One +1 boot screen. I have to shut the phone down for a few minutes before it will start up again and it won't install updates to CM. So far I've tried going into Fastboot (hangs up at CM logo), factory reset (hangs up at One +1 logo), and even just plain reboot (One +1) logo.
It seems to work fine otherwise and I can power off and power back on again, but this is more than annoying. Has anyone encountered this before and have any wisdom to share so I can get past this?
Well, it seems to have fixed itself somehow.. Not exactly sure what went right, but there is hope if anyone else has the same problem.

Hi,
Do you use a Samsung tablets?
If yes, you shouldn't disable the boot animation because Samsung use non-standard bootanimation format (they use .qmg while the others use .zip format. Disable bootanimation will cause bootloops on versions newer than Jelly Bean. If you're lucky to bypass the black screen bootanimation, you should place back bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, and shutdown.qmg to /system and set correct permissions (rw-r--r--).
If no, can you tell me the brand you use?
