[Q] BootBox Boot Loop

Hey All!
I am having a problem with my Motorola RAZR XT907. I installed BootBox from the Google Play store. I installed a boot animation, and rebooted my phone. At first, I thought all was fine and dandy when I saw my boot animation start the way I wanted it to. The boot animation did not stop for 2 hours. I booted my device into recovery, and then performed a factory reset. The phone started up normally with the exception of the new boot logo. I re-set-up my phone and then rebooted my phone. My phone has now been repeating the boot animation for the past hour. I know that the phone is running normally, because it gets notification sounds. I cannot access it via Android Device Manager. The boot animation is running over the working OS. Please help me!!!!!

Hello nrsmac, I'm the developer of Boot Box.
The 540x960 resolution is not supported by Boot Box at this time, I believe that you tried to install an animation that was intended for a different resolution.
I assume that you already solved this issue by now, please let me know how so that I can log this for future reference (email me if possible).

[Q]Can a wrong bootanimation cause the phone to stop while booting?

So, after rooting my Orange Rono (finally), and getting the most of my phone, I decided to change the boot animation.
I changed one time, the phone rebooted ok, but it was pretty low-res, so then I tried an Android L 1080p 60fps boot animation,
after reboot it slowly shutters and then freezes completely, thing from I can go back only by resetting to factory and wiping cache.
Then I reboot the phone and get a bootloop, restart it and it boots fine, then it updates apps and stuff.
If I restart it again, I get the same problem.
The same behavior I saw being described by: The Dark Defender in the thread [SOLVED!] Help with bootanimation resolution at post #5:
Another problem
@metpolds The bootanimation you made is perfect, but for some reason my phone slowly stutters than freezes on almost the last couple of frames. The only way to stop it is to launch fastboot mode and go into recovery and system restore to a backup I luckily did not too long ago. It did this with another bootanimation as well. Hmm definitely phone related. It really stinks because I know it isn't a problem with the animations. Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Oh, and also don't know if it'll help but right before it freezes the screen's brightness drastically dims, almost like when it unlocks.
EDIT: Fixed! Turns out my boot logos need to be mp4 format because im using stock ROM. I'll get the hang of things eventually lol.

So, my question is, can a boot animation cause this kind of problem?
It probably is a memory overflow/leak.
Managed to root again, installed another boot animation, everything is back to normal.
But, can anyone explain me why it does this?

May be the bootanimation resolution and frames aren't compatible with your phone

Hi,
Do you use a Samsung tablets?
If yes, you shouldn't disable the boot animation because Samsung use non-standard bootanimation format (they use .qmg while the others use .zip format. Disable bootanimation will cause bootloops on versions newer than Jelly Bean. If you're lucky to bypass the black screen bootanimation, you should place back bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, and shutdown.qmg to /system and set correct permissions (rw-r--r--).
If no, can you tell me the brand you use?

[Completed] [Q] Moto X 2014 boot problem

Recently I tried to install a custom bootanimation. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...ogo-bootlogo-bootanimation-exclusive-t3025767) . I discovered it doesnt work with my phone. All I had was a "boot loader unlocked " message. If i restart the phone, it always got stuck on the message. If i do a hard reset, theres no bootanimation. Also every hard reset comes with a 250 app otimization, which takes ~1 hour. The problem isnt that. I already replaced the custom bootanimation with the default one, deleted the new one and it got stuck in boot too. How to fix it?

Lenovo A2107A-F stuck in bootloop.

Hello. I recently acquired a Lenovo A2107A-F tablet from a friend. I rooted it using an app I downloaded from the play store. The app did root it and was working fine. I then downloaded another app (can not remember the name) that allowed me to tweak/change settings, files, etc. I used that app to change the boot animation to a doctor who animation. Still working fine till the other day. I decided to change the animation to something different. This time I changed it to a Jurassic Park animation. That's when it stopped working. It will boot up and the animation will start and then the animation freezes the screen but the tablet keeps continuing to boot up. I went into the factory reset menu via the pwr bottun/vol + button and reset the eCCM (I think that is the right) to reset the tablet to factory. Didn't work. It's still doing the same thing. I have looked through a bunch of threads on this website and tried a lot of different stuff and I can't get anything to work. I think the main problem is I can not get my computer to recognize my tablet. I am running Windows 10 and all the drivers I've found don't appear to work and my computer wont let me open any files that contain executable code. Any and all help with this will be appreciated. Thanks!
