Hi All,
I've recent bought a Bloom Case, but anytime I try to install its app baseus site, in order to manage the right translucent band, I get an error: App not installed.
The case itself without the software is pretty pointless.
Has anyone faced the same issue before? I'm running the latest lollipop official firmware.
Thanks

Damn looks cool too bad its been getting horrible reviews.
I just ordered mine from Amazon. Will arrive in about two weeks. I noticed you mentioned you had the official Lollipop firmware installed? Perhaps the Android version you're running isn't compatible with the app?
I'm running the latest stock KitKat firmaware. Will see if it works when it arrives. I'll report back when it does. Cheers!
I purchased my case, the software is buggy to say the least but still love it. I'm still on stock KitKat & had no issues with software installation. I get many compliments on it for its uniqueness. The music feature doesn't work (it only plays a second or two of music then stops), drains battery, interface is sometimes difficult to press icons and software is in Chinese language. All these negative things against it but I still love it. The look and feel is top notch and again very unique side bar interface. I bought 2, full black & red with black side bar interface. Both on eBay one from China for under $7 and one locally in the states for under $16

Which sensor the app is using to detect the cover door? is it Proximity Sensor?
Might I ask what phone you have. The site says it is only compatible with 1 of the versions.

So my case arrived today. Installed the software and I have to say although I can't get the Cloud (weather) icon to do anything, I like this case. It adds a little more privacy than the S-View case. Even the notifications are more discreet. With that said, there are a few quirks like the music player only playing a second or two of music (when the cover is closed), and the icons staying on until you press the power key. Hope these get addressed at some point, but these aren't deal breakers to me. The feel of the case is like thin soft leather and the inside is lined with light felt. Anyway, for $13 on Amazon, I think it's a bargain if you're looking for a flip cover type case. This case is like the Note Edge, without the Edge part. ?

Remarks : I do 30-50 emails daily on S5.
It looks cool, though I worry about the magnet doing something to the phone over time. Probably unfounded though.
Otherwise, yeah, I've been waiting for some sort of S5 equivalent to this:
No one has comment... any one using it? Good keys for typing?
RodimusConvoy, where is your picture from? It has no S5 model yet?
It looks nice too

As far as I know, there are no versions of this for the S5, there's only versions for the S3 and S4.
I'm not sure who originally made it, as a bunch of copycats/clones have popped up. I originally saw it at Minisuit, but when I go to the website I see its no longer available. But if you put "sliding bluetooth keyboard" in parenthesis in Google, you'll get hits including where to buy it. For instance, NewEgg has it.
Though that doesn't help if you own the S5 . What you showed may be the only alternative for people who want a keyboard with the S5. And it doesn't look bad, just wondering about that magnet.
I've always been curious about this kind of case. I was looking at this one. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/galaxy-s5-slide-out-bluetooth-qwerty-keyboard-black-p45647.htm
Sorry, I haven't used one myself...
EDIT:
On closer inspection, I don't think those pictures are the S5... S4 maybe?

Its an S4. The phone in that picture is identical to the one in the pic I posted. That site is pulling a fast one. If you look at the S5, those three "dots" are all to the RIGHT of that tiny bar at the top, plus its corners are squared compared to the rounded S4.
I saw the same thing at Alibaba. It looks like people are taking advantage of the fact people want a keyboard for their S5 by misrepresenting what they're selling.

Yes, I'm very late with this response.
I didn't like it. I found the keyboard inconveniently small, and the corners of the case that clipped onto the phone broke within a few months of use. I'm still looking for a keyboard case for this phone that will give me an experience comparable to having a true QWERTY slider, and I'm really POed that there are no current options available for one.
Samsung is apparently making keyboard cases for the S6 and one of the Tabs that approximate the old Blackberry feel. Not what I'd prefer, but I wish they'd do one for the S5, so I could at least give it a try.
Has there been any details about the Samsung keyboard for the 8.4? Not much out there but a few images. Wondering if this had become available anywhere that people have experience using.
Not available where I am atm (Indonesia) really like the keyboard and kinda annoyed they release a product and not their accessories at the same time, seems the norm these days though.
the original keyboard is only available for 10.5 not for 8.4
There does appear to be a smaller keyboard.

Wow thank you so much for posting that video. I'm somewhat sold on the keyboard since it looks actually pretty dope. The layout does seem cramped. Might have to pick one up if it comes in white...
I thought it was only for the 10.5, i'm interested in this. wondered when it's available.:good:
Hopefully it hasn't been cancelled or anything.
Geez! After preparing my reply with links to the available for purchase genuine Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" keyboard dock / case I found out that I can't post outside links yet. Oh well. Go search Amazon and eBay, there's a UK seller that sells the 8.4" of the keyboard. I'm thinking about getting one myself. Does anyone who owned the 10.5" version ever got into accidentally dropping the tablet because of the way it is docked on it? No lock at all, just propped into it.

The 8.4 keyboard model number is EJ-CT700. Just search that on eBay and Amazon.

Keyboard language
Hey guys, as ill be using this keyboard for typing mainly in french, will i be able to change the language in my tab s settings ?
The only thing is that it seems all Samsung keyboards that are available at the moment for the 8.4 have Korean characters on the keys. And they're all shipped from Korea.

The one thing that would stop me buying this keyboard is I want to see how stable the tablet remains if I pick up the keyboard, while the Tab is attached and 'open', to move to another location. I instinctively do this with a laptop and it's inevitable I'll do it with this combo one day without thinking, if the Tab falls off and does a 20,000 refraction's of life shattering performance I'll be gutted.
AT&T sells the keyboard for $99 but only comes in Gray
I got it from AT&T and while the grey doesn't match my bronze tablet, I can live with it. It's a very nice quality. The only issue I'm having is with it regularly disconnecting and reconnecting to the tablet. This ends up causing the last character typed to repeat a lot until the reconnection. I expect I will exchange the keyboard in hopes that it is just a flawed device.

Is the Tab 'retained' in any when when mounted (see my post above).
No, it isn't held by anything other than gravity. Here are a few pictures.

So although there's a 'groove' in the Keyboard for the Tab in reality it's a balancing act and sounds like it can on really be used static on a flat surface?

Yes, I'd say that's correct. I know that I wouldn't try to carry it open for fear of the tablet falling out. I've had similar keyboards for a couple other tablets, so I'm used it it.

Just to let you know I managed to pick one up (specifically for 8.4 to avoid confusion) and after playing with it for a while I would say.....
Although the Tab only 'rests' on the groove it's pretty stable and as long as you don't move suddenly it would be unlikely to fall out.
I'm going to have a think if I can Heath Robinson something to make it more secure.....just a peace of mind thing.
Although the keyboard is small I have large stubby fingers and don't find it a problem to use.
The closed case mode is excellent, what I want/need now is a leather sleeve case that'll hold the two together.....I had a look at the PDAir sleeve for the Ipad Mini which I'm pretty sure would be the right size but they only do it in black or light tan/brown, what I really want is an antique or dark brown to match the bronze.

There are plenty of them around. Just search "proximity screen" or something related in the play store. Some are feature-rich and some are very simple. Just depends on your taste.
BTW, I think this should be in Themes & Apps, but I'm not a mod, so, we'll see

One's that rely on sensors does not work well, you need to enable extra sensitivity as the touch does not work too well, although they don't work too well, the menu has much more feature than the OEM. I have a few from different brand lying around, they come with a scratch card with a code and a link to download a app, the code is used to enable to app.
photo's are not in order, I have also the remax to work with the chipset just like the OEM one.

Damn those look kinda cool! Is it possible these apks would work for the oem case? If so could you post them here as well?
The APK does not work with the OEM, the OEM rely on the magnet located at the bottom of the cover, these cover has the magnet at the top, the remax also has the magnet at to bottom, and a cut out for the chipset just like the OEM, so I have added a chipset on the cover and it will work just like the OEM.
The APK also needs a code to activate it, otherwise it will not work.
I tried using a 3rd party s-view case from spiegen and holy crap it was horrendous. I'm not really sure which manufacturers might actually have a half decent app s-view app, but it certainly wasn't spiegen. Ended up returning it and going for the genuine Samsung one.

I've tried many apps for the s view covers, non of them are acceptable, too much lagg and most of the time does not work, just stick with a good non oem/oem cover using the chipset.

Samsung are going to release the new case along with the S10 range.
Found a vid on it.

I'm thinking of getting it but it's around £50.00 UK.
What do you guys think about it?
It's simple but there's something nice about it

But I also wish there was more info about this case. Nobody seems to want to show off the cases or menu of the phone that much. They only seen to care about how well the cameras work.
Yeah exactly why I posted. There's hardly any information on the case or if they will upgrade it with more icons etc

Ok, just looked it up. It's 54 preloaded and the user can create an additional 60, per Samsung.
I saw this on youtube while im searching for official case for s10+... I really like but its $54. reminds me of Rolls royce starlight headliner.
I wonder if 3rd party case maker will make this kinda of cases.
I 've got one. IT have 10 preset led icon and can't add more icon or customize it. See pic...
That's the case I wanted in the beginning when I was going to get a free case from Samsung but then I had to pre-order from Best Buy. My husband who already had his order in with Samsung chose this LED wallet case that holds a credit card. He'll need a better strong case every day case too I really wanted to try this case and wish it had more colors. I am thinking the LED will show up better on the black. I am getting a Flamingo Pink S10 Plus. One thing about this case though the buttons are not covered up if you drop the phone I didn't really care for the sides of the case. I'd still like to see one in person and hear how you guys like it if and when you get one.

No, just show telephone icon.
I just went to the you tube video and it says has been removed by user. If Amazon has this which I haven't checked yet I have a $130 gift card so maybe I will try it. It just seems like the LED would show up better on the black but I like the white. But I read you can add up to so many more customizations right? So like you can have a different icon for different people that text you since they took the contact tone away which makes me so mad. I love the old bubbles at the top of the messages app too with favorites but since we got Oreo under contacts now it just has ringtones and vibration no text tone I've been debating whether to go back to Textra.

what kind of protection does it give? Is it raised from the front a bit so that i would take the impact in case the phone falls face down? It looks really nice but im not sure what kind of protection it would give.
Well my Samsung order shipped... Everything but this case. That's unfortunate...
So I just received the case, but I don't have a phone to go with it yet.

I have it as well and agree those are the only available to me. The settings for it seem very limited overall. I thought I would be able to assign different icons to different notifications (hello, missing LED notification light) and things like that.
Unfortunately I'm disappointed with it, so far at least. It does have a quick, cool, wow factor, but I need functionality if it's not going to offer maximum protection.
I've got this case.. it's pretty cool for showing off, but missing a lot of function.
1. NFC won't work with this case turned on. (Fortunately I don't really need NFC in where I live yet)
2. This case somehow blocks touch screen interaction when using wireless charger, can someone test this also? It's kinda weird.
3. Lack of costumization for icons or pattern.
4. When ever I use a wireless charger the led case will automatically turned off, but never turned on automatically so I have to turn on the led case again. (Probably better to use regular charger)
5. It lacks protection.
6. I wish there's a way to always on the led case. The mood light is pretty cool
That's for now I can find about this case.
I think most of it can be fixed by software update. But who knows.
Hope this help.
Unless samsung decides to improve the scope of what this case can do or someone is able to put something together to access functionality. I definitely wouldn't recommend this in its current state. I'm really disappointed.

Yes Mate Xs, and no no beta. They don't always release all regions simultaneously though.
Updated and no problem, and Google still works.
Don't see much difference though.

Cool, mine is also the TAH-N29m Model. I hope I get the update soon. Mine is from Germany. Which region is yours?
I read that the multi-tasking (with the floating windows) should be better optimized for the Mate Xs. Do you see any changes in the multitasking features?
Well I pretty much never use multiwindow so I'm not sure what was added now and what appeared in previous updates, lol.
But yeah I think the little drawer is new. You can have 2 foating windows, resize and reposition them freely, and minimize them into a drawer on the side where they all stay "running" for quick access, tapping on one restores the window.
I might actually start using it more for chat apps...
I'm in Switzerland, so close enough
still nothing here..

I think it's similar to the matepad pro running Emui 11. BTW, how did you get google services on your mate Xs

With the method that worked last May, but it stopped working in the meantime. Haven't followed on the current ways.
Looks like the official roll out has started in all regions. You can see the official EMUI 11 rollout schedule here
EMUI 11 Update Plan
Hello everyone, thanks for the attention to the long-awaited EMUI 11 update plan. Below are the roadmaps for each region to receive the new EMUI 11 update. Please notice this update roadmap announcement is for phone models on the open market on
consumer.huawei.com
But still not available in Germany yet. Hopefully in the next days.

Ok, BTW looks like you've had the Mate Xs for quite some time. How is the durability? Just curious as I got mine only a couple of weeks ago.
I found the stock screen protector to be quite sensitive to scratches so I put another TPU one on top which is softer and kinda "self healing" and won't scratch, with that on you pretty much don't need to care about the screen being exposed at all. After 6 months or so the stock protector started peeling off(which seems common) so I removed it (along with the other one on top obviously) and applied a TPU one again.
My Xs is still basically as new.

Thanks - do you have a link where I could buy the TPU screen protector? I think I might do the same.

you had no difficulty for the pasted?
I got some of these:
https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/4000421505635.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.210f6c37dBmTH6
They are too wide so I had to trim approx 3mm on one side, but apart from that the installation method is pretty well done. Obviously it's rather difficult to get it perfectly clean with zero dust grain over such a large area, so I have one little one right now at one place.
You might have bubbles initially but the material lets the air get out in a couple of days. Obviously best to get a few of them in case you mess up or want to replace it at some point.
got mine on 19.1 in israel
Surprisingly it's still not available in Germany
