[Completed] [Q] How to access your android's data with no display using pc? - XDA Assist

My motorola g2's display s gone. I can't see anything. The problem is I had set a password as lock screen. Now i can't connect it to pc as it needs to be unlocked first in order for pc to detect it. & i can't unlock it as there is no display on phone. I will get it repaired but i don't want to lose the data on the phone they often reset phone while or after repairing. so my question is is there any way i can connect it to pc? or i have google account signed in in that so can i use it any way to get photos or access them on pc? or can i connect it to pc without using usb cable?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search allowed me to find this thread:

[Q] Please help!! must recover data on phone, screen unresponsive :S:S:S

Hello! any help enormously appreciated.
My phone's screen has cracked, no longer responds to touch, and I can't find anyway to get my contacts and saved notes off of it but I need that info for my business.
Phone is a Motorola Razr 5 XT885
this thread had some ideas: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694743
can I just try this sort of things even though it's a different phone?
I have some experience manipulating android devices but not sure how to get access to this things internal memory... any ideas?
Phone is lock screen activated, no SD card, running stock ROM and screen is 100% unresponsive. I can't find any software that helps me access files on my device, I"m mostly working with windows 7 or XP but could access a Linux distro if that helps.
get a usb mouse and connect your phone via OTG .use mouse to open the manu backup your data to your pc via wifi .if your screen cant see anything at all connect your phone to a TV set via hdmi

[Completed] [Q] How do I enable usb debugging with a broken touchscreen? (Alcatel Idol Mini)

Unfortunately only part of my touch screen works and my phone is locked. Given my password, I'm unable to unlock it. I've looked online and the Alcatel Idol Mini doesn't support OTG. Any advice besides for opening the phone up and controlling it with a separate digitalizer? I'm hoping I could somehow enable it by flashing a rom without losing any data but I know next to nothing about flashing roms. Thanks
Also I learned a few lessons. I enabled USB debugging on my new phone, have all my contacts synced to my Google account, and setup automatic syncing of photos over WiFi.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Unfortunatly Best way is to fix your screen by your local repair shop has its not easy to work when screen is broken and with no usb otg support
Good Luck !

[Completed] Broken Screen / Control Phone with PC via USB / Vysor

I've done some research but nothing seems to be working yet...
The LONG story:
My screen is broken but my phone is still working.
Goal:
- Control my phone via USB cable on my PC.
- Backup my **** and get a new phone.
Software installed:
- ADB Driver
- Android SDK Developer Tool
- Vysor (Google Chrome App)
Process:
I thought I could control my phone with Developer Tool, but I have no luck so far. The most promising tool is Vysor, but when I press Find Devices after I've connected USB, my phone doesn't show up. Advises would be great appreciated!

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
First, in order to Assist you, you must provide your device make and model.
Apart from that, I would recommend using an OTG micro USB to USB cable. Connect this to your phone and plug in a mouse. This will allow you to get past your phone's lock screen. If you have to swipe, enter pin or password, your device's internal storage will not be visible on your PC until you open to your homescreen. Set your device to not time out on display or it will just lock again after your set time has passed. Once unlocked with a mouse, disconnect the OTG cable and plug into PC. You will have full access to your storage so you can backup.

Help Accessing Data on Screen Locked P20

Hi - wondering if anyone out there can think of a solutions to this...
So, my wife cracked her phone screen (Huawai P20) and bought a cheap phone to use short term while we worked out a replacement (Alcatel 1). When setting up the temporary phone, not all of the data from her P20 was install/copied, mainly because there's not enough storage space to hold it all.
Some of the data left on the P20 is really important (downloaded documents/files and pevious whatsapp history), so I was going to hook it up to a PC and grab all the data from it, but the biggest problem is she can't remember the unlock pattern. I know developer mode/USB debugging is not turned on, so I can't even get a PC/ADB to recognise it, plus I've had to connect it to a mouse and monitor (via HDMI/USB adapter) to even view/control the unlock screen.
I'm pretty sure that without the pattern we have little or no options, but was wondering if anyone knew the answers to the following:
Is there any way to unlock the phone using the old PIN that was set (she's confident she knows this)?
Is there a way to unlock using the finger print sensor (even though is says 'pattern required due to restart')
Should ADB list it as a device even though USB debigging is turned off and the phone is screen locked (currently does not list it, but I thought you could PIN unlock via ADB)
Does anyone know any other tools/options for accessiing the files on the phone.
Thanks is advance for any help!
Basically you can access Android's filesystem in ADB-mode or in MTP-mode: the latter should always be possible.
Even if USB Debuging is turned off and the screen is locked? Any tips on how to get the PC to see the device in MTP mode?
Thanks!
My wifey has a Huawei Y7 with HiSuite installed on Windows PC and HDB enabled on phone. As soon as she connects PC with phone over USB, confirms the verification code, phone gets mounted on PC as external USB-drive and thus visible in MTP-mode.
My guess is you have to take your Huawei to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.
Ah Ok. HiSuite asks for USB Debugging to be enabled first, which i can't do because it's locked. Thanks for you help anayway.
