[Completed] [Q] HTC One m7 - continue reboot in recovery - XDA Assist

Hello,
I'm new in this forum and I'm also new in the developing area, so I would like to start my thread saying "thank you" to you all.
The problem started when I had the brillant idea to try to puton my phone a different rom. So I searched on the web and I found very detailled posts which explained the whole procedure. There were difficult terms, but I thought that if I followed the instructions, everything would have be fine. And I was terribly wrong.
So, I've unlocked the phone, then tried to root, but then the phone says there were some "system upgrades" so I decided to get back to the factory settings (because I couldn't upgrade).
This brought me to the real problem: My phone continue to reboot (I can see only the green "HTC" mark and then it reboots).
I've tried to do the factory reset, but nothing.
then, I installed the clockworkMod, but nothing happened (I mean, I can enter in recovery, but apparently I don't have data on my phone).
If this can help, sometimes appear on the screen a phone with a red triangle and a "!".
I know that many of these topics are very common, but believe me I have like 20+ windows open and this confuse me much more.
Hope you guys can help me.
Gabriele
---edit---
I copy what is written now on my phone, so this can help

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can see that you've also created an identical thread here in the HTC One device forum. That's the perfect place to be asking your question as it'll reach those who are most familiar with your device. So creating another thread here was unnecessary, because all we'd be doing is moving this thread to be appropriate forum (where you already have the other thread). Also, please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information regarding the creation of duplicate posts/threads. So we'll close this thread and let the good people of the One forum help you out in the other one.
Good luck!

Desire S stuck on htc logo at boot

Hi all,
I can't boot my HTC Desire S and I didn't backup....
I have been following various guides this is my boot config:
Code:
*** UNLOCKED ***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.00.0002
RADIO-3822.10.08.04_M
eMMC-boot
Aug 22 2011,15:22:13
I am on a mac. I am very familiar with the Unix's, so I chose not to use the various guides and Windows tools.
My process:
- HTC DEV Unlock
- Push Clockworkmod Recovery Image using fastboot.
- Wipe Device using Clockworkmod
- Flash with cyanogenmod
- Doesn't boot!
Software I have tried:
- Android: update-cm-7.1.0-DesireS-signed.zip, and cm_saga_full-59.zip, miuiandroid_DesireS-2.3.9.zip.
- Clockwork recovery: 5.0.2.0-saga, touch-5.8.15-saga, 4.0.1.4-saga.
- Using google apps from Cyanogen: gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
- Also tried using su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip.
- RUU Saga o2 UK (But I can't load up Android!)
What are my options?
Is there any more manual, down and dirty methods I can achieve with fastboot and the adb binary?
Is there anywhere I can get the original recovery image from?
you have to manual flash the boot.img file with this command
fastboot flash boot boot.img( you extract the boot.img from the zip file that you
want to flash)
search the forum for more information, it was already discussed
That's perfect thank you! Can't believe I missed that, I shall have to knock up a Mac guide!

How true, but ben_pyett told he will include it at the index, maybe there are a bit less of such threads (hopefully).

. Lol.. Count me in..Coz noobs aint reading properly. .. A lot of guides have been created yet still making threads without searchn first.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Hi all, I understand it is frustrating seeing the same threads over and over.
As a mac user, and owner of a device that didn't need to have the "S-OFF" string present in their boot process, I was unable to find a single guide or thread to help me.
I did search, over and over again, over the course of several hours at numerous forums. But I couldn't find a forum sticky, blog post, or wiki article (even from the official sites of popular rom developers) about flashing the boot partition with the boot image. I made my progress mostly by guessing.
Shall I put a post together from a pure mac and linux point of view? Lots of guides are written around one-off click and go executables for windows.
What's the problem? As long as the thread is in Q&A or General, you're just getting free "Thanks" for posting the same two lines

[Q]Sensation 4g TMO..root/boot issues

To All, Hey members. Im new to the community but have been a avid follow of this site for quite some time now. I am pretty tech savy and feel like I can fix this problem. The problem being this: I have a sensation 4g from tmobile that was given to me cause someone attempted to root it and couldnt get it done. So as of right now, I can get to the bootloader screen and it has recovery 4xt as well. I have yet to root a device but have been researching it quite thoroughly on here and with the phone being in the state its in, i felt rather opposed to ask instead of taking initiative and risking bricking the device.

On the SDcard i was able to see the two roms and the other file listed below.
I attempted to install Elegancia one and went through the process fine and upon reboot it stops, same with the other rom.
Elegancia_ICS_TMOUS_V3.0.0
Android_Revolution_HD-Sensation_6.6.7
su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed
So where can I can from here?? I feel like theres something i can do to pick up where the previous person left off, or maybe start over possibly. I have my laptop and am eager to follow instructions to accomplish this task at hand. Im open to all feedback and would appreciate the help to further my knowledge of Android devices and rooting in a whole To add, I have not installed anything to my laptop at this time.

Need help: One XL reboot randomly

Hi, I don't know if I can post it here, but I really want to get it solved.
My phone keeps rebooting itself randomly, many times a day, and getting hot while rebooting.
I have been switched between ROMs, but they all have the reboot problem.
I also do the RUU many times to make sure my phone went back to the right status, but it is not solved.
Okay, my phone is AT&T HTC ONE XL Running on Clean-Rom P7.0
Bootloader unlocked

Anyone got the same problem? Hope I can get it solved.
Thank you very much
Wrong section, and try to do some reading and searching before asking a question that has already been asked and answered dozens of times.
Odd, this thread got moved from the EVITA forum to here.
Then they are sleepy over there, if it says EVITA in the bootloader you are 100% wrong here
As much as I don't want to see this thread here (same question that has been asked and answered dozens of times), at least its finally in the right place now.
It went from: EVITA General forum > ENDEAVORU Q&A > EVITA Q&A.

[Completed] [Q] Can not get past Fastbootafter attemptig to get back to stock

IAfter Rooting, S-Offing and installing the Viper ROM, I could not get Wifi to turn on due to a firmware issue. After countless failed attemts to get it to the current version, I decided to move back to stock.
Now, I am inable to get out of Fastboot. When I tried to flash a new ROM, I get the messgae that adb can not see my device. I have no idea what to do, please help.
On top of the astboot screen, it says:

PLEASE help, I' scared!! Thanks in advance
Hi,
I need to know your device make and model number to point you towards help.
Thanks!
Geeze, I'm sorry.
I am using an HTC One m8 with at&t. I'm not sure how to get the model number.
Also, I must have erased TWRP somehow, because when I select recovery from the Fastboot window, it brings me back to the same place.
You are s-off and super CID, easy to fix...
Here's a guide on updating firmware,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/firmware-flashing-panic-attacks-t2824048
And you can also flash recovery with fastboot again, same as you did the first time, then put a rom on an external sd card using another device, and flash it on your device from recovery from the sd card.
If you need help on those things, or want other ideas... The place to ask questions about your device is here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/help-thread-htc-one-m8-questions-t2897783
Good luck!
Thanks. I'll gove it a try tomorrow when I'm not so tired.
I seriosely can't thank you enough for responding.
That did the trick! You're a life saver, I have no idea how I missed that.
One last question. Now that Firmware is update, it looks like I'm using the google ROM. Can I change it back to Venom i I prefer?
That question should probably be asked in the thread I linked 2nd. I've never converted mine to GPE, or back. ?
You're right, sorry about that.
Seriously, I have no idea how I missed that article but THANK YOU!!!! You quite literally saved my job (conference calls I needed to be on).

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the HTC One S at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you. Alternatively, you could ask for help in your ROM's thread.
Good luck!
