So I got my Note 4 two days ago and finally got around to having an InvisibleShield Glass screen protector installed since my local VZW store sold them. Keep in mind, my fiance has a Note 4 with the same screen protector, had it for about two months now.
After install, I was left with this...

It's not the typical issue of the glass hanging over the sides of the screen. Where the glass stops adhering is about 1-3mm from the edge of the screen itself before it starts rounding off. The VZW tech said it needs time to "cure" and heat should help, but I've installed these glass protectors before and this is the first one that's had this issue.
Has anyone here encountered this before, any way to fix this? I'd rather not have to make the trip back to the store, I hate that store and it's the closest one.
Have the same one, with the same issue... Best Buy installed it and gave me the same "curing" BS.
Unsatisfactory to say the least.

Take it back, you have a lifetime warranty with zagg of which best buy have an obligation to adhere to and swap it, especially if you paid for the fitting, having them fit it until its perfect is what I would normally recommend, but in this case, you will be wasting your time, I used to work for geek squad UK and fitting these was part and parcel of my job. Needless to say after you've fitted several hundred of these bad boys you get pretty good at it, what that store should have done is recognise the fault and pull the product, its simply not good enough, the only way you will get a glass screen protector for the note 4 is if its naturally curved or has some seriously strong adhesive, the slightest blemish in shape and it'll show.
The curing time they're referring to is the glue setting, Zagg says this takes around 2-3 days but I always recommend a week, this is more apparent with the original and HD versions of invisishield, in the case of the glass one, if it doesnt fit immediately you will always have this issue, as with the halo effect, you could fit it 100 times and it'll never work out.
My advice, take it back and grab a nice matt screen protector. Advise them that they should pull the product you've been misguided and inadvertently missold a product

So I have been looking for a screen protector for my new Nexus 4. I came across a lot of reviews and stuff just to be sure not to buy something LOW quality and waste money on that. I met a friend of mine who is using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and wasn't using any case for it. I asked him if he is not scared of his phone getting scratched or something and he showed me his phone and said that it had a screen protector from GadgetShieldz already (which was nearly invisible until I held it in my hand) and he doesn't need to worry about it.
So as I came home I looked at the GadgetShieldz website. I was pretty amazed by the introductory videos so I just went through and ordered the "Maximum Protection with Case Optimized Screen Protection" and waited for it.
My package just came today and I applied the protector as guided on the website. The results were FLAWLESS. The cover just fitted perfectly on the back and on the screen as well as on the sides. Here are a few pictures of my phone with the protector.

Overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going with this screen protector and helps you guys choose.
Couldn't see any screen protector on the phone through the pictures xP..
Thanks for the review.
Just one question, the protector have the sticky feel like Zagg/Xtremeguard kind of protectors?
Thanks and sorry for any mistakes in my English.

Thank you!
Yeah, no. I'd stay away from gadgetshieldz after my recent spat with them (over my iphone screen/body guard, I have a nexus 4 and an iphone 5)
The problem I faced was (were rather) : the body protector doesn't cover the entire side, it leaves a tiny gap (around 1mm each side) . So your body (and rear) protector have to be centered perfectly (OCD issues?).
Now this doesn't LOOK bad but when you pick up the phone you can FEEL the screen guard cutting into your hands. Now that's not good is it?
To top it off I complained to gadgetshieldz and asked for a refund but they said they could only offer me a replacement (contrary to what they say on their website)
I complained on their facebook page but my post was eventually taken down when me and a couple of my friends who saw the problem posted there.
I made another post and the admin (of the facebook page) flipped out and started calling me names and even went on to say : "I'm beginning to think you were hired by a rival company to defame us" and he said things like (which I laughed about) "Gadgetshieldz is used by millions if not billions of people worldwide"
I mean seriously? Their page is probably run by a 12 year old who's always high on redbull or something.
My advice : never buy gadgetshieldz, they're the worst out there (in terms of customer support atleast)
I know there is a "Tempered Glass Screen Protector" thread, but since those seem to be ineffective ATM.... Also please leave tempered glass discussion and info in the other thread.
Has anyone tried a dry application or wet application screen protector on your Moto X? I like how wet fit protectors seem to mold perfectly to the phone, but they always feel rubbery which I hate. Dry applied protectors seem to suffer from the same issue the tempered glass protectors do, they don't hold down on the curved edges of the screen.
Has anyone tried anything they like?
I'm using dry protectors sold by Verizon. Sticks very will for me. But it is a fingerprint/smudge magnet!

Yeah strange. I don't see it on the web site either. I was walking through the mall here in phoenix a couple days ago and was able to get one
Rhino shield said they are making one and the preorder page is up.
Please preorder one, it will be quality unlike anything else available. Would hold my breathe on tempered glass due to the curved screen.

Doesn't look like this will happen since there are only 4 pre orders
Any similar to zagg yet?
Since zagg hasn't made one for the moto x 2nd gen, I desperately wanted one. I bought one for an Sammy s5 for 9.95 and modified by cutting the top and bottom off. While the top section and bottom are exposed, the main screen is covered. Width is perfect. Feels so much better than the dry application ones from vzw I had. Combined with my otter box defender with the built in screen protection removed, I'm a happy camper now. Protection with the right feel for me.
For wet skin protectors, give Best Skins Ever a try. I discovered and tried them against Xtremeguard and Skinomi (I refuse to try any other skin brand that goes over $20) back in the days when I had a Nexus 4, which also had a curved screen. I found the BSE skin to have the slickest feel on the screen, and they're cut to within 1mm of the absolute edge of the screen. The back also has 3 separate pieces, for the camera flash and dimple. They run $8.99 for a full skin set. I plan on buying one soon for my incoming Moto X, as a temporary solution until somebody makes a proper fitting tempered glass protector.
I had a MIME screen protector for my S4 and was very happy with it and with their customer service. I ordered their S6 screen protector, and I want to return it but I can't even get them to respond to my messages. Has anyone else used them recently? Has the company just gone off the reservation?

I got a new screen protector for my S5 about 2 months ago through there warranty program and there wasn't any issues. Why do you plan or returning it btw? Is there some issue with it? I ask cause I considered purchasing one for my new S6.
I ordered it without reading about all of the issues others have had with glass screen protectors on the S6, and their website doesn't yet have photos of the glass on the S6. I was very disappointed by the glass not covering the whole front of the phone due to the phone's curved edges. I would rather wait for something that can cover the whole front of my phone.
Yeah the haloing effect due to the S6's curved edges were the reason I haven't bought a screen protector yet either. In terms of MIME not respond to you, I got a hold of them by messaging them through there "contact" page on there website if that helps. However it was for my old S5 a couple months ago.
Thanks. Yeah, I've used that Contact page twice, now, and haven't gotten any response.

I got a cheap brand on Amazon and was shocked at how small it was...I had Mime Ghost on my S5 and it was amazing so I sprung for the same kind on my S6.
No bueno.
It's almost as bad as the cheap one, except it cost $20 more.
I'm wondering if a PVC/vinyl/whatever might be better because it's more flexible.
I've also noticed that dust collects between the edge of the screen protector and the bumper case I've got.

Moral of the story don't buy a Samsung doh. Lol sorry Samsung police had to take a joke. That royally socks!!
That sux. Great promo ad for Samsung's durability lol!
I didn't know these Samsungs crack so easily after seeing some video drop tests where the S6 Edge did pretty good. I guess it depends where they hit. Something about a phone sandwiched between 2 sides of glass makes me wonder though.
T-Mobile is back ordered and Assurant wont have stock for a few weeks. The two Samsung reps weren't much help. They didn't know what the cost would be or how long they'd need it.
Make sure you keep these phones in a case, lol.
Ouch, just stick it in a case and never take it out, and pretend its not waterproof anymore.
Its like holding a stick of butter.

Gorilla glass 4 not 5.
Also gorilla glass can't make glass into metal, it can only harden it a bit (usually against scratches) dropping it on concrete still will shatter it (incidentally it would have scratched and bent metal most likely).
I don't like glass on the backs of phones, but it's better then metal for some things (wireless charging). I prefer high quality plastic but the market says it's not 'premium' enough, so we get glass or metal.

The display from the glass? Not a factory installed screen protector?
Yes, a big hardware fail..
Nothing should be peeling off assuming it is without any 3rd party screen protector
The screen is made of glass so the only thing that can peel off is a screen protector, provided either by Samsung or a 3rd party.

The AMOLED display panel can pull away from the glass internally... which I think is what the fuss is about.

I PMed you. I've only seen this twice so far. Yours and mine. People initially looked at this and thought this guy is making stuff up that doesn't exist. It's also hard to see, but once you see it, it's unseeable. It took three guys at the repair shop to convince one of them that there is a manufacturing defect.

The whitestone has nothing to do with this.
Manufacturer defect. Since Samsung went to variable rate displays there been numerous display problems. Other manufacturers also had many issues with the variable rate technology, mostly color calibration, flickering, but also failures.
The N10+'s had very few display failures. This one in my hands will be 3 yo in September and is still looks and tests perfect. Personally I'm not pleased with Samsung's offerings since the N10+ for numerous reasons, the above are some of them!
Were you able to get a warranty replacement for this? Having the same issue
