If yours games support cloud storage : Yes
If yours games put saves on internal sd : Yes
If yours games sucks, your saves are in data/data/com.nameofthestudio.nameofthegame/ and : No(without root)

There's adb backup but is not complete, will only backups things that apps allow you to. You can try with -apk option if you want to bother. Some games include the Google Saved Games that stores the savegame and you can sync among different devices.

[Q] Backup save games and settings

Hey,
I play a lot of games on my phone (Galaxy S) and I was looking for a back up tool to back up my save games of the few games I play (MiniSquadrion,........)
Thanks.
Titanium backup should do the job. Otherwise you could do a nandroid backup once in a while.
What the OP is asking is a method to 'specifically' backup saved games not the entire phone or Apps, etc.
I don't know of a backup tool that targets saved games.
If you know the folder where the saved game is stored you could copy this to either your MicroSD card or PC.
Does Titanum back up the games and the savegames?

It backups app and data, you can choose to only backup Data though.
That would include Saves and Settings and stuff like that.

No, as stated it backs up parts of your data but does not target saved games.
Also, Titanium requires root.
I personally use My Backup Pro which allows you to backup either all your Apps or data such as contacts, SMS, photos, etc.
Thread moved to General.
Look in the game's installation folder. I know that Tower defense (for instance) creates a save file which you can back up and copy over at anytime.

So my backup pro does back up the save games with the games them self right?

Technically yes but like Titanium, My Backup Pro can not be told to backup a specific game save folder.
To do that it's much simpler to copy the contents of a folder containing your saved game data and paste it on either your MicroSD card or onto a PC.
If however you wish to backup an Application be that a game with all it's contents then yes, both Titanium and My Backup Pro will do that.
Just remember Titanium requires Root access.
Another backup tool is Sprite Mobile for Android which is more commonly found on windows mobile but has now broken grounds into Android.
Both Sprite & My Backup Pro are paid Apps.
Ok thanks for the suggestions:
1. MyBackup Pro - when I click BACKUP I have 2 options: 1.Applications 2.Data .. So which one of them should I choose in order to backup the game and the save games (data etc.)
2. Titanum - which option from the Batch I have to choose in order to back up a game with their save game?
Thanks

In the spirit of ensuring the facts are accurate I contacted the developer to ascertain the level of backup and am glad I did.
I have been informed MyBackup Pro does backup applications along with saved game data BUT ONLY on those that have integrated with Reware to allow their applications along with all data to be backed up.
For other applications due to the security in Android it is not possible to backup application data.
This is news to me as I was led to believe it backed up all application and data for all the Apps.
I'm asking for further clarification because when you opt to select to backup your Apps it lists all Apps.
In the meantime it would appear Titanium is the only possible method BUT this requires Root access.
I've had a look at what Titanium backs up and it lists as follows:-
* All the applications you have installed, included protected ones,
* All the data and settings of these applications,
* Most (or all) of your phone's settings and data.
* NOTE: It will not backup the system applications from your ROM. Only their settings will be backed up.
My apologies for the confusion and to members shoemeistah & ante0 who recommended Titanium or gave guidance.
I was led to believe not only would you require Root (which I am still correct in saying) but you could not target specific save data (which I'm still unsure of).
You may also like to have a read of this which shows the level you have to go to achieve a backup.
Wow Beards impressive help there, Thanks a lot for all those detailed replies.
Well I'll go with Titanum even if it requires root..
Thanks again Beards.

[Resolved] [Q] Gun Bros save location on android

Hey everyone.
So I'm going to full wipe the phone for some re-flashing but after countless hours spent on Gun Bros I so don't want to lose that save
I've been searching some myself but have yet to find any save game location on the internal or external memory.
Does anyone know if there is any way to backup your save game before a full wipe as you can't sync it with facebook on android?
So it kinda looks like I found the answer for my myself
Everything is stored in
data/data/com.glu.andriod.gunbro-free/
on my Droid bionic, I am looking for a /data/data/com.glu ....
and I do not have one. there is only one folder in /data/data
and its not the gunbro game.
Where/how can I find the save data. I also want to do a factory default
reset, but I dont want to loose my data.
thanks for the help.

I've been looking for a thread like this for days. This is the only way to backup games if the phone isn't rooted. Is it possible to actually list every file instead of just saying the entire directory? Or are there too many files. Because to copy the file without root, you must know the exact file name.
Here's the ones I've gotten so far

Abduction 2
/data/data/au.com.phil.abduction2/databases/abduction2

I've been trying to track these down all over the place, but it's really hard without a rooted phone. If someone could take a look, I would be very grateful.

Not exactly, i know for sure it's somewhere near the dead space one, because you can backup it with Titanium. Based of this knowledge and dates on my phone i would say :
data/data/com.ea.games.meinfiltrator_row/files/var/settings.db

In order to do it I would need to root my phone and the tablet I would like the game to transfer to? Or can I do it without root? I tried to find that director but there is nothing under the 'files' folder on my phone. except for something called game skeleton.
Finally updated with MC3 infos, but that do not work between samsung version and market version ...
I can confirm that destinia doesn't work. ****.
Any knows where are saves for Drag Racing? I want to copy those files. Root is not a problem.
Files are saved into "/data/data/com.creativemobile.DragRacing/files"
Note that on latest version of DragRacing we have save152.dat and save15.dat, and not just save.dat
Hacked latest app for RP and cash. Here, this might help:

What ??? JB is a minor update and ALL these games are (of course) working on it.
Asphalt 7 require root. But why would you backup manually when the game can backup itself on a facebook account or a gameloft account ?

Can you do it for "Undead Slayer"?
Many thanks.
Hi to everyone. I have a suspect. Maybe, for both the "cut the rope" games, there's a new simple way to backup the save data game. Just like "pudding monsters", there's two files located in
sdcard/ZeptoLab/Cut the Rope
Maybe we could simply copy and restore them .
If someone try, it could be a great news for game lover like us
Victory!!! I've just tried between my paid version of "Cut The Rope" and a free versione of the game. It perfectly works. Simply, before copying the file to the new device, clear data of "Cut The Rope". When you start the game, it will ask you if you want to restore the game save data

Does anyone know where the CastleTD save file is located?

will titanium backup work for larger games like gta3?

Hello I'm upgrading to the TF Prime soon, and I wanted to transfer some of my game saves from gta3, mc3, and gof2 over to my new tablet, since there is additional app data will titanium backup still work?
as long as you back up app+ data you should be fine if not jsut copy over the gta3 data should be located at /android/data/com.rockstar.gta3
it will not copy the game data but the install file, for games that require additional downloaded data, that data will need to be downloaded again, my experience is with gta3 and need for speed hot pursuit, which sucks because while nfshp worked previous, it now will not re download the game data, and many users are complaining in the comments, and it did work before now i can't finish my game

ya pretty much what i said you need to back up the app data from /android/data/
My data folder never got wiped out deleted, it still makes me download the data every time..but once it does it remembers my previous game save..go figure. I never have been able to just reinstall and play them..im sure you can, but the apk file that titanium backup saves is the install apk, not the launcher that actually launches the game..if you can figure out which file that is and save it it may work..i noticed there is a file called download.something or other created when you run the nfshp apk that titanium saves, i read somewhere that someone cracked the game for pirating and you have to delete this file and do some other stuff to install it without it prompting for download data..could be game specific but gta3 also made me dl the extra data sooooo i assume the work around method will be similar.
TB hasa setting to try and get the sdcard data; idk how well it works

[Q] App Backup on Rooted N5

I have a rooted N5 (Tnx to this forum for that) but now i need to do hard reset, i just want to backup data from 3 games (savegames), i dont care about app settings, i just want to save muy progress and restore after, i search in google but all I found was all android backup or all app backup, so muy question is if posible to backup ONLY those savegames (with or without their app settings, is the same) and if is, how to do it and restore after? Tnx un advance
lots of games now feature game saves, through google play games(app/service). as well as a few have you log into your facebook and/or google account to save your game status.

I know that but games like card wars and "enredos en el tiempo" (didnt know english name for this one, cartoon network is the developer) didnt have cloud, the progress is in device only, thats why i make this thread
well, i dont know of any other way to save games, only if the game maker makes a way. root wont help you.
Titanium with external data setting should work for all games. Why you purposely don't want to backup the game settings makes no sense.

Sry for double post but i found that if i copy data/data/app.packpage.name and restore it should be enough to save the progress, is that true?
Also found that titanium backup can restore data only but it save app + data always so if copy data/data really work, would be awesome, if not i will use titanium

Why not do both. Then when you go to restore try each one at a time to see which one works. FTR I'm pretty sure the files on the SD Card is game save. But better safe then sorry

She games save data there. Others use /sdcard. Titanium would capture both if "external data' is set.
