Since I couldn't seem to find the gateway address I was looking for (Golan Telecom IL), I thought that it would be a great idea to simply have them all listed here.
I'll have this post updated with the info and thanks to the users who typed them in this thread. I'll be glad if others will pitch in.
Update:
1. Added Golan Telecom IL & Hotmobile/Cellcom(?)
2. Modified gateways to reflect all possible addresses.
Update 2:
1. It is indeed Hotmobile.
2. Fixed Golan Telecom IL.
3. Added Pelephone.
4. Orange IL is now Partner Communications.
Update 3:
1. Added Cellcom (thanks to @moxfyre)(pending verification).
2. Golan Telecom may be invalid, currently testing (thanks to @gimpelphone).
3. Clarified that this Cellcom is the Israeli company, which has nothing to do with the American MVNO in Wisconsin.
Partner Communications: [email protected]
Golan Telecom IL (Possibly invalid now): [email protected]
Hotmobile: [email protected]
Pelephone: [email protected]
Cellcom (Israel) (pending verification):
[email protected]
Thanks to @gimpelphone, @moxfyre, and anonymous donors.

This is great! I have been looking for a guide that covers the major Israeli providers.
Unfortunately, the Golan Telecom gateway does not seem to be working anymore, as of May 2018. Is there a change to the domain?

I do not yet know, I'll check once I fix the OS on my phone (I was playing with the WiFi libraries).
If you have a phone on Golan Telecom, you can also check, just send a text to your email address.
Received an email from Golan Telecom regarding SMS gateway at 2018-07-11
Google translate:
To date, our company is not supported for sending an email to an SMS message.
If this service receives support in the future, we will update it on our site.

Sorry for not responding earlier, I did not have the time to log in (and even now, I have no time, this is simply a fledgling (if old) post, that has next to no one here, so I could spare time for it.
I'm currently checking the situation.

I have just finished my tests, and I also sent them a message regarding this.
No, Golan Telecom's claim is false.
This is a basic feature of a messaging stack, send/recieve, and SMS/MMS is no different, it just runs on a semi-separate network from the internet, which is why the gateway address is needed.
I can send messages from my phone to my email adress, but not recieve them.
This tells us that either, 1. Golan Telecom has disabled incoming traffic on the gateway, or 2. they are actively blocking either certain or all incoming traffic on the gateway (it's not that hard, just specify what port and what kind of traffic you want the kernel to drop packets instead of accepting them), while allowing outgoing traffic on the gateway.
My guess, is that it is possible they do not want people to send heavy files to their phones from their email, as then they lose out on much of the income that it can produce, while still having to pay Cellcom for the usage of their network.

Interesting. I've tried sending an SMS from my GT SIM card to a couple email addresses, and none of them worked. (The Android AOSP messaging app just said they couldn't be send.)

In general, I would guess that Israeli carriers don't bother with these things because (a) over-the-top messaging like WhatsApp is so pervasive in Israel and relatively few people are using "normal" SMS and (b) Israeli carriers are mostly "dumb pipes" charging a low price for an undifferentiated set of services — generally a good thing.

I'm sure there are services, but those aren't standard text messages. They don't come from your phone number- rather, you send your message to a third party (the service) and their gateway sends it for you.
There are a lot of services that offer it for "free" (usually on a limited trial / adware basis), and a whole lot more that offer it for cheap, bulk rates (e.g. a cent or two a message).
A lot of them are available for Java- you can take your pick by googling "free java text message" or "free text message windows mobile."
I can't recommend any specific one, but note that they won't be text messages coming from your phone- and in some cases, you won't be able to receive replies. Lots of services are one-way or glitchy at best.
Just to let you know:
Betamax Voip services such as the one I am using, Voipdiscount does provide the service you are longing for. The SMS' sender number that shows on the receiver's phone IS your phone number.
There is a condition for this though: when you first register a mobile phone number (you only have to do this once), they automatically call you back and have you entering a code to make sure you are not faking someone else's phone number.
Once they've made sure you are the owner of this phone number, you can keep sending SMS from the internet and they just look like any SMS you've sent from your mobile phone.
Enjoy!
I searched on Google and tried all the websites but none of them shows anything about registration.........and some other sites even said Betamax is a fraud or something....
can u link me the proper page plz?
basically, that GOGII program contacts their systems for the purposes of sending a text message, if you were to get hold of the binary application, you could figure out their SMS server on the internet and then write your own program to send SMS messages - you could do it from a PC, PDA, whatever has internet.
anyone got a jailbroken iPhone handy?
i dont know if there is a wm version of icq, i used to txt ppl with icq all the time! they dont even have to have icq, u just put their # on a contact and use the sms service
most wireless providers have a web form for sms, tho usually restricted to ppl using that carrier and almost always annoying captcha ugh
hope this helps!

Betamax is not a fraud, I've been using their service for 3 years now, I would have noticed!
the proper link in my case is: www.voipdiscount.com but there are pleinty other sites belonging to betamax. Each has different discounts to call different countries. You should check them out and compare to know which one fits your needs best.
Teleflip.com and Beltic.com used to let you send a text message to a cell phone from email, without needing to know that domain of the wireless number. For example, you'd send an email MOD EDIT: REMOVED EMAILS and the service would automatically forward the message to the correct wireless domain. I'm well aware that there are tons of free sites that will tell me the domain, but I'm wondering if there are any sites/services still in existence that does the look up for me.
Thanks!

Hi all:
I am a developer for an app that forwards SMS (and other things) to an email address. Obviously it would be elegant to be able to reply to your SMS right from your email account, while the other side still sees your SMS in the normal way, and the app does exactly this.
But to get the reply back to the phone via email, we need the user to enter the email-to-SMS address as part of setup. You know, like [email protected] or @vtext.com. The app has a database for some countries and carriers but obviously its a drop in the bucket.
We are finding out that maybe not a lot of people know of such a feature on their phones, hence this poll! It'll help us try some other ideas, or implement this one differently.
Thanks!
PVS
PhoneLeash - free on Android Market
Rogers (in Canada) has this service.. but they charge us for it. So not many people actually have it.
Thanks to everyone who responded. As a result of the poll results, PhoneLeash now supports forwarding SMS (and missed calls, and location, and battery status) to another phone number via SMS. And replying back to these forwarded SMS' does not require an email-to-SMS feature. If you forward to a Google Voice number (or other PC-based SMS-capable services such as HeyWire, Pinger), you can use a PC, and enjoy a very nice feature set (see this review).
Thanks for the useful development for mobile users and internet users as well.
However, I'm already using this service with the help of third party i.e. TextMarketer.co.uk
Play (Poland) already has such a service. It is free for everyone. Polish speakers can check it here: http://www.blogplay.pl/2010/11/kopia-sms-na-email-beta/

I used it once to initiate a conference call. It worked for setting up the call but the sound quality was pretty terrible. All of the participants on my call were within the United States, so I don't know how it works internationally.

well ,I have used this app a couple of times recently. For a free calling app Its pretty good only if u wanna compromisehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/frown.gif with the sound quality and limitation of 1 hour. I mainly use it to call overseas frnds which is quite costly if ur using a standard cellular device. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/mad.gif The main advantage I enjoyed is that U dont need any other client software for the clients ,http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/good.gif .Just cell number is enough. Regarding the info they collect , I am not sure about that. Haven't faced any issues regarding that.
still ,good enough app if u ask me! http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/cowboy.gif
I recently ordered an S9+ from clove.co.uk the other day. I checked my email to see if I had gotten any shipping/tracking info and saw the following email:
Thank you again for your order.
Due to the nature of the goods we sell there are unfortunately many attempts to obtain goods fraudulently and we have been advised to request additional information from new customers. Please can you provide one of the options below.
A) If we are delivering to the registered card holder address you can email or fax a copy (photo, scan or pdf) of your passport or driving license. We understand that you may wish to conceal some information - that is fine and the document can be in any language.
OR
B) Please note that you will need to do this if we are NOT delivering to the registered card holder address. Please can you ensure that your card issuer has a record of the delivery address required and then provide us with your full card number (we only have access to the last 4 digits) and expiry date, so that we can call them to verify that shipment to the alternative address has been authorised by the registered card holder.
Your co-operation with this security procedure is appreciated and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please use the link below to read our delivery information page if you have not already done so. (If clicking on the link does not work, please copy and paste it into your web browser.
Seems silly they would ask for a DL or Passport with most the information obfuscated. I mean anyone could just use photoshop off Google. Plus I also have issues with sending this kind of info over unencrypted email (lol 'security'). I am just wondering if anyone else that has ordered from this site has received this email? I asked if they could reply back in encrypted fashion but I'm sure they'll give me some excuse why they can't.
