i bought a 2nd hand original t-mobile N900T, everything is fine but network, 2g/GSM isworking fine but when i try to switch it to WCDMA ONLY it won't register on the network, i resetted the device but no result, here in afghanistan gsm network is annoying, i have activated 3g data package, it never turns to H or H+ , its olways E,
please help me guys, what should i do, should change the network hardware or what?

Hi i have a htc touch pro, i purchased the phone separately, and now i am with a cell phone provider and recently i purchased the data plan, whenever i go on the internet it says using EDGE not 3G? i was wondering in my country there is 3g as well so thats not the problem, is there anyway to switch from edge to 3g, or is there something else wrong,

some companys require one to actively sign up for 3g but most cases
if the phone show 3g or h it got 3g or 3½g
if it only show e or g it's bacuse it only recieve those signals
Or look into the Phone settings-Band ,if you have not selected GSM only.
I got a Tmobile sensation and I m using in Peru, for some reason the network line is in EDGE, or 2g it is the way we can change, the sim card work in 4g in another phone, some body can help me.
check your network settings and see if your running tmobile. maybe att?

My oneplus one has a issue for a long time. I live in Turkey and using a network provider named "Avea". With di.3.0 alpha baseband I get no reception no matter what I do, however its like a bug. my sim service trying to reconnect every 5 seconds like in loop.
The issue is: In my country we still have 3G not LTE. and still in many areas beacuse of our networks are so not strong our phones got Edge signal. The problem on my opo is I only have 3G, my 2G band is lost. My GSM band is lost too. If choose another prefered network type instead of 3G my network is lost.
I guess this loss of bands on my phone, DI3.0 baseband modem is not working too. How can I bring back my 2G and GSM bands ?
Hi folks, I am Nigerian and I use an LG G Pro (D838). Some days back i noticed that i had no network on my phone so I tried inserting another sim into the device and still got the same result but other devices around had network coverage. I changed the network mode to GSM only and got 2G but WCDMA only gives me nothing. I have tried other sims on GSM only mode and got 2G but when i change the mode to WCDMA only, i get nothing at all. Have also put it to GSM/WCDMA auto but keeps giving me just 2G network only. I have even had to downgrade the OS from android 5.0.1 to 4.4.2 as suggested by a friend and still got the same issue. Please, what should i do??????
Still having the same problem with my lg g pro f240s...When i choose wcdma preferred is not working and i loss signal but when i choose gsm i get signal.I travelled to different locations but still getting the same problem.
I also tried to flash a new modem but locked my network but thanks to a Nandroid backup i did i restored it.And my phone was back to it state again.

So my Nexus 5 stopped working the other day, and I sent it for repairs. It's come back now and I got a new SIM. Airtel 4G here in New Delhi, India. The problem is, it will only show me a 2G connection/no signal at times. I don't know what to do. The SIM works in other phones perfectly well. I've tried going to *#*#4636#*#* and changing to WCDMA only. Doesn't work. What is the alternative solution guys?
The phone was bough in the USA but before it got repaired, 3G worked flawlessly. So at least that should work, if not 4G.

Hi, Airtel as I see operate in 2G (GSM, EDGE), 3G (HSPA+) and 4G (TD-LTE band 40). But Nexus 5 (USA model) D820 doesn't support TD-LTE (band 40), so for sure you can't connect to 4G. But 2G and 3G should be ok. You can reset network settings and check again.

Yes. 3G should work at least. But it isn't and that's the problem. Before repairing it, it used to work with my mom's Vodafone 3G connection. What's the solution here?
Can you try to restart and after that change to "GSM auto (PRL)" from *#*#4636#*#* menu? Are you tested other device with this SIM in the same location ?

Tried that. With no luck. I changed it to GSM auto (PRL) and stayed on that menu. Still showing E with full signal strength.
Any idea guys?

i had this problem on my d821 eu version in algeria same problem as you sometimes i got 3g but no lte :/ it got boring so i sold it tried every rom on every android version official and unofficial diffrent radios and basebands it just doesnt work you should say goodbye to it sorry
