[Q] Help! Will not boot after battery replacement - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet that stopped working a few weeks ago. Had been having trouble with the battery staying charged but, was using it one day and the battery level was at 51% when it stopped, would not do anything then turned itself off. It has not come on since.
Due to having battery issues and the tablet being 2 years old, I ordered a replacement battery from Amazon.com and replaced the battery. Still wouldn't come on. Took to a friend in IT and we reopened it, re-set the cables, charged it. Now all that happens now is it has a faint blue screen, will beep and that is all. Will not boot and give me logo.
Does anyone have any suggestions or have you had this occur to yourself? If so, what did you do to repair the problem? Your answers would be very appreciated. I don't wish to lose my tablet.

Has this been resolved?
I seem to have a similar issue.

Orbit 2 Dead!

Hi guys,
Was sitting watching TV with my phone beside me for about an hour, it was working fine with about half charge.
I then went to make a call and the phone was off...
I tried to turn it on and nothing, I soft reset the phone, nothing... I hard reset the phone, nothing... I removed and reinserted the battery and nothing...
I plugged the phone in to charge just incase the battery had magically drained, the orange charge light appeared for about 3 seconds then went off... No life whatsoever...
O2 are replacing it with a door to door thursday but I have a flashed rom installed and cant replace the original... Think I'll be ok?
What might have happened to the phone, its never been dropped or water damaged!! Anyone else had this problem? This is my 2nd orbit, the first one was replaced due to the jog dial falling off!
Cheers,
Biscuitboy
I've had my phone just a few days and exactly the same things happened to me. I'm getting it replaced over the next few days. A little worried that it may happen again. Without knowing what may be a possible cause or if it's just poor quality build that maybe to blame.
Would be interested if anyone has any light they can shed on this
Same has happened to me but I have a charge light.
What was the prob with your two did you ever find out?
Kellie

One S shutting down :(

I just got my new One S a couple of days ago, and I'm one of the lucky few (or many maybe??) that don't have a problem with the chipping of the MAO...
I'm having a different problem though... Or actually i think it's two different problems.
One of them is the following: (and this is probably my own fault for not starting up the battery properly)
I got the phone friday in the mail, but I hadn't yet gotten my micro sim, and I had to leave for the weekend so i left the phone at home and brought my old one on the trip, but i forgot to shut down the One S, and the battery of course died over the weekend, even though I was supposed to fully charge it first to get the battery going..
But here is the problem, and this terrified me!!!
I couldn't get the phone started for like 20 minutes after I plugged it in to the charger.. The power button just made the three buttons in the bottom flash a couple of times, without starting up the phone... Eventually i got it going, but it really scared me.. Now when the phone runs out of battery it still needs around 5 minutes of charging before i can turn it on again... Am I the only one experiencing this?
The other problem, and this is the big one..
Two times the phone have shut down on me without any provocation... I pick it up, and hit the on-button, and the phone boots.. Meaning it was turned off.
And this is NOT because the battery died, as it has been at around 40% battery left.
Does anyone know why this happens? And if there is anything to do about it?
Also am I the only one?
Try a master reset; if it keeps happening, contact whoever you bought it from or HTC and exchange the handset.

[Q] Samsung GalaxyS2 won't power on

Hi everyone, I appologize in advance if this has been posted and resolved, but I couldn't seem to find anything after numerous searches.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 that I have had for JUST over a year (i think June 30th) Everything has been fine, no problems and today I was on it, working fine and then all of a sudden it shut off and then started to reboot. Only when it powered back on, it showed the black SAMSUNG GALAXY SII powered by Tmobile start up screen, then went black, then the startup screen appeared again, then went black...repeat.
I did a battery pull for 2 minutes, same thing. Did a battery pull for 1 hour, same, I left it on the chargert for 4 hours and while on charger kept blinking on and off but now only the grey battery (even now off the charger)
It has never been rooted, or updated or anything like that. There is no water damage at all.
I have a wall charger for the battery only and an extra battery and have tried charging both batteries with that and still no luck.
I have also tried plugging it into my computer to see if it would boot up that way and nope. Still just the on and off dead battery, not even the startup screen.
HELP PLEASE!?
power shortage?
Has there been any kind of problems with your electric house system? that happened to me once, and it was due to a power problem at my house, it basically blew off my battery. Forget about battery pulls. Go to a store and ask them to lend you a battery for a second. If it powers on fine, it's the battery. If it doesn't i think you should get yourself a new phone, or try to get it fixed at the customer service. Sorry for the bad news man...
Nope, no problems with electricity, and neither of the 2 batteries will work!

Dead Nexus 5

Last month, my Nexus 5 died.
My battery was around 20% so I plugged the phone in to charge it. About 30 minutes later, I decided to check my phone to see if there were any texts or calls. I unplugged it and went outside with the phone. The phone restarted and displayed the black battery screen and shut off right after. I tried to charge it afterwards, but ever since then I was never able to get it to turned on.
I ordered a new battery from Amazon that took almost a month to arrive from China. Popped the battery in today and still no luck with the phone. Left it to charge for hours just to be sure; same problem.
What are some suggestions I can do to fix my phone? I bought the phone brand new off craigslist back in August 2014 with no problems, so I doubt I have any warranty. I was thinking about buying another Nexus 5 with a cracked screen for $50 off a guy near me. He says his phone turns on and functions. Would there be any problems such as bad IMEI or so if I swap parts over to my perfectly looking phone? I wanted to swap parts and see which piece would be defective causing my phone to not boot up.
Thanks.
How's the motherboard?
After searching more, it seems my motherboard might be the problem. When I plug my phone into my computer, it shows up in device manager as qhsusb_bulk. I was running cyanogen after I got my Nexus 5 in August 2014 until January when it just died. Hopefully replacing the motherboard will solve it.
I said that earlier

Galaxy S6 keeps turning off after being dropped into water

Hi at all,
about a week ago my girlfriend dropped her Galaxy S6 into the toilet (NEVER put your phone into your back pocket).
After some days of drying I was able to turn it on while plugged in and except for the battery everything worked. I replaced the battery and everything went back to normal. Sometimes the battery wouldn't charge over a specific level and sometimes it just turned off but since yesterday it keeps turning off as soon as I can see the lockscreen. If it's plugged in it stays on and I can use it as always, everything still works, but it's basically impossible to use it without a charger
What could be wrong? How I can identify the source of the problem? Is there a log I can use or some diagnostic tool?
Thanks a lot,
Thomas

Did you use an oem battery? If after using a genuine Samsung battery you still having issues, it may point to the charging part of the motherboard.
The battery I bought was sold as "official" Samsung and it looked exactly the same. I also didn't buy the cheapest one so I guess that's fine. I don't think that it's a problem with the battery since the phone boots up until the lockscreen appears and then shuts down. If the battery was dead it would crash at any random point and not always at the exact same time. The overall behavior is pretty strange since it stays on and works perfectly fine as long as the charger is connected.
So is there a log I can search through? Mayber there's some kind of low voltage warning or something like that. Otherwise I'd have to sell it as a defect device on ebay and I would rather like to keep it
