Case or no Case? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I got the One M8 a few days ago and with what happened with my DNA I got a Defender case. I got a case mainly to keep the phone itself as close to like-new condition as possible. I also have a hard time holding the phone bare w/o having it slip out my hands. I wanted to see how everyone else has their phone either with a case or without. Also if you had the phone since release or close and don't run a case I really want to see what type of conditioning it's in.
Here's mine in my Otterbox (yes that's pink)

I always use a thin case to avoid scratches, keep the screen off a surface when placed face down, and for grip. I never use a screen protector. For my M8 i chose this one and am quite happy with it. It will also fit in a Seidio SURFACE belt-clip holster. Doesn't look bad either.

I got the UAG off Amazon. It's pretty slim but offers great grip and protection. Also has a hole in power button for remote control too.

Defender case since new with zagg screen protector

I've been anti-case/anti-screen protector forever.....even with my DNA. The M8, while gorgeous au natural, is also very slippery. I went with the Dot View because I like the added functionality and it makes it grippy enough that I won't drop it. It's not a great protective case like an Otter et al...but (knocking on wood) I do not drop my phones and it protects the screen from scratches in my pocket/bag/etc.

I use the spigen slim armor case. Fairly thin. Has air cushion corners for shock absorption. You can mix and match multiple colors. Two piece case. Rubber interior with tpu cover.

I was running mine naked until I recently just bought that same case...for the slip prevention. I had the phone slip out of my shorts and between car seats a couple of times. Happy with this case.

I got a black Otterbox Defender the day I received the phone for the same reasons you bought your case, protection, makes it easier to hold and I really like the kickstand feature, I use the phone at night as a bedside alarm clock.

I went with the clear case Verizon sells. I like it, and a phone that looks this good really should be shown off in my opinion. I'm not at all sold on otter boxes. I used one briefly on a BlackBerry and I thought it was the most overrated piece of craps ever invented. I don't do the screen protector thing either. Modern screens are damn near impossible to scratch with normal use. The last time I used one was on my Rezound, and only for a short while, and after 3 years I only had one scratch as a result of jamming my phone in my pocket with my keys.

Used the HTC Flip Case (didn't like it much, and in any event it gave its life for a test phone); a no-name clear TPU case; the Spigen clear case; and a Dotview case. Oh, and the clear case that Big Red sold with the rubber strip around the side. I prefer the Dotview case. I really like that functionality. I feel the other cases leave the screen too exposed.

Use a case. I had a Dot View, it fell out of my pocket from maybe 2' off the ground at the most when I was leaning over. Dot View flipped open, phone landed face down, hairline crack that eventually spider webbed. Flash forward 2 months. Hardest phone to fix screen on ever-the guys who replaced it, broke other things in the process. Now I bought used M8 and Otterbox. If you crack the screen you can almost just toss it. I bought a mint used one for not much more than the screen replacement cost.

From my Incredible 2, DNA, and now M8 I've disliked cases. They always make the phone feel bulky and take away from its design.
For my M8 I have a Phantom Glass screen protector that I cannot recommend enough, and a skin from Slickwraps to avoid some of the phone's slipperiness, prevent scratches, and in my opinion make it look better.

So I went crazy and bought a UAG case, Spigen slim armor, and a Zagg glass screen protector. The slim armor came in and its the same color as my phone (love that) and it is a perfect case (for me). It adds enough bulk so that I can grip the phone better and to protect the body from scuffs, and its thin enough to feel close enough to the actual phone design. Also the detail of the case is spot on.
After hearing about tat issue with the cracked screen I'm glad I got a glass screen protector. As for the UAG, don't know if I'll try it or just return it outright. I may just use the UAG whenever I'm one handed vlogging and use the Otterbox as a travel case. In any case (no pun intended) I want to at least get the $60 out of my Otterbox.....

No case, and this is the only phone I've ever owned that I have dropped a few times. It's never broken, but plenty of scratches on the screen now. Still never going to use a case because I use the official car dock. The screen scratches way too easily though. If I ever break it I'll replace the screen - it is difficult, but nothing compared the the M7 or plenty of other older phones like the MyTouch 4G Slide.

I have always used some kinda case. I have outerboxx defender on HTC one m8. Perfect condition.

I use a case called poetic from Amazon ~$8 and its about same quality as defender otter box just no clip and I use extreme guard tempered glass. Overall nice grip and has lasted so far 8mths

I am using the Otterbox Symmetry case. I like how it is a little thinner and lighter then the commuter case which I originally had on my M8. The rubber power button on the Commuter case started causing my phone to turn off on its own, I have not had the problem with the new Symmetry line Otterbox has.

I've got a moto e (2015) and no case...

[Review] HTC Desire Commuter Series Case

Hello
A few days ago I received the Otterbox Commuter case for my HTC Desire ..
And I want to publish my review on this case .

The Commuter Series Case comes in three layers :
Silicone case
Plastic cover
Screen Protector
* Design -
It looks much better from pictures I saw on there web site (www.otterbox.com) .
The case isn't more thick from the TPU Case .
* Quality -
High quality of materials .
There is a big quality difference between this case between 1-5 dollars cases on eBay.
* Protection:
The case feels good in hand .
Protection of three layers as I mentioned earlier
Silicon covers all ports (charging / USB and headphones) it's good thing against dust and moisture.
Silicon is higher from the screen so you can put the phone on the table without danger to the screen. Same thing about the camera , The silicone hard plastic gives you the possibility to put the phone against the back of the device without any damage to the camera .
Anyone who wants better protection than that (though in my opinion do not have to) you need to search for Otterbox Defender Case .
* Price:
Case costs $ 34.95 (without shipping) and you can find this case on - www.otterbox.com
- Advantages and disadvantages in Case that I found so far
Strengths:
Case with three layers -
A screen protector, silicone and hard plastic.
Silicon coverage covering all ports , something that I think is very helpful against dust and moisture.
Coverage isn't really thick .
Very easy to press the volume buttons, power button, something annoys me in TPU was hard to press the power button.
Weaknesses:
One small thing that annoys me is the dust on the accumulates up and down the exposed silicon area (because it's not hard silicone, also it has advantage and disadvantages).
Can be cleaned with a transfer finger on the dust or air.
This is an excellent Case . And this is the end result of my impressions from the Case :
Protection:
4.5 out of 5
Design:
4.5 out of 5
Price:
4 out of 5
Total
4.5 out of 5.

Hope you enjoyed my review
Thanks!

No one liked the review?
Looks nice! I rather prefer sleeves, but might buy a case for my Desire some day just to make sure it doesn't get any nasty damage .
I don't like this case because (from the pictures) it doesn't protect Desire right where is more fragile - edges.
EDIT: Or it does? :/ It seems like it has 2 covers (rubbers + plastic?)... cannot see really good.
i have one of these. agree 250% with your review. nice job btw. good pictures.
i have had one problem. ive taken the case off and put it back on so many times that the hard plastic cracked and the soft silicone tore a little. but its all gravy still works wonderfully and you cant see the cracked plastic or the tear. plus, i think im going to talk to my accessory vendor or otterbox about replacing my ****. they probably will.

Good review. Been rocking one on my Desire for almost a month. My one beef is how slick the hard plastic shell is. It needs a bit more grip to it. Other then that, great case!
How about screen protector
I ordered one commuter case,
And olsa Zagg shield on my desire, What do you think about peeling the old zagg shield ?
The hardcase is a bit too slick. Great review though!

If you don't have any bubbles on your ZAGG screen protector Do not install the otterbox screen protector . Save it until you will have problems with ZAGG .
I can't tell you anything about Otterbox screen protector because I'm using right now Martin Fields screen protector
screen protector works well. No complaints from me
Ive been using this case since the day it came out. I'm a truck and coach/heavy equipment mechanic and its held up quite nicely to the abuse it sees every day. I wonder if the Defender is that much better.

LMAO I totally agree. I went to grab mine, slipped off of the counter top of the sink in my bathroom, and dumped right into my toilet. Fished it out very quickly, phone was fine. well protected thanks to my case. but that sucked!
I had my case in the end. It's ok but it's not stylish as it seems from photos. It's screen protector is easy to install but it's size a little small i think. Case is bulkier than it seems also. But i think it's one of the best in the market. I'm thinking about that Jet black gel cases.

It's not too bulky in my opinion , It gives very good protection relative to his size.
Getting used to it and it Feels better.
I totally agree. I only use otter defender. Size over protection is livable. Dropped mine the other day off a 14 ft ladder and she just bounced no damage what so ever. Can't see using anything else. And defender has protector built in. Bonus.
Set Via XDA App
This is the case if you want protection and not a bulk one.
I lost my phone the last sunday in a snowy park and after 3 days under the snow I found it!
It's in excellent form. Only a scratch on the screen protector because of an iceberg
It was a miracle , I was ready to order a HTC desite hd .
Thank you HTC thank you otterbox

Otterbox or Ballistic Case

Hi,
I would really like to get your opinions on which case I must buy for the Infuse. I've always use the Otterbox for my previous phones and now, I just saw the Ballistic HC/SG cases. After reading opinions on the web, it seems that they both offer reliable protection.
My question is : What case would you reccommend? The Otterbox Defender or the Ballistic HC/SG Case? Can you provide the reason also?
Thanks!
I have the Ballistic case. It's a bit bulky and weighted, however, it's a great case. I've never used the otterbox so I can't compare the two. Basically, if you want your phone protected I'd recommend it, otherwise its a turn off because it covers up such a beautiful phone. You lose the slimness and the lightness of the phone with the case.
I have both and in "my opinion" the Otterbox is by far much better fit not as bulky side buttons are easier to use and built in screen protector is better.
Thanks for the reply. The Ballistic has some bumps on the 4 corners which seem to protect the phone if ever it falls. 1987dram, does it feel big in the pockets? Also, is the silicone on the Ballistic loose and comes out at time - it seems there are small holes on the rubber case for the silicone to grip, but isn't that loose?
I have a Zagg shield on my screen, will it interfere with the Ballistic protection screen?
I have both so here is my input. If you want a case that is pocket friendly Oterbox all the way. One thing I hated about the HD case is that it would stick to my pocket when I took it out and put it in. Another thing that pushed me away from the HD case is that stuff would always get inside the screen protector and I would have to clean it daily. I have never had that problem with the Otterbox. So basically if your constently droping your phone go with HD, but you almost always have to use the holster because it is NOT pocket friendly.
Edit: Forgot something.
On the HD case the little holes only get loose around the corners. The Otterbox has a ridge design that goes all around the case preventing that. You would also have to take the screen protector off your phone or the screen protector off the case or you will get water marks.

otter box or ballistic
I also have both and I ended up selling the ballistic case. The fit and finish on the the otterbox is better the ballistic case ( the outside wrap) If you take your phone out more than 2 stretches the case. And because of the button parts I had to trim the rubber inside for the volume rocker. Just my .02 cents.
Thanks for everyone's input! I'm going for the Otterbox since it seems to offer better protection and is more appealing to look at.
not the ballistic case
it fits loosely and the buttons don't line up very well
otterbox is quality
I have the Ballistics case and have tried the otter box. I have the Ballistic with clip just because the phone is too big to put in my pocket. I dont know you some of you got a bad case or i just got lucky, I take my case apart to clean every weekend, I have no problems with the rubber stretching or coming out of the holes, if I want to put in pocket I can take the rubber off. The under case is plastic with no rubber, so sticking in my pocket is no problem. I know the cheaper version of the case has rubber with plastic around it but not on the corners. I dropped my infuse 10ft off ladder onto concrete, no damage to case or phone, bet you cant say that with the otter box. I use a screen protecter on my phone also, no bubble issue either. No button issues. I say Ballistics case all the way, but that my opinion.
The otterbox is the way to go I have had the balistic and the diffender and the defender is the way to go IMOP

1 question again, which hard rubber case is made up of higher quality material : Ballistic HC or Otterbox?
Otterbox difenter has the better build quality.

I had an Otterbox for a year on my HTC Evo and loved it. This time around I went with the Ballistic HC case because it's two cases in one. You can leave the big rubber on for super protection or off so it's smaller and slick looking.
I love my Ballistic HC case and I wouldn't trade it for any other case on the market. The material it's made of it better than what Otterbox uses. The rubber is much nicer IMO.
I paid $50 for it on Amazon. (I opted for the next day air shipping because I'm impatient) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BTBGEO

BALLISTIC ALL THE WAY!
Returned three Ballistic cases due to poor button alignment.
Used/use BodyGlove soft gel with Platinum holster most often, but did purchase Otterbox Defender finally when it came out from Buy.com for $27.99.
Otterbox fit is perfect like four previous models I've own/own, but for some reason the screen cover seems to be more succeptible to scratches than earlier units.
Called Ballistic CS about button alignment and they acknowledged issue with some batches, but would only tell me to "try again" by returning to store.
Call Otterbox about problem and they'll send entire replacement with no questions.
Thank you ...........ز

Both are good, But i found Otterbox is good and much effective compared to ballistic cases. Check this out, I bought one Otterbox Cases from sfplanet.com where i got 30% savings in its original price by using the coupon code "OTT30OFF" and free shipping also!
I have the ballistic case and do not like it. It seems to nearly double the size of the phone and the front plastic window distorts the screen. Additionally the rubber outer sleeve does not fit well and comes loose in places. Also it makes the side buttons nearly impossible to use. Hope this helps.
I really like the Ballistic. Saved my phone a few times.
But as was stated, it's hard to use the side buttons. What I did was slip a real thin piece of cardboard between the rubber power button and the Infuse's power button. Now all the buttons work perfectly. You may have to adjust the position of the cardboard.
I'm planning my escape from the digital world!

BEST Slim Case

So I had an otterbox for my phone but it definitely added too much bulk.
I went ahead and bought a variation of this case: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SGH-i..._1_9?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1328678954&sr=1-9.
It barely adds any bulk, is comfortable to hold, and is probably one of the best slim cases for our phones. I haven't seen any other ones this size. I ordered a red one off ebay for about the same (amazon didn't cover them).
My white skyrocket + this red case looks amazing!
Platinum Series from Best Buy has been my favorite with several devices.
Hard rubber feel, adds minimal bulk, flat black
I forget the name brand manufacturer of the case, although I think best buys "brand" are cheaper anyhow. Guys on here know the name brand, I'll edit if i remember.

Ya they're the Seidio Surface cases and at Best Buy they're $35 whereas on the Seidio site they're $55 I think... I love the seidio cases and have used them on last few phones. Only thing about the PT cases from BB they're a little looser than usual... The bottom cap on my case got a little loose after taking the case off the first time and seems like it's getting looser every time I take the case off... Guess I'm gonna have to look for another case that fits in the holster...
This is the one I got this from eBay (link):

I bought a slim case by Diztronic on Amazon and I'm pretty impressed. It has a simple design and doesn't add a lot of bulk. Best of all for $12 delivered it can't be beat.
How much thicker would you say that SGP made the phone?
There is a rubber that goes around the screen which slightly raises the case but not by much...the rest fits like a glove so not much thicker.
Rearth has a slim case. i love it! BEST SLIM CASE. i also have a sgp neo hybrid as my rugged case.

I agree with you, for a slim case there is nothing slimmer than a TPU case. Also the TPU is smooth enough to let it slip in and out of your pockets.

Have you seen the rearth case? It really looks like it's slimmer than the TPU cases...
It does look like the Rearth case is better than the TPU cases and I would like to try one but they are currently out of stock for the skyrocket everywhere I have looked. I don't like the tpu cases I have tried since the ones made for slim phones cover the buttons and make them hard to press. I like the "hard" mesh cases that are the most lightweight and thinnest that I have seen for other phones, but the only two types made for the Skyrocket that I have found are either hybrid with TPU underneath or one I found on ebay that is thin and light, but does not protect the bottom or top edges or the corners and sticks out a bit so looks poorly made. Hopefully Rearth will produce another batch for the skyrocket. I currently have a snap on hard plastic type that works fine but is difficult to remove and since I occassionally have to do battery pulls (flash a lot of roms) and sometimes use a seidio extended battery, this is a factor, plus it is not as slim as it could be.
Has anyone ever dropped their phone with a Diztronic case on fro 3+ ft? How did it fair?
I currently have an Otterbox Commuter on my Captivate (which is getting replaced by a Skyrocket) and it has kept my phone from damage, but it adds more size than I like. The TPU cases don't look like they would protect a phone from more than scratches and small drops.

I have dropped my SR from roughly 4ft on a couple of occasions with a diztronic case (and SGP protector). One time it landed flat on the screen and the other time it landed on the top left corner and bounced a bit. The case, however, did its job (as did the screen protector for that matter) wonderfully and not a mark on the phone from dropping.
However, I can say that the diztronic gets dust inside it very easily and it has started to scuff the back and sides of the phone where it rubs. Not that serious to some but it is happening more and more as the case stretches out so if dust scuffs drive you nuts, beware.
I got my SR off Cl and it came with an Otterbox Defender. Solid case if you abuse your phone. I didn't like the size though. I've used the TPU cases with other phones and they are good, I've also used Casemate Barelythere...another solid slim option too, but they both offer very little actual protection. I wanted some protection without all that bulk so I bought a Seidio Active and love it. It adds substantial protect without excessive bulk.

I come from the "slim" mentality, formerly I had a case-mate "Barley There" for my Blackberry 9700 Case Mate - Barely There 9700 | case-mate.com and now I have the Seidio Surface.
I am not used to a case protecting the front of a device, as the Active does, but it has saved me from a bind or two. When I had the barely there, my phone's corners got dinged up all the time. However, I find myself taking the device out of the case often because despite the fact that it is very small, it's not as small as the device itself (the case probably adds 4mm).
For the Active I would say:
Slim: 4/5 (4MM > without)
Protection: 4/5 (Minimal shock absorption)
For the Rearth i'm thinking:
Slim: 5/5 (I would say 1 - 2 MM > without)
Protection: 2/5 (corners open, face open)

Has anyone ever dropped their phone with a Diztronic case on fro 3+ ft? How did it fair?
I currently have an Otterbox Commuter on my Captivate (which is getting replaced by a Skyrocket) and it has kept my phone from damage, but it adds more size than I like. The TPU cases don't look like they would protect a phone from more than scratches and small drops.

I dropped my skyrocket from 3ft before with the TPU case. It was onto concrete/ sidwalk/ roadway material. I dropped it twice and there was no damage.
The only bad thing about the TPU cases is that the matte grey one turns yellow after a while...
Also, like another member mentioned, the volume buttons are really hard to press, or they press themselves if you don't cut the plastic out... but if you do cut the plastic out of the area where the volume buttons are, then it's hard to press the volume buttons

Darn, that's the one I got

THIN case

Whats the thinnest case you have found for the S4? I've been looking at various cases, and they are all so thick ( I usually go naked.. ) but I would like to put something over it for drop protection ( so no, skins don't work ). And don't suggest any of the crap offered by SPIGEN, I'm done with that worthless company ( ALL support issues with them ).
ITSkins has the ghost and Zero.3, but neither is available STILL ( they where suppose to be on the 15th ) and you can't pre-order them either....
Everything else i find just says "Thin" or some other wonderful adj, I'd like a number and facts. Thin is subjective....

I have the case mate barely there case. I have to say, it feels so nice in the hand.. Because of the matt finish. Better than any other case I had. And I also had the spigen neo hybrid. The look is also casual. Really like the style.
Here some foto's I just took.
Hope it helps.

I have the ringke rearth slim and it looks similar to the barely there above but even thinner (by the looks of his pics). Not much protection but improves grip and barely any if at all bulking up of the phone

i have this tpu case that to me doesnt feel like it adds any weight or thickness to the phone itself. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BYPZU28/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
here are some pics to show you what i mean. notice 2 of these pics you can see how the case works well with the mime ghost glass screen protector. it's also partially see through.
found this on ebay
Clear 0.3mm Ultra Thin Cover Case Screen Guard for Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500
This 0.3 case covers the top and bottom edges too, this will be the thinnest you can find on the market with a full protection. I've one when i'm using my S3, looking for a S4 one and found this.:good:

I agree. It doesn't add anything thickness but HOWEVER, it does add some to the width making the phone feel wider.
He said no neo hybrid

After everything I have read about Spigen, I am very hesitant to buy one of their products. The casemate looks pretty nice, but I don't like the openings on the top and bottom. I want a thin/light case, but I want a little bit of fall protection in it.
I've just got this one, loving it so far.

Serious recommendation: I was in the same boat, and didn't think I would find anything I liked. I happened to be browsing at BestBuy while my wife picked out case. I noticed some RocketFish branded cases that look really slim. Asked if I could try one on my phone and it fit like a glove, barely added any size to it, but definitely makes it feel like I'm not going to accidentally fling the phone across the roam just taking it out of my pocket.
I also have the Ringke Rearth ultra slim case - which was not only the thinnest I've seen, but also very cheap!
I keep the Spigen Neo-Hybrid case on my phone though - I had an S3 get nicked up at the bottom where the ultra thin rearth case didn't cover. Outside of the neo-hybrid I think the rearth cases are my favorites - considering I bought one for my S4 immediately and had one for my S3 I'd feel confident suggesting it.
I purchased both the Ringke Rearth Slim and the Spigen Neo Hybrid. While the Spigen looks nice it really does add a lot of width to the phone. The Ringke is easily the slimmest case that I have used for any phone. Not to mention it only cost $2. The matte black has also been great for adding grip. My only complaint is that the Ringke case is very difficult to remove.
I have a Spigen Ultrafit. Its pretty darn thin.
I like the matte finish.
Spigen Ultrafit
Edit: it is just thick enough the effectively recess the buttons to protect them from drops, plus it works with a tempered glass screen protector. AND...its only $10 shipped with Prime.
what is the point of cases that dont cover the top and bottom? my dad's s3 has one of those and it got destroyed on the bottom from a small drop

It would have to hit a very uneven surface...the corners are protected. You would have to drop in on gravel or a curb or something like a car door sill. If you drop in on tile or flat concrete it is impossible to hit the edge because of the gap created by the corners. I prefer minimal protection. My main concern is really protecting the corners back and front since those are what are going to hit 99% of the time. And the buttons...you can break the board connections (trust me I know, lol) if the phone lands on its buttons. I actually was thinking of going naked since the battery door can be replaced so easily and it is the entire back. Just a screen protector and a replaceable back. I have insurance. Also, I am a middle aged dad...I am not in the situations that you would drop a phone that often.
All that being said I will probably get another case at some point just because, lol.
I have the Body Glove phone case. Made of soft rubber for a nice all around grip. I purchased it at Walmart for $15. Link is for image of the case.

I had this case for my S3 and loved it......anyone know if there's a case just like this for the S4? I keep my phone in my pocket so I prefer the headphone jack and the charging port to be covered unless I'm using them.

Supposedly the neo-hybrid makes the headphone jack extremely small though...I LOVE the look of that case, but as a Beats user, I'm afraid :crying:
DBA Cases has a thin case that is avaliable in six different colors.

I have the Ringke. It is very thin. I don't feel like it would do anything to prevent the screen from cracking. It would prevent scratches to the back though.
I now have a Chinese knock off neo hybrid. Add with the genuine. .. Pretty thin on the back but it does make the phone wider. I do feel like this will help obsorb shock in a fall.

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Case - Protective Cover +

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Cover - Protective Cover - REAL REVIEW - 720p @60fpsIn this review I did an unboxing, and explained why Samsung's Protective Cover is better than Spigen's Neo Hybrid Case. Before I got this case, I thought that Spigen's Neo Hybrid was best, but after less than 1 year of usage the side cover of Neo Hybrid broke up. There were also some other problems with the Neo Hybrid case which I showed in this REAL REVIEW.

I used this case in my device but I like more the Otterbox cases in terms of durability, The Spigen is easier to put on and take of but the Otterbox are made for tougher life. I use my device to do sports and I must use a case that is hard enough and not too bold to fit in my pocket.
I like this cover a lot. It has many adventages. It fits perfectly meaning buttons corners. It has cutouts in perfect places and with right shape. The back is made of tpu harder plastic which makes it quite tesistant to drops and hits. Tje sides are made of silicone which makes it nice in touch. Only thing problematic is that the back could be more sticky to avoid sliding outta hand. The rear cutouts for camera and speaker have small raise ups to help avoid scratches on camera glass and provide the possibility to jear spealer when the phone is on its back on desk or something. The front has like 1mm stick out part ariund screen which saves hits on tje gorilla glass when you put it upside down. The cutout on back for camera has a wall of material between it and led flashlight to male it more stable and avoid bigger rocks or dirt to get to camera glass. It looks lile it
I purchased the Spigen Slim Armor View good case. but.. the sview door broke in two months
Im a big fan of the www.lowprocases.com samsung s4 case. Its slim and make my phone look bad ass. Easily get asked what phone I have. http://static1.squarespace.com/stat...e12/1425585170209/samsungs4b.jpg?format=1000w
I had this case for my old Note 2. Great case, but I don't think the TPU edges offer enough protection from drops. I rock the UAG or Speck Candyshell. Amazon has it the green one for $3.50.
Pknockle, no one cares about your sh!tty cases.
i bought one of those before but it was a very tight fit, and when I put on my wireless receiver, it made it really tight and the buttons did not align. I use a simple roocase bumper case and a UAG case now. Both work with the wireless receiver .
hi, I wanted the armor Spigen slim but given the feedback, too fragile

I have one and I haven't had any problems with it. I do notice some lines in the plastic forming near the bottom of the buttons where I can see it breaking eventually. That's only because I take it off to switch batteries a couple of times a week. The case gives the phone a very solid sturdy feel and the rubber absorbs impacts very well. I've dropped it a few times and you can hear that the impact was absorbed.
Otterbox Defender
I used Otterbox Defender for the past 2 years, got it after a week of using the flip case that i hated. Its very durable but its not with flaws, after 2 years (i have no complaints or regrets), the screen protector / plastic is too scratched i just pull it off (im using a tempered glass anyway so no problem.. The rubber jack covers and port covers gives way as well.. and recently the side rubber also rotted more and more but it looked like Rick Grimes in Walking Dead, old and seasoned... haha.. it survived heavy usage as i practically bring my phone everywhere lol and my S4 practically looked brand new because of my Otterbox.. i would really recommend Otterbox if you're looking for heavy duty cover and if you dont mind the bulky appearance.
I have this case too. Bought a Spigen thinking it'd be better but it just added unnecessary bulk and didn't feel as good.
nice case
I use Spigen cases
still prefer bumper cover.. this case makes the phone bulkier..
thanks:good:
I personally think the Speck candyshell grip is the best case for any phone out there. You can't beat it. Great aesthetics, amazing grip, very slim/light, and fits perfectly on the phone, and not to mention, a very tight fight for the phone, giving you a ton of confidence that the case won't come flying off if you drop it.
And shout out to the body glove tactic case for the s4. The only other case that comes close to the Speck grip case, and on certain days, prefer it over the candyshell. Never thought I'd find a case as good as the Speck grip case.

I have a new candidate for best case for this phone. Body glove tactic. Less grip than the Speck, but still gives a good amount of grip, and what I love about this case is how slim it is when holding the phone. Feels almost as slim as a naked Galaxy s4 (not quite, but as close as you can get with the amount of protection you get with this case), and not as wide feeling like the spigen slim armor, or the Speck. The specks not even wide feeling, it's just that this case is so lean.

Nice case to look at, and very protective, but too wide, and doesn't have any grip.
If you want an all around great case, go for the speck candyshell grip, or the body glove tactic. Me personally, I'm done using cases. I'm not gonna sell or trade my phone at this point, so really don't care anymore if it gets a few scratches here and there. I'm still using a screen protector though, because the screen is the most important thing on the phone. Besides, I'm really careful with my phone, and probably dropped maybe 2-3x in the entire 4 years if owning this phone.
