Hi,i am new to xda so sorry if this post is posted elsewhere . So I have an lg d802t g2 white 32gb which I got as a gift from my uncle.it is currently running on jellybean 4.2.2 ,the software version says D802T10a-505-03.....I want to update it to kitkat.....I tried to update via the phone but after the software downloads it says invalid software package"....then I tried through the lg update tool via pc,it downloads a 1.6gb software and the phone goes into download mode but stops at 49percent ...I have tried a zillion times, and yet no avail.
Please guide me through this process, does this specific model have an kitkat update? If not how can I root and install a kitkat or lollipop rom?

Did you try install the new rom again? Sometimes this problems happen because a not good instalation.
OTA update won't work when your android device rooted, you need to full unroot first to get OTA update
Hello,
New Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update for D838-HKG sets is available. But everything time i try to update it gives an error, says, suspect of rooting and Update service is not available for rooted device.
I have unroot my device even after it is giving similer error. Please help to update device.
because you already rooted it once. unrooting with su app. will not going to change that. if you want flash d838 lollipop update via lg offline flash tool 2014. look for a kdz and flash it that will update your phone to lollipop.
bartdotnet is right. I had the same problem too, and installed the update thru the LG offline flash tool
the most recent KDZ version is v20a (for my phone D838 HKG), and you can download it from http://lg-phone-firmware.com/ (it's about 1.2gb in size)
search for a tutorial on using the flash tool, and you're done!
android version in v20a is 5.0.1, and the battery life is worse than before, so think twice before taking the plunge
Hello
Just got a small problem with my phone. I have rooted and unrooted my LG L50 multiple times now with different programs, iv changed to boot image which is somehow messed up now even though it was fine before and i'm wondering if there it a way of reinstalling android on it (kitkat 4.4.2) or maybe even put android lollipop onto it if possible.
Please reply quick thanks
for lollipop we need unlocked bootloader witch im currently working on.but i will probably faill--.-- to get your android 4.4.2 installed you will need flash tool and a kdz file just follow this guide and good luck http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 .. and btw this will not wipe your data you will have to do that later
L50 Sporty
I tried to install two KDZ ROMs by the KDZ updater however it consists as Phone not found, and by the LG support tool it arrives at 80% of the rom install in the error apparatus. Anyone who can help thanks.
Hi, I have an lg g4 at&t h810. It is on android lollipop 5.1. I am trying to update it to marshmallow but it is saying ur 'software is up to date' the software version on the phone is H81010i and build number is LMY47D. I have checked it. it is not rooted. I have seen manual updating tutorials but they say ur software should be H810100. Is there anyway i can flash stock firmware using kdz method as mentioned in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
I dont want to brick my phone so plz suggest a working solution for me. Thanks.

I am trying to update it to marshmallow but it says 'software is up to date' i tried updating it manually but that requires version H81010o. I have searched on the forum and version H81010o is an upgrade over H81010i. My phone is not rooted.
