Hello there, I just got myself a flip cover, and I would love to have the functionality that turns the screen on and off when you open or close the cover like on CM11S but on CM12.
Does anyone know if there's an xposed module or something like that???

[Q] What ROMS (other than Droidkang) have the ability to disable "Smart Cover Wake?"
I am currently running DK19 and one feature I love is that I can disable "Smart Cover Wake," it's in the display submenu. I have a flip cover and when that is enabled, when you close the flip cover the phone sleeps, and wakes up when you open it. I like to disable it at times, especially if I want to listen to something from youtube, but not watch it.
With DK not being updated often, I'd like to move to another ROM. Today I tried 3 other roms: Sensonic HD, Mahdirom, and AICP. None have this feature to be able to disable "Smart Cover Wake." I asked the dev behind cRoid about it, and he said he'd look into it, but he just released a new build so it could be a while,
Just wondering if someone knows of other current roms right now that have this feaure that allows you to disable smart cover wake. I'd love to jump on a current rom that has this feature.

I think I saw an xposed module that has an option to disable smart cover wake. Don't remember what its called but have a look around in their repository.

I would also gladly settle for a current custom rom that does not have smart cover at all, i.e. a rom that if you use a flip cover, opening and closing the cover does not wake/sleep the phone.

I might be wrong but I think CM does not have this feature. Or at least did not back in December !

CM does not have it, I have tried CM and other CM based ROMS. Like I said, I have it on DroidKang (which is CM based), but I'd like to find it on other ROMS since DroidKang is not active. Surely there is another Nexus 5 ROM out there that has ability to disable smart cover wake. I don't think the dev behind DroidKang (who is now missing) developed this.

I am using indian version of Moto G (Dual Sim) :angel: with Kitkat Vers. 4.4.2. :victory:
Also, purchased a Nillkin Fresh Leather Flip Diary Cover Case For Motorola Moto G. (see image)
Now, benefit of this case is that it has a cut out on the top side of the flip (see image), so that whenever there is an incoming call,caller id should be visible in that cut out. This was the primary reason to buy such an overpriced case.
It also locks the screen when you close the flip and wakes up the screen when you open the flip. Smart thing to have !:good:
But, unfortunately the screen remains off whenever there is an incoming call, it remians off until you open the flip. Ideally screen should wake up for incoming call even if the proximity sensor is blocked until you answer the call. Its definitely the proximity sensor at work but its not serving the purpose of the cut out.
If any one noticed the same issue and has a solution to the problem, please feel free to answer or PM me ! Would be highly Obliged !

I was wondering, if there is a way to turn on the screen on any android device {I have an i9100(CM10.2) and an i9505 (stock with root)} by drawing a gesture on the locked and turned off screen?(a gesture like the ones in GMD, or Nova) I know it would consume a bit more battery, and that there are apps, like Gravity box, that aim to do this, via the proximity sensor, or gyro/accelerometer, but I'd like to do it with the gesture(a little like the LG G pro 2 or the LG G2...
Anybody have any idea, suggestion? I've heard or read of something like this before, but I cannot find it anywhere...

Just installed CM12.1, and I'm smitten, to say the least!
I'm pretty sure I'll feel right at home with it, and the immense tweaking that can be done.. (not least the change of scaling via DPI.. dear god)
However, I'm in a bind. My SCR24 isn't functioning properly. I have dug out what apks I can from system.sin file in the official FTF, but are missing some vital functionality
* Won't lock the screen when I close the cover
* Naturally no sizing to fit the screen on the cover, with no widgets
However, it does turn on the screen when opening the cover, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
I dug out 'cover-widget.apk' from the .sin file, but found nothing else.
Anyone in the know? Would love to make the CM12.x experience complete!

So, I've been using this phone for a while on stock ROM and I noticed that the screen automatically turns on and there are random touches when my phone is in the pocket. Today, it got so bad that my phone went to the camera app and took some photos, switched to video and recorded some videos while in the pocket.
I have already enabled accidental touch protection in settings but that doesn't seem to work. So, basically, I was wondering if someone managed to fix that, perhaps with a third-party application.
I also have root so if there is an xposed module or magisk module to fix this, do let me know.

Use a case with raised display guard (as you should anyway).

already use one and I don't like keeping the display away from skin because then I have to turn the phone around after taking it out from pocket.
I disabled double tap to wake for now because of this. I really hope they fix this bug on One UI 5 but I doubt it.

Disable the tap to wake and lock feature, if you use Always on display select its tap to show function. these should solve your problem.
